Yep back with a sponsor of Petro Works and their new Transfer Case in the Samurai I set out to show that a Samurai could run with the Jeep Speeds and what not.

Hey it did OK... well it finished the race in about 7th place and 11 hours later.
400 miles never seemed so long.

7th out of 15 so not bad but was in no way going to win.
We had a ton of problems.
Two new front leaf springs, no front 4 wheel drive, smashed oil pan, broken radiator and lost all the oil in the rear diff.

Plus more but thats enough to get the idea.
Well great to finish and well we moved on and back into the buggies and cars.
Gosh its great to be back in a car with more wheel travel instead of a Samurai.

Here is a couple shots.

Okay, all I can say is I did race in a Samuri, although it was one hell of a ride. We at least finished, with like 5 min left. All I can remember is my good friend Jeff showing up with an icechest full of dirty water and an apple, angels sang when he gave me that apple. biggrin.gif I think I may have even consumed some of that dirty ice chest water. blink.gif It was still A LOT OF FUN no matter what.
