Tut Tech Racing is proud to release our Class 1 Lite, or Class #3000 Race Car. Our T1 Lite
The only difference between my current race car and the new Class 1 lites or Class #3000 is the engine and wheel base. You must run an Ecotec and you can have a longer wheel base. Up to 103 inches. I have been building my cars for going on 9 years now. I have been racing this first T1 Lite prototype car for 3 years and my wife Pepper is currently the points champ in her class in it! Points champ in a first prototype car that is now 3 years old. Nice! Take a look at this short video of Pepper Racing her Class 1 Lite Buggy. (With the super quiet muffler you can hardly tell how quick she runs by but take a look at 1:30 seconds into the video in the back of the shot you will see just how quickly she catches and passes a class 7 truck!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8_1qzIOuRQ Prices from $1,500.00 for a frame not welded, built with steel tubing. Frame welded with front beam, rear pivot tube with IRS brackets $2,500.00 built with steel tubing. Or $3,500 if built in full chromoly. Complete cars from $25,000 to $35,000 depending on extra options. Over the past 3 years I have been racing in my T1 Lite Race Car I built from bar sticks of tubing to a full blown Lite Racer. When I built my car there was no class for it yet so I have been racing it in the open sportsman class finishing 2nd in points in 2007 and 3rd in points for 2008. Racing against V-8 long travel and anything goes open sportsman class. With the car running and doing so well, plus so easy to drive my wife Pepper has taken over as the full time driver for 2009. While racing my sportsman car I have been working on a new T1 Lite Car that a person could get into for a decent price that you could race with it and have fun with it, without breaking the bank or your back for lack of suspension. Pricing starts at $30,000 for a car ready for racing. (You install and provide your own Ecotec Engine.) It can be built as a single or 2 seat Class 1 Lite car and is just at 13 feet over all length with a 103" wheel base you don't need a big trailer or heavy duty truck to tow it. You can tow it with a small truck and 12 foot trailer. It’s all about saving cost not only on the race car but for the cost of racing. It will be able to run in the Sportsman and Trophy classes so you don't have to pay a ton on entry fees which makes the car even more affordable. So once you buy the car you can afford to race the car. It will pass all safety and tech at MORE, MDR, SNORE & have inspected for current rules at SCORE & BITD events. The car is built with American made parts and products from Kartek and the Transmissions from Wright Gear Box. The car will actually be able to run in other classes such as 13, 12, 10, 2 or 4. So you are not limited to only racing in the Desert Lites class but because of the beam you are allowed into many different classes if you so choose. With the lower cost its a very viable car with economy right now if you wanted to get started in racing. I have made several improvements over my race car plus some changes to the over all looks by making the car more standardized for both assembly and buying of parts so you could buy it, take it home and then purchase any upgrade or repair parts from your local shop or off the Internet and not have to come back to me. The VW parts will be the standard but you could build this car with many combinations of motors and transmissions if you wanted to upgrade. The car will be a long travel car as far as Volkswagen goes with coil overs, bypass shocks and aftermarket arms and parts. Wheel travel is 16" to 18" at the front and 20" to 22" inches at the rear depending on the parts you want to run. It will look very similar to my race car here. Our car is now 3 years old and still racing.. new cars have new upgrades, sleeker look and lower front shock mounts. ![]() ![]() Pepper and I getting in for her race. ![]() ![]() One of the other differences is your cars back cage will be set up so you can install your own Ecotec so you can officially race in the Desert Lites Class. ![]() You can also purchase just the frame from me and assemble the car yourself. Contact me for frames starting at only $1,500 dollars! ![]() Here is a cool action shot of us and a C1Lite battling out in the desert! Sweet! ![]() I Now offer the First Class 1 Lite Cars in a Single Seat Version per SCORE'S official Rules! ![]() ![]() Some of the quality of my fabrication and welding skills. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for looking.
