Well started the work on building my new testing track. Nice owning 2+ acres.. especially in CA.. you don't get property anymore with homes..
So I decided I need a test track and started working on it.

Best of all and It's behind my shop.. so it's perfect to test then head up to the shop adjust, fix etc. and head back and test. Nice!

The biggest part was to clear all the weeds and some bushes etc.
Then for a simple test track I used the lay of the land to find me a couple areas I would run into in the desert or at say a Lucas short course race. For example a nice roller that drops and goes up hill, a drop off down and up to "G-out" my car. A nice tight twisting section to really crank the steering and turn tight and test. The up hill section and last but not least a jump.

So I think I was able to put together all that.
Not to mention around the area we have tons of trails and dirt roads for all the high speed testing and just driving.
This test track is more like testing for say a Lucas race or kind of a stadium or short course.. with everything they would throw in.

The dirt is awesome as it is mostly clay.. I also have 2 fire hydrants at the track.. will work great for watering everything.
Up top has a great 25 foot down view where you can watch the entire test track from up there. I will get a video when I have time to break out a car and drive around it.

Nothing much to show now as well it's hard to really see what the track looks like.. but I will have it marked and soon driving on it will start to wear it in a little etc.
It is mostly for testing my Mini Lites but anything can fit on it at 12 feet wide... Basically I made it 2 lanes wide.
For now I went with the lay of the land design style to save on a bunch of tractor work and cost of renting and paying for that. I don't own one.

Anyways so here is what I have started.. I know it's going to be really hard to see and tell.. but I will post anyways.. Once I put a few bails of hay and orange fencing up you will see it better... on and start watering it.

Ok so from up top looking down where you can watch the entire track here is the center.. looking across the track at the jump

off to the right is this 195 degree turn... banking down into it.

(there is a high side or low side.. again the track is basically 2 lanes wide. or rougly 12 feet in most places)

down after the jump at its turn.. depending on which way you want to run the track.. or up to the jumps..

and the far right looking back to the far left... this is the down hill like 195 degree banking turn and the flat twist back out of it to the fast section.

Fast section out of the tight twisting section up over a roller

Over the roller and then up to the banking turn

Well that is about it.. should make for a decent testing track.. has a lot of little up and down hills, rollers and the jump to be able to dial in the suspension and check out the steering etc.

Also I only used just the 2 acres in the back and I have another .25 acres on the side not even being used.. Here

(I can do a small kids track there or something?) Future site of my nice big race shop.. but that is a long way off.. so could be used for whatever??

Well more to post later on it when I have more.. Thanks for looking
