I will write up a full report soon but I just wanted to let everyone know we made it home safe and Pepper, Martee and Christine kicked butt and had no problems and even stopped and helped a fellow female racer who rolled out.

They had a blast and thanks to all the friends and family who came out and showed support.
This race ment a lot to us to raise money, show support and help all those woman fighting cancer and to help improve the chances of those who may get cancer to survive.

I will add more but this was just a quick post to let yo know everyone including Kitt made it home safe and sound with no problems what so ever and all the females did an amazing job. I am proud of each and everyone of you and especially my wife for being such an amazing woman and being so wonderful to me and for me to realy on with my father right now. Thank you sweets. blowkiss.gif

Here are just a couple pics of friday and I am sure Martee and Mark will lend a hand with way better photos to come soon.
Thanks, Tut.

After 2 laps Martee jumped out of passenger side and in went Christine to finish the race and try to get in 2 more laps.
(Pepper and Christine were unable to go out on the last lap because of Pepper and Martee stopping to help a rolled single seat 9 car with a female inside the rolled car by themselves. Pepper and then stopped for over 20 minutes to help her, wait for help to arrive and flip her car over before they continued on. Hey the race was about helping people and they sure did!)

Also at the races I have never seen so many roll overs, flips and crashes.
Seriously there was a ton. Here is just one caught on camera of us running to help and then flipping them back over.

Ya this was a really good race. Kitt ran awesome made it the hole race without a break, bend or leak. thumbs_up.gif You did really good job prepping her Tut. ext_beer2.gif Pepper you did a great job driving and you also had two really good co drivers. blowkiss.gif

It was kinda boring in the pits this race. 16.gif But it was good. It gave us time to help with the two cars that rolled over jawdrop.gif in front of our pits. It also gave me some traffic directing skills. eeek.gif banghead.gif

Oh ya and mark great pics as usual. coolpics.gif eusa_clap.gif

Well this is my race report...ha ha ha..sorry babe you were not in the car.

Woke up at 630 to my phone ringing, it was Martee my co driver who was very excited and wanted to make sure her driver was up and going... blink.gif
It was a beautiful day, got some good rest and was ready to go have my talk with Kitt. unsure.gif I always have my little chat, but this time I really wanted her to know that I was going to need her to behave since Tut would not be with me to help while on track...and if she did not want strangers handling her then she would have to behave till we got around each lap to our pits. biggrin.gif I told her we would have some great friends, Matt and Uncle Bob out there to make sure we were ok, that if she was to do ANYTHING to please make sure they were close by. We had our understanding and I went to talk to my co drivers.

Martee and Christine were both very excited as was I. I still had some nervousness with how Kitt has been behaving these last few races, but with Martee and Christine saying Kitt will be great and so will you, it helped to calm some nerves.

I started with Martee in the car since she had already pre ran the track the day before with Bobbie in 847. I thought she would be very helpful since she has been a co driver that she would help me thru the course and get me in a groove. Martee had only started a few other times so she really thought it was neat to go sit at start finish with me. I cant say enough about what a great co-driver she is. thumbs_up.gif She did great calling out cars, road crossings, mile markers, and even talked to Kitt. Our first lap was flawless...we rubbed her skid plate a few times, but I think it was mostly because we were not warmed up yet...Martee knew the course well and by the time we got into our first pit, we were doing great. about 53 min laps. With a quick pit for fuel, and a once over Kitt...we were off. I was told she looked great, not one drip of oil was leaking, CV's were great...just go have fun! thumbs_up.gif

As Martee and I came around the corner about mile 7 we noticed the underside of a car looking at us! Not good..also not good was not seeing anyone around, not even the driver...then as we pulled off track and slowed to a stop to check it out...this little head pops out of the top of the car. I have never gotten out of Kitt so fast. Martee had already worked on calling it in, and we were out of the car to help! Oil and gas were puddling at the back of the car, and when we got this girl, Paula, out of the car and got her to safety, I went back to make sure the car was off and no fire had started. She told us her name, car number, date and a few other questions just to make sure she was ok. Both Martee and I once'd over her to make sure there was no blood or broken bones. After calming her for about 10 min we called our pits again and gave them an update. Low and behold Uncle Bob was not far and was ready to hop into action for me. I explained everything was ok, she is fine, and so were we, and I would radio when we got going. We continued flagging traffic around her car and some guys in a truck finally arrived. After helping to calm poor Paulas nerves and flip her car back over, we started to get back into our car and head back on the track. We were down about 20 min, but well worth helping a fellow lady to get back going again. eusa_clap.gif

As we were given the kudos from our pits and told them we were off and running..Martee and I got back in our grove and headed into the desert once again.

The course was great...a lot of faster sections...WAYYYY to many nasty rocks, i thought a million times I was going to get a flat. I tried to drive conservatively and just get around the track flawless. Once we got to start finish on our 2nd lap, Martee called in and had pits get Christine ready to go.

I came in, again fuel, and a once over...switch drivers which was done so very quickly. eusa_clap.gif And Christine and I are off on our 3rd lap. I hope I am able to pick it up to get her a 4th lap. Christine was very helpful and talked to Kitt as well. She kept me focused and aware of any cars that were behind me, and help me to navigate the course. Tut could not say enough great things about her radio voice either! thumbs_up.gif Christine and I had a flawless run but unfortunately they checkered me when I came thru start finish. I am sorry again Christine you only got one lap in Kitt...but dont go anywhere....she seemed to really like having you in the car! notworthy.gif

I would like to thank in no particular order...just how they are coming off my head.... biggrin.gif Martee, and Christine for co-driving. Mark and Jay for loaning me their women....Mark thanks for the photo'ing also! Jay for helping to run such a smooth pit with Tut. Scott, even though you tried to send me out in traffic once....your not fired! Thank you!. Chris, great fueling! Matt for running around the desert chasing me and cheering me on. I could see you everywhere you ended up in your bright Red Tut Tech Shirt! Uncle Bob for being out there for me as well and hearing you say you had me covered was very comforting! Jenzl for flagging me in to pits...for being such a shorty...you make a big presence when you need to, jumping around and waving me in! Your so funny! wub.gif Nick, I saw your smiling face a few times, and Brandon, and the entire Damzl crew, The 847 crew, even our friends with 1688 Keith and Steve! Thanks for the Bud Lites...next time stay longer to help me with them! ext_beer2.gif My family for their love and support on such a hard weekend, Mike, Dave, Anna, Lupe, Chip, Roxanne, Ellen, Kristina, John, AnnMarie...it is always great to have you out at the races. laugh.gif Hedz you are such a great spirit out there. You always put a smile on my face, and thank you for all your great help for this event. Cory, and all the friends and family that showed up to support Martee and Christine as well. Paul and Paul with Trailglow, the pink rope lighting was super fun, the stickers and the great memorial to my father in law meant a lot. Thank you! I think last but not least in any way is my husband, Tut. Babe without such an awesome prep and I am sure a few choice words with Kitt, she would not have done so well. Thank you for double, tripple, and quadruple checking everything. She ran PERFECT!!! blowkiss.gif I love you very much and appreciate all your love and support for me during this race. You run a great pit and I would not be able to do this without you.

I think I have been breathy enough...Thank you EVERYONE!!!! See ya all in December! vw_logored.JPG rules!

I was so excited for this race. I handed out ribbons at work, I made the little poster thing to sit at tech, and tried to get everyone excited about Breast Cancer.

I am so thankful for the chance to ride in the car! blowkiss.gif You guys have no idea how honored I am that you let me ride along. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I couldn't wait to get in the car, and I was praying Kitt was nice enough to let me have a ride. We all know she has thrown a fit or two lately .smackbottom.gif So when I got the chance I was super excited. biggrin.gif I was nervous that I would let Pepper down and miss something or cause a problem. But everything went well. It was such an awesome experience to actually be in a race! notworthy.gif

I am glad she performed well and I am so glad I was able to participate in such an awesome event! thumbs_up.gif

The pictures are incredible. We had so much fun racing, laughing, eating, and Jason with his fireworks. Thanks again for the wonderful experience. I cant wait for the next race!!

Pepper, Tut, & Kitt! Thank you!!! From the first conversation way back when that you might need a co-driver, I've been excited about this race!!! Then when it was confirmed that I would BE a co-driver, I knew we'd have a Blast! Our friendship has grown a LOT this year, and it was GREAT to sit next to you and RACE...even if we did have time to chat about an upcoming Halloween Party. Hey, Kitt was having as much fun as we were, except for the rocky hills, she told us how much she hates those!!! lol Seriously, though, thank you Tut for all the prep you did. I know there where many hours you gave so we could Race for the CURE! I had a really great time, and Pep's Race Report pretty much says it all. I can tell you this, I don't like rolling up to a car that's upside down and no one in site, it's scary. Even if it was a "points" race we would have stopped to help! Just glad everything turned out ok. Sorry Christine didn't get in 2 laps, but I'm sure she would have done the same. And after race, the time together was so much fun! I think I used my inhaler 4 times just listening to Tut tell stories, such a riot! We, Mark included, laughed ROFL.gif until it hurt! I have to thank him for all the great photos too coolpics.gif See you in between, but for sure in Dec. Thanks for having me be a part of your team for an AMAZING RACE for the CURE!!! wub.gif
