Skills: As a courier, Sideways simply "delivers the message" or "the package" to those who require his services. He uses his speed and finesse to arrive on time and in excellent shape. Sideways is also a near-flawless tracker for he avoids most danger by hiding out and simply observing the Autobots and the humans. Meaning, he can obtain valuable information and they would never actually see him from a distance hiding within the shadows.

Weaknesses: Sideways is a coward, plain and simple. He tries to avoid any sort of physical confrontation whatsoever if he can help it and is often hiding behind those Decepticons that are valiant warriors compared to him; not that he's afraid or anything. But his cowardice is clear whenever the Autobots see this Decepticon using a much larger and deadlier teammate to do the dirty work for him. So, in any case, once he is spotted he usually attempts to flee the area.

3.Description: The Magna Missile locks onto a target's armor and it goes where the target goes, following the enemy. It is obviously a homing missile and the impact causes the enemy to lose balance, most function and control over itself. This is a method of his "scare-and-watch" strategy as he sits back and laughs while they attempt to flee from the missile.

3.Description: This spinning blade of destruction is used for close-combat when he is faced with no other option but to stand and fight. It is located on both arms and activates automatically. He can use these in a variety of ways.

2. Function: If he can, Sideways attempts to instill fear into those who oppose him by trying to utilize everything in his arsenal. If successful, the enemy retreats while he launches his dreaded Magna Missile their way for his enjoyment. Basically, intimidation is key.

2. Function: Despite his avoiding combat situations, Sideways is a competent hand-to-hand fighter and has shown many skills in his fighting style. He rarely uses this but has eliminated Autobots in the past just for fun. So, it is no surprise that he can hold his own in battle.

Physical Description-
Appearance: This Decepticon transforms from a silver Audi R8 into a good-sized robot that stands equal to, or slightly taller than, Autobot Jazz. The front end converts to make his chest while side doors act as his arms with two wheels on each arm. The side windows slide back behind him and are attached to his shoulders to sort of look like wings a bit. The rear headlights are beneath his bumper chest and make up the abdomen. Sideways has clawed fingertips, rotating blades on either, burning red optics and a very evil look that makes up his allegiance with the baddies. The tint to either window is a maroon color which indicates that he is not friendly. This also extends to the Decepticon symbol located somewhere on his back as if it were a tattoo of sorts.

You can see internal gears moving inside of his forearms, and not to mention a turning disk on each elbow. On either arm is his spinning saw blades and he makes great use of such fierce and deadly weapons.

Personality-

Overall: Sideways, though he is loyal, is also pretty much a full-on coward. It is a known fact that he tries to avoid fighting and entering battle whenever he can, to distance himself from it. He is not a warrior by any means and would rather hide out and observe than get involved in the war between Autobots and his own faction, the Decepticons. Sideways intentionally tries to remain in the shadow of much larger Decepticons, where the Autobots might not notice him; this is partial to his avoiding combat at any cost. Even on Cybertron he did not try to stand and fight with his brethren for the simple fact he did not wish to involve himself. On Earth, this coward keeps much the same practice as he hides out in the shadows to observe only. He has come to the realization that the Autobots and the humans have made some kind of a pact with their races and it could prove to be vital information.

Apparently, he is the envy of his Decepticon teammates because he is not forced to combat with their enemies and it hinders their feelings towards him. Many have stated his unparalleled cowardice and take note of his tendency to remain behind his larger teammates for they can "protect the messenger", so to speak. Sideways has never been the one for physical confrontation unless his enemy is weakened and cannot resist the inevitable. For example, his Magna Missile is his most notable weapon and he utilizes it against most fearful adversaries, causing them to flee so that he can fire it anyway and simply sit back and watch the fireworks. It's no surprise that he would rather fight a weakened, unarmed enemy than face them at their full strength. No one ever said that this Decepticon was a courageous one and it is made clear that he, too, has speed of his own and uses it to flee the scene.

Dependable? Well, in certain situations he can be. He is often sent out to deliver any message or packages to fellow Decepticons wishing to rule with Megatron. In that aspect, Sideways is extremely useful for he is made for being a courier and his speed enables him to do it in record time, too. He's the type that even though he will not force himself to get involved in combat, he still has other functions that are just as important to the team. His reconstruction is thanks to "The Doc", a miniature Decepticon teammate, that repaired what Autobot Sideswipe had destroyed. This is perhaps the only time Sideways would ever will himself to fight in battle to exact his revenge on the Autobot that had sliced him in half while he was in his alternate car mode in Shanghai.

Any Personal Beliefs: Sideways believes that even though cowardice is frowned upon, he is still alive and kicking. This simply means that running away isn't always the worst possible option for those who wish to avoid combat by any means and his speed enables him to outrun most Autobots and human authorities with ease. Thus, he loves to speed away to live again another day.

History: On Cybertron, Sideways was named for his inability to get involved and choose a side; thus, the name Sideways. But it was Megatron who allowed him to be a part of a side that he knew he would oblige. Back then, it was known that he would never actually enter a situation where combat was necessary and rather watched and observed what fell through while remaining in the shadows. It was then that the leader of the Decepticons, Megatron, was ready and willing to head towards Earth in order to rule humanity with an iron fist. But he was frozen in the arctic where Captain Archibald Witwicky first discovered his inanimate body. Others were sent out towards Earth to search for their lost leader and revive him. These included Decepticons Barricade, Bonecrusher, Blackout, Frenzy, Starscream and Brawl. But it was little Frenzy who located Archibald's great, great grandson, Sam Witwicky, because the glasses of the captain lead to the coordinates of where Megatron was being held. It turned out that a Government organization called Sector Seven (now defunct) held his body in cryostasis for obvious reasons.

Back on Cybertron, Sideways realized that even though he received the call he had refused to join his teammates. Rather, he remained on his own planet for the simple fact that he was not ready for death of any kind and knew that the Autobots would soon arrive. Below, he observed the Decepticons as Starscream lead the rest of the team to the Hoover Dam where Frenzy thawed out the fearless leader, and where Starscream had a brief meeting with him. Ultimately, the battle was for the Allspark which had been guarded by Sam thanks to the Autobot Bumblebee; but Megatron wanted it. Sideways seen this as greedy and selfish but continued to observe. The Decepticons were defeated in an orderly manner by the combined efforts of Autobot and human, with help from the military. First, Bonecrusher was destroyed by Optimus Prime and that hindered their muscle quite a bit. Brawl was taken out by a blast from Bumblebee while the others were disposed of in various ways. But Sideways watched as Megatron was defeated not by Optimus, but the boy, a human boy! It was seen as ridiculous and utterly humiliating.

Following their defeat, Sideways had finally decided to leave for Earth with others who had made the decision to accompany him and reclaim glory for the befallen and destroy the Autobots. Once there, Sideways scanned a brand new silver Audi R8 for his alternate appearance to hide out on Earth while the others separated from him to find Megatron. He appeared in Shanghai where N.E.S.T., a military organization lead by Optimus Prime with human troops and his own team of Autobots, had soon followed. Sideways was hiding out with fellow Decepticon, Demolisher, when Prime and his team had arrived but they had only sensed Demolisher. Sideways decided to remain hidden but the troops' sensors indicated that there was another Decepticon in the area. So, twin Autobots Skids and Mudflap attempted to outrace Sideways but ended up getting tossed aside when he transformed into the villainous Transformer mode. But it was Sideswipe that ended up getting the best of his fellow speedster for he used one of his armblades to dispose of the Decepticon while Sideways was in his weaker vehicle mode. The chase ended after that.

The Doctor, aka Scalpel, aided the awakened and revived Megatron in torturing Sam Witwicky and during the forest battle between Optimus and Megatron, with two Decepticons helping, Scalpel found the sliced body of Sideways that was left after his brief encounter with the Autobot Sideswipe just days ago. It took Scalpel a while to finally repair his fellow Decepticon brethren despite the fact he failed his mission in Shanghai. After his successful repair, Sideways has slightly changed his outlook on the whole "no fighting" policy for himself in order to exact his revenge on the bot that took him out with a lucky strike - Sideswipe. It has been suggested that they are now bitter rivals for what had happened and even Sideways had stated to others that his days spent in the shadows are over until he disposes of his arch enemy. He remained in hiding for the duration of the return of The Fallen and observed as the "brothers" that didn't care about him left him to die were wiped out one by one by the Autobots, and of course a revived Optimus Prime. The key was The Matrix, an artifact that helped revive Prime but also unleashed the powers of Energon.

Sideways watched from a distance as The Fallen was defeated by Optimus, as well as the so-called fearless leader and his second-in-command Starscream. They fled the area where as Sideways was awaiting the time to strike once again and get his revenge on Sideswipe for taking a cheap shot before. Now, armed with his dreaded Magna Missile, Sideways is one pissed off Decepticon with the intent to do harm. He has vowed to aid the Decepticons in the oncoming battle that will surely follow between them and the heroic-but-foolish Autobots. Still, he awaits... ready to strike... from within the darkest, deepest shadows. With his partner, Demolisher, their itnentions are to take no prisoners when it comes to the Autobots.
