It's all good, chief. variety is the spice of life, even for geeks

Its just the nature of our Pack that folks play more or less at different points. that could be a problem for a guild with different objectives, but I think its just fine for us.

ooops! what did I do? I removed Mo's post somehow..... show's I'm not a true geek I guess!

An Alliance Guild and an overarching story.
Posted by Ozzie Ozgauth - 10-25-09 17:16 - 0 comments
I've been championing the idea of a sister guild in the Alliance for literally years now, to very little effect. Our efforts have mostly fizzled (mostly since our mains are all horde- go figure!) but I was hoping to find an Alliance guild that values RP in the same way we do, and enjoys crafting the same sort of storylines. I find it's a tough search. I recently stumbled across a promising guild called "Light's Edge" but they're pretty quiet so I'm not sure what's going on with that.
As you all might have guessed, I'm halfway through developing a long-term storyline for both factions, I'd hate to run only half of it. If you have any characters you'd like to involve, please let me know. It's gonna be big!

 City raids - who's interested?
Posted by Ireena - 10-19-09 22:27 - 5 comments
I'd like to organize a guild-wide city raid on the Alliance capitals, but I need to know who (and with what character) would be interested in attending. Also, I'd like to know what sorts of scheduling you'd prefer, i.e., is it easier for you to go after all of them in one shot, or would it be better to do one each night/each week?

So, would anyone be interested in going?

Other Masters, do we have any guilds we could extend this offer to as well to fill up any extra slots?

 Guild Gaming Schedules
Posted by Neferi - 10-11-09 05:37 - 2 comments
*** This is the place to post when you are available to game during the week. I know sometimes things change from week to week, but just post your normal availability Monday-Friday and weekends. Just so we have a generalized idea of when people can be around on average.

We are not committing you to HAVE to be around at these times, it's just good for us to know for when we try and schedule events.

PLEASE NOTE: Post your server time availability, NOT your individual times, to avoid confusion!! Thanks!!!

My Schedule:

Monday-Friday: 5pm-9pm server

Saturday: Noon---whenever server

Sunday: 11am---2pm server

 Guild Meeting Recap (October 10th)
Posted by Neferi - 10-11-09 05:27 - 0 comments
Okay, we made a few changes to the guild this meeting, so all the things I'm about to recap below are VERY IMPORTANT. Please read, and feel free to comment on, each of the varying points below.

These issues are how we are restructuring the guild, and we had some great feedback from all those who attended the meeting to come to these conclusions! I hope to see even more feedback and work on keeping this guild running smoothly, and everyone having a good time!!

OOC Topics------->

--------> First, we have decided that the recruitment of Non-Rp players to the guild will be allowed. We are happy to open our doors to rp and non-rp members now, and we would like to make the guild a fun place for both! We will maintain being an RP Guild overall, however we are making accomodations so that we can expand on our membership base.

-----------> Second, we have switched the guild channels around. The /g guild chat is now for all conversation OOC, making it easy and accessible to those newly joining us. The /o officer's chat is now the RP ONLY channel. This gives a seperate place for the rpers to actively take their IC conversations, without having to worry about competing with anyone.

That being said, we are also encouraging the use of our /join WolvesDen channel, which is our universal channel for conversations with those in and out of guild. This is a great place for us to talk between guilds, or to keep in contact with people if we are on alts, etc. We'll come up with rules for who we invite to the channel, but for right now all runners alts in and out of guild are welcome to join the channel, and a few select friends will be in the channel as well. We hope to make this a good cross guild channel for us to organize with others, but for now lets just get used to using it.

---------->Also, we would like everyone to post their schedules for when they are active during the week. Not just when you can do runs, but when you are active in general. There will be a topic pinned for this, please go and post your gaming schedule there so that the Masters can be aware of when the best time to organize runs and events to put on the calendar would be.

Plus, it helps us see what our guild schedule sort of looks like as a whole.

Please post when you are available to play SERVER TIME, not your time, to avoid confusion!!

-----------> We have also discussed the leadership of the Masters among the guild. Sometimes Mo and I can not always be around, so we have encouraged the Masters to communicate with one another often, and step up in leadership whenever the need calls for it. They are responsible for leading and guiding the guild as much as we are, and we trust them completely to do so.

So, as members be mindful to give them the respect and support they deserve, and as masters please be mindful to step up to the plate and be the leaders we know you are!!

*cheers*

----------> LASTLY, I have come up with (and the guild has refined) a few basic guidelines of the expectations that I expect all guild members to follow!!!

As a guild we have to have some structure, and these guidelines are designed to encourage activity. Please do not view them as a way to control you! They are simply things to keep the guild moving forward.

RULES TO FOLLOW!!!!!!

1. Every member (including Masters) is expected to participate in 2-3 scheduled events/runs a month
--------------->I will be scheduling events and things each week, and so will the Masters. The calendar will have plenty of things to participate in. All that we ask is that you pick 2-3 a month (at the least) and make an active effort to be there. This includes rp events, etc.

2. Every member is expected to attend the monthly guild meeting!!
--------> We are actively trying to make sure that we have a guild meeting schedule that will suit everyone. The meetings are held the second Saturday and Sunday of every month, Saturday will be an evening meeting and Sunday will be a day meeting. Mo and I will be at both, so we will make sure the two meetings will carry over to each other in the sense that if there is a vote needed, etc. we will make a decision after both meetings have occured and tally all opinions as if it were one big meeting.
This is to help those who can not always make it on Saturday night, have a chance to voice their say and vice versa.
I hope this works well!

3. Every member must join this message board, AND is expected to post within a topic on the board at least once a week.
-------> If you have just recruited someone, please direct them to the message board straight away.
The message board is very vital to keeping communication going among the guild. There are lots of topics, notices, and just fun conversations going on on this board and we'd like to see more participation!
I encourage everyone to hop on the board at least once a week and make your voice heard!!

***************************************************

Okay that pretty much covers it. As always, rules for signing up for events and runs still apply----->only sign up if you can committ to being there, and ONLY with the character you intend to bring.

****And if anyone has an issue with any of the rules, or you see that things on the schedule aren't working for you, PLEASE PLEASE mail one of the Masters, Mo, or myself so that we can be aware of it, and make accomodations to work around whatever the issue may be.

It is better for us to hear from you and know that you've got conflicts with participation than for us to think that you are just avoiding being actively involved with guild events!!!

 Naxx runs with AOS?
Posted by Zen-Aku - 09-14-09 20:30 - 8 comments
Moko and I have recently been contacted by Anoo, the guild leader from AOS. She's offering an invite to the Wolfrunners to run Naxx 10 (and possibly 25) with a raid group of hers on Saturdays I believe at 8pm server time. She's stated that she would like the Wolfrunners to fill in spots that are lacking since she really likes the Wolfrunners. Due to that she would rather see us have a chance to run with her guild rather than all of us having to pug spots that are lacking due to manpower for us and many of her guild members having different schedules now. The raid leader for Saturdays is still formulating a list on who they have going and will get with Mo and Nef about that sometime this week, however I am wanting to inform you all about this and just get a tally of who would be interested in running Naxx on Saturdays?

 Guild rp recruitment
Posted by Neferi - 08-29-09 21:45 - 5 comments
Hey everyone, the guild is growing and I love it! We are still maintaining the rp feel. We have a lot of good people who are becoming new parts of the family.

I wanted to see how everyone felt about inviting non-rpers to the guild?

I know that plenty of people in the guild do not rp, but have an rp name and stick to the rules we have set up. They are very respectful of the rp that happens, and I'm very grateful for that.

It has dawned on me, though. That we have plenty of friends and people we know who might eventually like to join us, but do not rp.

How does everyone feel about this?

We will ALWAYS be an rp guild, so don't worry. But, I'm wondering if there should be exceptions and rules put into place to compensate for non-rp recruitment.

Thoughts?

 Big News!
Posted by Ireena - 08-19-09 16:37 - 8 comments
Just thought we'd let you guys know smile.gif

During our little vacay, Jerrathe popped the question! We're getting hitched! We're going ring shopping today and have yet to set a date, but the point is - he proposed happy.gif

Expect an RP wedding sometime in the future wink.gif

To those on Facebook: Don't say anything about this there quite yet... we haven't yet been able to get together in person with our friends here and tell them. We want to tell them when everybody's hanging out, so mum's the word on Facebook until then. Jerr and I are waiting to switch our relationship statuses and mention it there until we see folks smile.gif

 Guild Meeting Recap! (August 15th)
Posted by Neferi - 08-17-09 20:43 - 0 comments
Okay everyone, this month's guild meeting was small, and not that much rp. Since we had to reschedule the meeting from the beginning of the month, our attendance was low, but that's okay. We simply grouped up in a raid, and did the meeting in raid chat.

Few quick things we covered:

OOC INFO--------

1) The First Knight (Paladin Master) position has been held by Kazuto for a long time. Kazutoa was one of our founding members, but due to circumstances, he's been unable to be in the game for over six months. As a guild we decided that is was best he be removed from that title, and brought down to Longtooth, so that his spot among us will always be saved yet it will allow a more active paladin to take up this position!

------------> With this new decision, that lead to us nominating Therrial. The guild unanimously decided that Therrial was more than deserving of the rank First Knight, and so later that evening he was promoted in the eyes of the guild! So, please take time to congratulate the new Master among you!

2) It has been decided that Wednesdays (day and evening) are now LOWBIE DAY!! The Lowbie instance run night, was a good idea, but many wanted to see it become a more frequent occurence, and it was suggested that we dedicate the whole day because not everyone plays later in the evening. If you are a master or lower level who would like to participate, please sign-up so that we know who is available to help as well as what lower levels need help!

3) This point is pretty BIG!! We have had numerous people mention that we need to make sure that we tighten up our scheduling for runs and instances during the week. There has been some concerns about sign-ups. PLEASE try to follow the following rules:
-----------------ONLY SIGN-UP IF YOU PLAN TO BE THERE! This includes instance runs AND another other meetings or events!! If you aren't sure if you can make it, then don't accept the event until you know for sure. Or if your schedule changes, please please, let someone know! It is frustrating to have lots of people sign-up for something, and then have a lot of no shows. When you sign-up people are counting on you, so please keep that in mind!
-------------ONLY SIGN-UP WITH THE CHARACTER YOU PLAN TO BRING!! This goes for instance runs mostly. When you accept to go on a run, we need to know what classes we are working with ahead of time, so we can plan. If you accept with your warrior, but are planning to bring your hunter, then that throws us off. We might need the warrior, and we are counting on that spot to be filled. This is another way to refine our grouping! THANKS!!

Okay, runners, that pretty much covers the gambit of what we discussed in the meeting. Instance and rp events are already scheduled for the coming week, so I hope to see some good guild stuff going!! I'm back on scheduling, so look forward to seeing plenty of blinking events on your calendar!!

See you soon!!! *howls*
