Emily grinned at josh. "Finally, Now we don't have to use the town." She said with amusement.
"I think that was the point." He laughed, "See ya!" he skated off. Emily waved and skated the other way, feeling the breeze on her face--she loved skating. It felt like flying. Or surfing on land. But she thought that was the point of it. Surfing on land.
She saw a few guys having some sort of competition, the tricks looked easy. So she moved on. Emily was one of the only girls actually skating--that alone got her some new friends. But she made it look like she was new to it. This was the way to hustle. Finding a particularly good skater, she tapped him on the back.
"What?" He turned around
"Hi, I was wondering if you could teach me a few tricks?" she batted her eyelashes, she didn't know why but this seemed to work.
He nodded and didn't a shove it, easy. He looked up at her with a smile--she pretended to look surprised.
"Do you want to have a comparison?" she asked smirking.
He smiled, "Yeah, lets make a bet; I win You give me twenty bucks, you win--" he snorted "I give you twenty bucks."
"That's cool with me." she said nodding at him to do the first trick. He started with a X-Foot, not very hard. Emily glanced up at the forming crowd and did a Ollie. Just to make him think he's winning. It worked, he proceeded with a kickflip,
She pushed off and skated over to the rails, which she grinded with what looked like difficulty.
He laughed "You may have another turn." He laughed again "I'm gonna get twenty big ones."
Her face changed then, it went from innocent--to determined. She glared at him then continued to do a double kickflip, adding on a pop-shove it, then a shove it. His jaw dropped. What was going on? Didn't she suck? He was confused.
About 5 minutes later Emily skated over to the ramp with twenty bucks. Getting bored Emily leaned against the wood and watched other people.
