The Plot

In the hills of England,

deep in the woods and hidden well away from any peering eye, lay Silent Hill Academy. Mistaking as a regular boarding school, the school holds secrets that only few—and the students that dwell within it—know about.

One hundred years ago,

a wealthy man named Sean O’Hare owned an estate and a hospital at the foot of the woody hill. His practices were unlike any other, and he was an expert in the medical field. He made a nice penny with his work. Not only was O’Hare rich, but he owned nearly the entire town of Silent Hill; the town named accordingly with the quiet hill and valley of the area. It was truly a peaceful little town, the O’Hare family having founded it almost a hundred years before. Sean O’Hare had the power to control every aspect of life in this town. But he was a fairly just man. He married a woman by the name of Clarisse Witherspoon, who also came from wealth. They had a son, whom they named Charles. Charles grew up a happy boy. But it was the night caught in the storm that changed him.

At 16, he was

welcomed to a party that he attended with his parents. His mother was well acquainted with the men of the town, particularly the wealthy ones. She dismissed herself to the ladies room, leaving her husband and only son to chat with the rest of the party guests. A while later, Charlie went to look for her mother, and stumbled in upon her making love to a good friend of his father’s. Shocked, Charlie fled the large mansion, and ran deep into the woods alone. The storm raged around him, being the only thing that ever rocked Silent Hill. Charlie stumbled into a well, and wasn’t found until two days later, cold, very hungry, and shaking. He was traumatized.

Charlie’s unresponsive state

was a disgrace in his father’s eyes. He began to respond in anger when Charlie didn’t stand up, look at him, or speak to him. He beat his only son, and even his wife, out of anger and frustration. His heart turned bitter and cold, and Sean O’Hare was no longer the selfless man he once was. Charlie wandered the house, silent, in his own little world. He was only aware of one fact, and he tried his best to ignore it every day: Hs mother had cheated on his father, and she seemed to feel no remorse. Deep inside his tortured mind, there brew the idea that his mother had ruined their family, had ruined him. He grew angry inside his shell, insane.

On a stormy night,

when his father was away, Charlie recovered one of his father’s pistols from the gun cabinet and shot his mother to death. Sean was overcome with grief. He had no idea his wife had committed such a crime against him, but only the crime his son had committed against his wife. He couldn’t stand to look at the boy. He needed to get rid of him. Up at the top of the hill, he began building. The building started small, but the building plans eventually grew. Sean stuck Charlie in this big castle, with only one person who would cook him meals. But the town grew suspicious of the family, and he captured the idea of covering it up. Thus, Silent Hill Academy was born. Sean interviewed random students, and particularly let them in if they were disgracing their parents.

SHA has thence become

a school and home for the kids parents are afraid of, that have become disgraces, disguised as a grade-A boarding school for the ages of 14-18. They aren’t even actually taught anything, but nobody dare cause any mischief in the school. The students aren’t treated like human beings, and are visited in the middle of the night by teachers and staff, drugged, while the staff have their way with them. The students are trapped, with no other place to go, and are mostly well aware that their parents are paying the school a nice amount of money to dispose of them.

The Visionary

was to find a safe haven, one away from the school, away from their untrusting parents. It was to find a place where they could just be, and not have to hide or be forced to endure cruelty because they were only being themselves, the people they were told to be all along.

As for Charlie, he died at 20 years old in the school, by jumping out of the window of the highest tower of the castle. He knows the pain these students suffer, and nobody but him could have empathized. He lived in a dreamlike state, much like the current students of the school. They keep waiting for the moment that they wak up, but every time it seems possible, it's only

The School Accepts...

Sexuality
Obviously parents could be disappointed of their child if they came out as gay or even bi. This category also covers kids who have sexual addictions or habits. They might even be pregnant or have some kind of STD. They fall under this category.

Rebels
The Rebel group consists of the heavily peirced, uniquely-dressed law breakers. Any sign of them trying to fight the norm, and chances are their parents could put them here.

Mental Illness
A self-harmist, a schytzophrenic, or a manic depressive. Any person with a mental illness is put in this category.

Others
The kids that parents are just mildly disappointed in. Their son or daughter didn't get into an amazing college, they fell in love with a person whom their parents don't approve of, they get poor grades and could give less about school, mom or dad just liked their brother/sister more than them. The others that nobody seems to be able to categorize in other places go here.
