I was bored, so I decided to start a forum all about MTG deckbuilding. People can post their ideas, or suggestions for decks, and get feedback from other Magic players. I'm sure Kenny and Rich will have a lot to say. Anyways, anyone is welcome to post here AND PLEASE PLAY NICE KIDDIES!!!

I don't have alot to say, seeing as how you guys seem to get the gist of things.
Two tips I would give you:
- Don't try to build ten decks at one time. One deck is enough. It lets you build up cards to trade, and keeps you focused on your strategy.
- If you like a card, and want to win using it, put 4 of it in your deck. It raises the chances you will draw it. Having one of a card means almost never drawing it.
1 of a card is a 1 in 60 chance of getting it.
4 of a card is a 1 in 15 chance of getting it.
The rest, we can discuss.

Ok i have a question, after buying some new cards today i came across a card i would like to build around. The card is Master of the Wild Hunt. Ill show it next time we play. Basically i wanna build a wolf deck and was wondering what kind of cards i should be on the look out for.

This goes without saying but a deck should consist of 60 cards, no more... no less. This is simply because the more cards you have in a deck the less likely your are to get a good one. Also you should have bettween 20 and 24 lands in a deck. There are many old people who will say it should be 20 but in a three color deck you want to have 24 so you will get about 4 lands by your tenth card and hopefully have the colors that you need. Yes there are exceptions to this rule when you factor in mana genorators like elves and some artifacts but its a good place to start. O and in a pack draft where your deck should be 40 cards it is smart to have it 40% land or about 16 lands. I won my second draft not because i was a better player then my final aponent or because i had a better draft but because he had 20 lands in his deck and tended to draw one when he needed a creature.

OK I NEED HELP!!!
My artifact deck doesn't go anywhere. It can prolong the game but there is no simple way for me to win. Actually the only way it has secseeded so far through the the powers of Tezzeret, Darksteel Colossus, or Ethersworn Adjudicator and i cant count on drawing them when i need them so what should i do?

Never played an artifact deck so don't know but if your issue is pulling the right cards are there any artifacts that can help you look throught your deck for those cards.
I wanted to ask, when building a deck is it better to concentrate on one or two colors or should i try to go for 3 colors to put some variety in my decks.

every deck needs a stategy, so as a result if your strategy revolves around SINGLE COLOR GREEN WOLVES (for example) i would recomend you try n' stay to the color that best suits your strategy. If you want a black burn deck, do black and red (and so on....)

Two colors is a good idea for most decks.
Three color decks rarely get the mana they need when they need it.
Even if they do, they also tend to have alot of high casting cost cards, which mean they react badly to game situations.
