Hey everyone,

Over the past week or so I have been mulling over some events and just wanted to run them past everyone to see who was interested in what.

Event #1:

Warmachine Tournament on April 15th

I figured this could be good practice for anyone going to Adepticon. We could use death clock rules with steamroller scenarios. 35 Point, pretty standard tournament.

Event #2

Wednesday night battlebox tourney

I figured this might just be cool to do for those of you who can't make it on the weekends. We could either do straight up battle boxes or switch it to a 15-20 point mangled metal. Depending on when people can make it in, we could start at around 6:30 or 7:00 and go until around 11.

Event #3

Caster Roulette Tournament

For those of you unfamiliar with the idea, in this format you create a 50 point list for any army, without a Warcaster or Warlock. This means no Warcaster or Warlock points for your list. When you begin each round, you "spin the wheel" and get a random warcaster or warlock from any faction. This does mean that you can get a warcaster in a hordes army and a warlock in a warmachine army. This also means that if you get a flipped caster or lock, they gain the focus or fury mechanic. Other than casters you can get things like "spin again" or "switch casters with your opponent". The exact details would need to be worked out and some casters would need to be supplied from the community as I do not have them all.

Event #4

Warmachine League

Standard league, standard rules, start at end of April or beginning of may as not to mess with Adepticon.

Comments, suggestions, and other ideas are all appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I'm down for the Weds night thing, and the regular league. And you know I'll work it out with my wife to pull off caster roulette. That just sounds too fun to miss.

All sound like great ideas. My preference order is;

1. 35pt Deathclock
2. 25pt MMTC
3. Who's the Boss caster shenanigans

I have trouble showing up to leagues consistently due to work/travel requirements.

There are two 25 pt events at Adepticon that you could mirror pretty easily to prep people for their other events. They're 25pt MMTC and 25pt Tier1. Both are Deathclock SR2012.

I look forward to any and all of these.

I'd be interested in the standard league play and the battlebox tourney. Although, for battleboxes, I'd rather see a 15-20pt tournament since it means players aren't solely restricted to battleboxes and factions without them (Gators, Scyrah, etc) can participate without having to look up a box list.

1. Sign me up, I am ready to play.

2. I would enjoy this event, but I doubt I could stay to until eleven. Eleven o'clock on a week night is going to be tough for anyone that has to go to work or school the next day. If you kept things on a clock and moving along quickly it would be more feasible. Each player would only get 16 minutes on a death clock for a 15 point event. That would be better than timed turns so you could take full advantage of your feats. Even a 21 minute death clock for a 20 point event would allow you to get three rounds in without going too long.

3. The "Who's the Boss" event sounds like fun, but you will need plenty of time between rounds for folks to sort out rules and get ready to play.

4. I always enjoy league play and would try to participate as much as possible. Leagues also tend to be new player friendly.

I am happy to see some possible event activity for UGG.

Now that Adepticon is behind us and May is almost here, are there any plans for one of these events to happen in May?
