Title: The Warsong Sentinels
Description: Official Guild Thread

Woohoo Cthulhu - October 29, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
Welcome to the thread for all members of the Warsong Sentinels. Here you can find the link to our Armory page as well as member lists, current goals and achievements in the battle against the Alliance.

Current Members on CoG:
Oldawan (Woohoo Cthulhu) - Orc Shaman, Skinning/Tailoring
Euthyphro (DoomMonky) - Undead Priest, Herbalism/Alchemy
Serisene (TheGeekGurl) - Undead Mage
Dirtyherby (Dirtyherby) - Tauren Hunter
Kaius (Kaius) - Blood Elf Paladin
Otheym (ColonelRoe) - Tauren Druid

This thread (specifically this post) is going to constantly be under construction as I add new members to the list and update various goals for the group and such.

Quest Update: With everyone making solid progress up into the 20s and beyond, it seems as though we're well on our way to achieving 70 by the end of March '08. Our main concern right now should be to stay the course, really. Keep grinding up and don't be afraid to drop a post here or in game for some instance running and the like.

TheGeekGurl - October 31, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
Ack! Too many threads for Wow.

How come no one plays a Rogue? A Female Troll Rogue? At level 1 she seems to have an attack that's just brutal... Just wondering... Do we need a Rogue? Maybe?

Woohoo Cthulhu - October 31, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Yes Manetta, you can play a rogue  .

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 1, 2007 07:04 PM (GMT)
A head's up to everyone - I've decided to spec my Shaman in elemental. This means that (until others get up to snuff) I'll be the primary DPS caster. Apparently the Elemental talent tree is getting a nice boost in the next patch and most of my points have gone there already. I'm also going to be dropping tailoring soon in favor of either leatherworking or (more likely) mining. The idea behind this will be to either be able to make my own leather goods, or to just make a ton of money so that I can take up enchanting once I reach 50-60. In any case, please don't go sell crazy with all the minor green items and such. If you're not getting a great deal on it, save it for whoever rises up to take on the role of out Enchanter.

Also, I think our good friend Jason will be joining us at some point, but I can't confirm this rumor.

TheGeekGurl - November 1, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
Ryon I think I still want to take enchanting, if someone will make my clothes! :D

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 1, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
That's fine. I'll probably opt for leatherworking, then. I might still switch up once I get higher level, but we'll see.

ColonelRoe - November 2, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
I created a Tauren druid named Otheym on the server with the intention to join the guild.

My primary focus is still my rogue on Scarlet Crusade but I'll still find time to run with you guys.

The druid is nice because I can tank/heal/dps as necessary. Profession wise, not sure.

Though if the group feels someone specialized in a more specific role would be more useful I can swap. I've played a mage to 70 so I can do straight up dps. I'm currently playing the rogue and love it. I've done a druid previously to 20 and have no problem with it. I've also done a hunter to 29 so I'm used to a pet class. I'm also interested in playing a straight up warrior if we need someone to main tank. I've never really done it but would be interested to learn.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 2, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
I think a druid will be just fine. I love the name, too. I might just have to make a Tauren of my own named Mouahdeeb or something...

ColonelRoe - November 2, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah I just checked the guild and saw more warriors then I knew what to do with :)

TheGeekGurl - November 2, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
I have a 12 Warrior and she can be forgotten! :D

I love my rogue!!

ColonelRoe - November 2, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
I enjoy the mage, as you can dish out serious pain but also have some fun tricks up your sleeve to survive. However in most PvE situations your job consists of nothing but standing place, hitting one button over and over and over again.

Having played the rogue from 60 to 63 in the past week I'm in love. It's a fun class, fast paced, tons of tricks to pull. You can go down fast (giggidy) but can throw around a lot of pain.

TheGeekGurl - November 2, 2007 05:40 PM (GMT)
I started the mage, Serisene, but she's so squishy that I'd just get incredibly frustrated playing her. Plus I like the melee. :D So far with the Rogue, who is only a few away from level 9, has only died twice at my own stupidity. I seem a lot more tougher than the warrior, or maybe it's because I deal my damage faster. I'm taking her to 70! :D

3rd toon is a charm!

ColonelRoe - November 2, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
Yeah, early levels especially before you get Blink are tough as a mage. You get some stuff higher up that helps avoid getting squished, but it's a constant threat :)

DoomMonky - November 2, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
As far as Warriors go, we really only have one decent. Smashesthee is our main tank atm. He's my upstairs neighbor and he's really good at the class. The other two (Killerrelik and Senspa (?) ) We don't know. They're just charter signers. We played a bit of WC with Killerrelik as our tank and he was really bad.

I'm still trying to figure out how to play the priest in PvP...

ColonelRoe - November 7, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Mid levels, if you're shadow spec'ed, you melt faces. Any other spec you find the best equipped warrior or equivalent class, and you stick on them and keep them alive. They do the killing, you do the healing, and you gain the honor for being there.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 13, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
A few noteworthy items about the 2.3 Patch -

* Guild Banks: This is a big one. We now have a repository for all our extra crap.

* Leveling Improvements: This is the other big one. Now we can shoot through a good chunk of the game a lot faster.

* Mail: You can now send up to 12 items in a single mail message. This is just awesome. No more mailboxes full of single stacks of things!

I recommend everyone check out the above link to see how their race/class is going to be affected.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 13, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Having just pursed The Armory for some badass upgrades, I've determined that I'd really like to hit Blackfathom Deeps and Razorfen Kraul next. There's all kinds of goodies in both of these instances!

TheGeekGurl - November 13, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
I just hit the patch link and read everything, I was looking for it lastnight, but obviously in the wrong place because I didn't find it.

I'm such a happy panda!!

How long did it take to download the patch? I think before I run, I'm going to have to go in an manually download it. I'm having problems with the Blizzard Download Client.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 13, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
It took me about 30ish minutes, I think? I kind of lost track of time while it did its thing in the background.

DoomMonky - November 14, 2007 03:43 PM (GMT)
I set my computer to download it before I went to work yesterday so by the time I came home, it was all ready to go.

I'd love to hit both of those instances. I'd also really like to go back to Shadowfang to get those robes, but at this point, I might just have to look for something better. I'm getting a bit high level for those.

TheGeekGurl - November 14, 2007 04:14 PM (GMT)
Okay boys, here's the deal and I've been waffling with it for a bit, but Monday the 19th, I'll have to start paying for my account, since my 30 day free trial ends. I'm probably not going to continue playing. I'm just too far behind, and it's taking up a ton of my time, and I'm neglecting other things, like my Trollbloods for one, my Husband, the Xbox360 that I've played all of 6 times and it was bought for me because I begged for it and some of our house chores. The best thing I can do for myself right now is to stop playing on the 19th.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 14, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
While I must admit that I'm terribly disappointed to hear that, I understand completely. I hope that you'll eventually be able to rejoin us in our efforts soon!

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 14, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
Also, use of the guild bank is going to cost us 100g to start. That's a bit steep, I know so unless I hear an outcry amongst us demanding guild bank space I'm just going to assume we're foregoing this feature for the foreseeable future.

Woohoo Cthulhu - November 15, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
Just a note to everyone - Brandon and I have discussed taking our alts into the Battlegrounds soon. We're looking at hitting Warsong Gulch as soon as we can hit 19. Any and all at that level are welcome to join us and I for one won't plan on doing anything else with my alt so this'll probably be a continuing feature. B)

ColonelRoe - November 19, 2007 05:13 PM (GMT)
So you're aware:

The 19 battlegrounds are the most brutal. Because it's the lowest level, the amount of "twink" characters in that bracket is BRUTAL.

Unless you planning on doing the same, expect to get your asses kicked repeatedly. It's not a pleasant place.

ColonelRoe - November 26, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
So I have a druid and a warrior both at level 20 now.

You people should let me know when you're playing through GTalk and I can hop on :)

DoomMonky - November 27, 2007 12:06 AM (GMT)
Next time I'm on, I'll definatley let you know. :)

DoomMonky - January 8, 2008 03:45 PM (GMT)
Is anyone out there? I'm 38 now, and have no one to do instances with. Where are all the guildies?

TheGeekGurl - January 8, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
You are never on when I am. And I'm only 20 so I can't do instances with you.

TheGeekGurl - January 14, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
I think someone should just PL me so I can start doing instances with you guys (when you're on). Otherwise, I've pretty much abandoned Kul Tiras and am playing a warlock on another server that I'm having too much fun with. No one's ever on when I hop on with Serisene!!

DoomMonky - January 14, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
Let's do that. You and I will set up a time where we can get together and burn you through some levels. It shouldn't take to long to get you caught up to everyone else.

I, on the other hand, should slow down a little. I'm a level and a half from 40. :)

TheGeekGurl - January 14, 2008 08:37 PM (GMT)
Sounds good! :) I'm rested fairly well, but am in splintertree I believe. Let me know what your schedule looks like and what times would be good for you. I'm pretty much free whenever.

DoomMonky - January 15, 2008 04:50 PM (GMT)
Tonight is no good, as I have my gaming group coming over this evening. Tomorrow evening, let's say at 20:00? It's the last Wednesday I have before class starts. :)

TheGeekGurl - January 15, 2008 04:58 PM (GMT)
Perfect!! :)

TheGeekGurl - January 16, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Brandon - I may not be around tonight, I have tentative plans. If they fall through, I'll hop on @ 8.

DoomMonky - January 16, 2008 10:40 PM (GMT)
Alright. I'll be on then and if you show up, cool. Otherwise, I'll amuse myself. :)

TheGeekGurl - January 16, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
Nevermind, I'll be there! :) I'll probably be on before 8, cuz Serisene is kinda dead. She needs to be rezzed. And I want to train.

DoomMonky - January 17, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Sorry Manetta. I was having trouble getting my computer to boot. Let's schedule another time.

TheGeekGurl - January 17, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
NP, I hung around for 1/2 hour, bored to tears! Who is Kaazi? Do you know them, or is it just another random player?

DoomMonky - January 17, 2008 05:48 PM (GMT)
Kaazi is a friend of mine and one of the players in the Serenity group. Her name is Andrea.
