So I was personally wondering (as I plan on purchasing a Xbox 360 in the next 6 months), has anyone actually had the red ring of death occur to their 360? Or for those that this has not happened to or for those that do not own a 360, what is your view on all these troubles with the reliability of the 360?

It actually seems to only appear after about a couple of years or so, as I personally haven't had any trouble as of yet, and I don't think it's THAT expensive to fix now, and nor is it costly to replace, Microsoft having dropped the price to match the price of the Wii.
The problem however is the fact it mostly happens after the insurance has ran out, which is a real kick in the... gonads. |
