LOL! Okay, I'll reply. I still haven't watched the latest seasons (I really have to check their DVD release dates here...or buy something with your DVD region code maybe), though I do at least own the first season of Atlantis and about four season's worth of SG-1 DVD's. And I was considering buying a box set of one of the early seasons of SG-1, though I'm not exactly sure when yet.
I like your sig, by the way. Though I prefer the Failsafe episode in that Season...though if it does get difficult to believe (even by Stargate standards).

I've heard lately that they are going to be switching over the Blu-Ray technology. I don;t even have one box set, but I suppose eventually I'm going to have to get one to keep up with all the epidose I'm starting to miss.
Thanks, I got it from a quotes page.

Oh, joy. I only recently buy a DVD-ROM to replace the loud one I had and soon it's going to obsolete? Tchhh. First I've heard of Blu-Ray actually (I just looked it up). The boxsets work out cheaper than buying the DVD's individually, though you have to wait longer for MGM to release them. My Atlantis boxset is Canadian, I think...the company selling them was based in Canada anyway.

That's a shame. I bought the Atlantis boxset for around £26 I think, just before Christmas a couple of months before it would be released here and probably half the price too. The new individual DVD's are probably sold around £17 each. Why does it cost you more?

I actually have no idea, given that they were made in this country... but it costs me almost fifty bucks for season six and seven, and principal photgraphy started for season 10 some time ago... and I don't even know if the Atlantis DVD 'Rising' is just the first episode or not.

Rising is a feature length episode, it's shown as a single episode on the DVD's/Videos but I think most TV stations split it into two episodes like happens with many of the feature episodes of SG-1/Atlantis now.

Then I'll just visit the nearby Roger's, Blockbuster, VHQ, etc, rental store and see if they have it in, find what the cover looks like and get the actual box set. Like heck am I renting it, I'll need a lot of time to finish the entire thing.
