General InformationName: Nathaniel Ladell Title: The Wolf Gender: Male Side: Red Nationality: Caucasian Physical CharacteristicsHeight: 6’2 Eyes: Dark Blue Hair: The darkest brown ( nearing black ) Age: 30 Build: Tall and toned. Fit. Unique Physical Traits: Nathaniel carried a certain presence which would make him noticed by anyone around him, and he’s simply defined for it in personality. It’s hard not to notice this tall figure who seems to capture all first by presence, then by personality. If that didn’t, then perhaps his vicious smile or the wicked glint in his eyes would. Those traits, are striking. Other: His presence demands attention, his attitude cruel. His over all personality... just charming. Rather complex ... but you’ll see what I mean. Personal CharacteristicsLikes: . Wealth . Money . Women . Luxury . Power . Obedience to his word . to tease . to humiliate . Being boastful . Self-promoting . Mansions . Cruises . Control and vengeance . All the expensive things of life . History . Litriture . Art - sculptures/portraiture . Winning . Fair play . To feel superior
Dislikes: . Weakness . Those who ran . The poor . The slums . Constant noise . Children . Disobedience . Illness . Being overpowered . Being on the defense . Defeat . Ignorance . Rejection . Having no say
Hobbies: . Speaking on Red’s behalf to the general public . Reading in the quiet of his study at home, without interference. . Chasing after his prey. . Playing tennis, working out at the gym. Swimming. . Organizing the plans and taking action . Taking to solitary in his second home, a private place, where he can think and plan.
Fears: . Death . Loss of his power . Demotion/Fired . Losing everything . Falling ill or obtaining injury . Risking his life . Defeat . Humiliation . Uncertainty
Flaws: . The ignorance he pays to his family . His pride . Commitments to his wife in particular, in general to his family . If his way is the logical way, he wont follow every order given, he’ll make his own decisions . His silent arrogance/temper/vengefulness . Keeps secrets from his family, is quiet about their existence professionally . His own uncertainty to his past
Family: His parents, Vincent and Julia, are both gone from this world. His father passed six years ago from a serious illness. His mother from the former regime, unknown to Nathaniel, by his uncles hands. Those uncles, Adrian and Nicholas Ladell, both feel victim to the original Resistance. His family now consists of his wife, Ariana, twins Samantha and Devyn ( both three years of age ) and his youngest daughter Rose ( only one year old ).
Best Friend(s): Nathaniel has never really had anyone he would consider a close friend. Never really had anyone he has known long enough to even consider a simple friend. Everyone to him is either an acquaintance or known in a professional sense. He talks to many, wearing that charming exterior he has, but it’s purely professional. If anyone could be considered to know a little about him, other then his family, perhaps it would be his assistant. If anyone, he at least knows all Nathaniel’s plans and professional life. Something of the family Nathaniel leaves behind. Nathaniel is completely reliant on him, even if he doesn’t necessarily acknowledge it.
Relationship(s): His situation with his wife is something he has began to push away. His actions, he doesn’t realize are causing the silent divide forming between them. While he has always had his own unspoken concerns, his time at work and devotion to it has given him barely any time to be with her. He had once had more time but now... it is difficult for him to bear. His wife is equally as pained. She fears he doesn’t care, she fears he has had affairs. She hates his position in society, she hates that he is never around. She hates especially, that he is never their for their kids. Sometimes she feels their roles are just for show, just something for him to come back to. She feels forgotten.
Personality: Nathaniel. There are many sides to him. His public half vibrant, charming and very confident. At home or within his office, he is a quieter man. At that point, it’s rather striking in the difference. To the public a warm expression, within himself a serious concern. You cannot describe Nathaniel to another person simply because you will never know him completely. For the general public, most who ever cross his path, will only see the charmingly over confident man that he portrays himself to be, as he was brought up to do. He is confident, well spoken, proud, tactful, organzine, charming, warm, humorous, teasing, quick and intelligent. He is also calmly ill tempered ( meaning a silent temper ), concerned, ignorant, serious and vengeful. He is also afraid.
Yes, Nathaniel is a very confident character in the publics eye. The person public speaker, the man to share a smile with those that pass him. Full of pride. He does well in his position for Red, as one of her speakers when she can rarely do so herself. He is known to many with the identity of a confident man. In the political buildings of Monde Rouge he will often be seen. He is not needed for every decision but will sometimes be asked for an opinion, and when so he is happily obliged. A connection left by the influence his family had always had over the city and politics or people. He’ll do as he’s told by Red. With others at times he will twist those orders to his benefits. Trusted? Mistrusted? It depends on the person, but he’s smart enough to cover up anything he has changed, and if not ... well, he’s easy to forgive. Red’s rules. The happiness acts. He finds them all very humorous.
In his personal life, he is a much quieter man. It wouldn’t be seen often, so there would never be much to say. He lounges in his studies at home, always thinking about something. He doesn’t pay that much attention to his children and the divide between him and his wife is only growing. His connection with politics, his choice of work, his place in society, his families influence, it’s all that is important to him.
His professional status consumes his entire identity. As well as his life.
History: The Ladell’s. Historically they have always been a family of high influences and wealth. Historically, they are known for a male dominance of the family lines. The Ladell’s. They would always have done anything to stay in power. They always came across very patriotic. Well known to the area with a strong influence on it’s politics, the Ladell’s remained strong. They were are prideful bunch and have always been commemorated for it. A most fortunate thing, that their flaws were misremembered. Covered up. They have always been appreciated and respected in the community but as any family, they have kept their secrets.
Nathaniel was born into this prestigious family, and as he had always considered it, was fortunate to be an only child. With this he was always given the attention he craved and given anything he wanted. He would be the future of the family and continue it’s wealth. Of course Nathaniel had a few cousins, two girls and a boy, but it seemed he was the families pride. Carrying their peculiar traits and characteristics was one thing, equaling his cousin Isabella as the eldest of the new generation was another. What put him above her in his families vision, was simply that he was male. Tall, dark haired, confident and questioning, it was always remarked he was just like any other fine male of the family. The only thing setting him apart was his mothers dark eyes. It was true, that as a boy he never feared to ask a question, ask for more and seem so prideful. He was always intelligent ( educated so highly as all in his family line ) and proving to be another political, historical or definitely talented character in the families history. A perfect citizen in the making. In the perfect position for strength and status. The young Nathaniel would walk through the halls of the families dark mansion, looking to be just what the family had built him to be. At that age though, moving from childhood to teens, he had communicated so much with any others but his family and tutors. He had been cut off from the world. It had never truly been a problem, of course he loved to speak with others of the community as he got older. He was delighted by the respect shown, the intellectual conversations he could hold with another. The only marks left by the cage that was his home, is that he never really be friends with another. he just didn’t understand how. He was a perfect communicator, and yet... He had been kept away.
As he grew older though, definite but subtile differences began to emerge. Oddly unnoticed by his father and uncles who’s focus was on the families wealth. He was not so occupied with strength, not so much occupied with male dominance. His mother was the only one to really notice this... and to understand. It was a changing a point of his life when the former regime took power. In his secluded world it never truly effected him, the concentration was on wealth, on education, on keeping the families honor. An honor perhaps not deserved, a family perhaps tarnished. Those secrets though were kept from him. His uncles were obsessed with the new regime, were very much the funds and resources behind it’s power ( though kept silent ). His own father was a better man, but made the biggest mistake by never attempting to stop them. in their world it wasn’t such a big deal, everyone seemed to love one another. Secrets... The family would be teared apart. Nathaniel would never know what truly happened, he had been that oblivious. One failure of his past. It’s hard to understand how no connections were made between his half of the family and the other, but their were differences. All he knew was that one day his mother had disappeared and would never be heard from again. Two months later, his uncles would die. A month later, the regime would fall. All this time, he’d just followed the rules. Done what he was told, and held up the families honor. Wealth, that was all that mattered. His side of the family had kept strong. His side was with luck. Their influential whispers and better history a basis, the families former respect holding them their place in society. The family, their secrets would never be revealed to the the community. They would forget themselves. The Ladell’s have retained their place of influence. Nathaniel has made a family of his own. While he holds the traits of the male lines in strength, power and wealth, he at least will always be more like his mother. kinder, warmer and perhaps always with a sense of insecurity kept to himself. He will always be a little venerable .... which will never show, but certainly lead his actions towards a better good. They always remarked about his eyes but there was more of his mother in him then they’d ever know.
What Nathaniel felt towards the former regime was never anything kind or welcoming. It’s a fortunate thing he hadn’t known the of the roles his uncle’s would play, and still today that he doesn’t know they had murdered his mother. At the time Nathaniel had still been young, but not ignorant to the outsider world. He was old enough to understand. The closest thing to contact between him and his uncles at that time had been fleeting visits during the first months, this counting as the closest contact with the regime itself as well. His father barely let mention of the situation enter the house and if so it had been quiet words between him and his wife. Not a growing son. Nathaniel had been close to his mother, they at least had had small words about the changes going on. On losing his mother though, Nathaniel had been at a loss. He knew it had some connection to the regime, who couldn’t have, but why his mother. Their home had seemed so safe a place. The loss of his two cousins too. It had seemed so cruel. How could these acts be carried out so close to home? His father had never told him of his uncles roles. His father alone had cut all connections to those men when they had taken his wife from his hands. Their reasoning, “why, she was just in the family for the wealth. Does she really love you?” They had never been witnesses to love or family. They didn’t care. Nathaniel’s views to this situation had always been in the concerns of his mother. With her being so important a person in his life as a women it allowed him to feel for any other who was harmed in the regime. He would never let a hand strike a women before him, he would never see a women harmed. His mother again, is the reason he is a better man. This is why he looks down at the former regime with such cold-hearted thoughts and feelings.
The Resistance. What can any member of Red’s people think towards them? A pain. Troublesome and an unneeded annoyance in this perfect city. The Resistance was not only a hindrance herself, when they were tracking down any connection to the leader by targeting he supporters. Nathaniel like any other was alert though, incase he was ever attacked. In day to day life though, he barely gave the Resistance any thought when it wasn’t needed. He didn't see why his life should be at risk. If he looked at it from his own point of view, not as Red’s support, he thought of the members as quiet brave. Brave and idiotic. Red’s regime to him was quiet humorous, there were defiantly many things to smile about. So they were fighting against this happiness, how strange. Brave but idiotic when you think about the power Red has with a single word. They’d crumble. That’s all Nathaniel could see in their future.
Nathaniel crossed paths with Arista Totallor on the fortune of a whim. After university he had spent some years away from the eyes of the public, preferring to linger in the solitude of his own house. For him it was just a time to collect his thoughts and think about the past. Pondering on what path he would take. He hadn’t been sure but with the call from a women in need he had come to meet her. After the former regimes fall there had been the shortest period of silence and unease. No one had known what was happening, what the famous “Resistance” had planned. So when he had come to meet her, he hadn’t known this women would be the cities future. A growing leader. She had proposed to him a position of advise or perhaps a role of communicating to the public for her. While now he leans towards the later, at times he takes chance with the former. He had agreed, needing a change and hoping for chance leading to a career. How she had come across him was via his family. The simple link that they had constantly with the cities people still held it’s reputation. The families intellectual influences remembered easily. If there were any darker shades in there history, they were unspoken off. Red had offered him a future due to his families past. Influence has always been his luck. His character is built on it. It’s that hidden charm. Everything ElseName/Nickname: Angelina Account Custom Title: A Poisonous Charm Roleplay Experience: This would be my first RP, just my second character in this How Did You Find Us: From Puss in Boots Other Characters: Evelyn Loire//Sleeping beauty Other: Two characters, how scary!
Example Roleplay Post: Red and gold. Not the simple shades of dusk before the sun fell beneath the horizon. In this city, to a particular few, you could say the colours of red and gold symbolized other things. Blood and money. Two things often seen in Red’s Headquarters. Those things had been at first at the back of his mind as he sat in the restaurant on the bottom floor of the politics building. Nathaniel had simply been sitting on the lounges on the far side watching the sun go down. He was waiting for his assistant to come back with some drinks after this one tiring day. Beyond the walls that consisted of only glass in this section, the sky was turning a shade of blood red and the trees against it silhouetted into darkness. As he was waiting he caught words from other conversations being held within the restaurant. Other workers spoke with one another before heading back to their officers or to leave for home. Most conversations were what you would expect, personal or professional. Nathaniel though was drawn to one when two men walked into the area. He didn’t recognize them by their face. They certainly were not public speakers or any of Red’s closest influences. Nor cleaners, chefs or grounds workers. Not the infamous Police Rouge either. They were forced to sit nearby him with the number of people in here tonight. Their words were quiet but Nathaniel realized who they were when a few simple words drifted into his hearing. “Collapsed. Blood. Displeased. Not of the Resistance.” Tortures. You’d think they’d be quiet about there work. Not here. In these buildings all knew about Red’s punishments. All knew about the fight against the Resistance. These influential minds, many of which came into contact with Red daily, were affected by the Resistance. Any of them would love to see these criminals ( as what they considered them as ) to have their heads on the chopping blocks. More literally then many believed. As long as that kept them alive and with the high pay they received, these people didn’t give a damn to what happened to those common folk fighting for their their happiness. As Nathaniel saw it, what was there not to be happy about? Then again he was in this position.... and loving it.

I know I haven't finished this yet but I have to comment anyway. I didn't mean for his history to be that huge ... and yet it's what defines him, even if it's all rather... twisted shall we say? To put it in short, he has certain values the family holds ( such as wealth ) but is certainly a better person. How he didn't exactly know about his uncles is a very good question ... but maybe he will find that out himself one day.

PENDING.You need to remember your apostrophes. Aside from that, I'd just like you to put some stuff about Nat's opinions on the first regieme, the Resistance, and Red along with how he found his way into Red's confidence. (If you want to PM Roxy and ask her about Red so your stories match, that would probably be good.) Oh, this stuff should be added to your history (which is otherwise pretty good.)

I've added the things you requested, I hope they're all right.
I will say it myself, I feel the part with Arista is lacking but I just find it a bit difficult to explain that connection ( but I did have some words with Red and that was a suggestion ). I'm sorry about that, it's just difficult. If need be, I will rewrite it again.
Otherwise then that, I hope it's what you wanted.

Naw, it is all good. The last bit is lacking grammar wise, but the rest of the application is fine so we'll blame that on the lack of sleep. ACCEPTED.Don't forget the plot board sign up. I think you know where it is.
