Mars

-Mars has an extremely thin atmosphere. It's got about .2% oxygen, too. So, if you venture out of the dome, your character needs to have a space suit on.

-Mars is plagued with sandstorms, and the red dust, equivalent to earth's regular dust, gets -everywhere-. Inside the colony, inside the homes, doorways, motors, even your underwear. When there's a storm, your character should wear a mask or something. Of course, this is all up to artistic license, so where one character has a storm in their topic, you do not have to have one in yours, and visa-versa.

-Mars' gravity is one third that of Earth; this means a 100 pound human will weigh 33.3 pounds. Keeping this in mind, the longer you're on mars without keeping your muscles in shape (this obviously excludes simple walking and running), your character's muscles will slowly weaken, and adapt to being 1/3 what it used to. If your character was BORN on mars (meaning they are 16 or younger), then they will be 100% born adapted to this weight, and earth's gravity will permanently disable them. Also, they will grow very tall (about 7 or 8, sometimes up to 11 feet) and be lanky, as well as very light (about 40 pounds). If these characters do NOT work out on a regular basis, going anywhere NEAR earth will be excruciating.

-A mear, or a mars year, is 687 days long; and so, being a bit under twice Earth's year, the calendar days also one hour longer than earths. So, while the dome mimics "night time", the year is alot longer, so keep that in mind.

-The outside (out of the colony dome) can be down to -140 celcius in it's winter, and up to 30 degrees celcius in it's summer. The seasons are twice as long as earth's, as the year is almost twice itelf. We don't recommend going out without a space suit.

-The sun looks like a tiny speck compared to the sun's appearance on earth, being roughly half the size by human eye. If the sun, to earth, were the size of a thumbnail, if would be roughly the size of a pinky nail on Mars.

Battlesuits

-Issued as modern tanks for the solders and renegades to use as assault vehicles, the battlesuits are rather like gundams in the respect that they're mobile robotic weapons. The only difference is, that they don't change their form, and they're AI, meaning they can talk, think, and act for themselves as if they were human. They do not however have emotion.

-Battlesuits can be as small as a car, or as large as perhaps a mid-sized building. 90% of them DO NOT FLY, but the only exception is Locust, my character's battlesuit. Why? Because I can. tongue.gif Now, that being said, there ARE Battlesuits with capabilites to hover or travel at a certain height off the ground - I won't say no to that.

-Battlesuits run on either air through generators that run the engine (meaning they overhead quickly and use heat expulsion to move() or, good old gas - meaning you run up a verrry high oxygen tax, and you can't use it in space, nor fly it too long and burn up the air.

-Battlesuits range in appearance as animals do in the wild; they can look like anything you can think of. There's no restrictions!
