Night at the Museum

[Matthew Park]

Subtly was lacking at the moment. All he could think about was getting the radioactive isotope that called Kryptonite. With out it, Matt's cells had begun to rapidly deteriorate, something that seemed to be speeding up to a weekly progression. And the first thing to go, was any semblance of the word coherent thought. The next thing to go was the large, iron gate baring people from entering after hours. It went with a loud bang down the street.

Then the nice, showy glass doors, they went to. Yanked off their hinges with as much effort as a flick of the wrist, Matt marveled at how easy this was going to be. The items inside were as good as his. He raced through the exhibits, searching for what he could smell. His body stopped and he looked at a green rock behind the glass. A piece of meteor that fell to earth that had a chunk of the element wedged into it. It was so close, all he had to do was…

… a sound at a low frequency. Like a rapid footstep or some other movement, coming towards the would-be robber. All he had to do was take care of this person, then get the rock.

[Wonder Woman]

Diana landed in front of the museum and noticed the doors had ben ripped from the frames and cast aside like unwanted toys. She cautiously made her way through the front entrance and deeper into building. She came to a halt when she reached the space exhibit. There was a strange young man standing in front of a large piece of kryptonite. When he turned around, she could swear he looked familiar to her.

In a rather pleasant voice she said, "I think the museum is closed. Can I help you?"

[Matthew Park]

Matt turned around to see the Amazon. He looked her up and down, and smiled as the full force of what was happening hit him. Matt was sure that this Super-hero dealt with a lot of bad-guys in her day, but never teenage guys.

The Museum is closed. Can I help you?"

"Not wearing that skimpy thing, you can't." The boy remarked, eyeing her costume, "So why don't you go home, change into something less appealing to the hormones, and I'll show myself out."

He turned around and walked back to the meteor display. He knew full well that she would be mad to hear that, but let her try to bring down the Kryptonian Clone. It would be too much fun.

[Wonder Woman]

"Right, is this before or after the guided tour?" She said rather sarcastically. Aren't they teaching any morals to kids these days. she thought.
"Do you really think your going to walk out of here with that big hunk of rock?" She said to the rather brash teenager.

[Matthew Park]

"Don't be silly. Tour guides don't work after hours." Matt said as he walked closer to the display. He couldn't feel it. The rock was being blocked. Of course, it was radioactive, so it was most likely protecting the guests. Matt balled his hands into a fist and punched at the glass, which shattered. The kryptonite glowed a bright gree and he clone pulled it out of the rest of the space rock.

"See, nothing to stop me." He said as he felt his strength coming back to him.

[Wonder Woman]

"Look, i don't know who you are or why your here, but you have to leave." She knew what kryptonite could do to Superman and Supergirl. A would be criminal wandering the streets with a small piece could be dangerous for those two.

Diana walked in closer to see what this kid was doing. There was some strange glow emanating from the rock and it was having an strange affect on hi. She stepped between him and the big rock, picked it up and threw it across the room, putting enough room between it and him.

[Matthew Park]

The Kryptonite fell several feet away, clattering on the museum's tiled floor."Not wise." Matt informed the woman. He looked up to see a large Earth model hanging above them. Matt looked back at Wonder Woman and smiled.

He pushed off the ground and rocketed up towards the sphere. Almost colliding with it, the Kryptonian clone made a sharp turn and flew around it with only inches seperating him from the mock planet. He came to one of the first support wires holding the globe in place, and exhaled a jet of flame which burnt through the rope. He repeated the process for all the other wires and then grabbed the ball. Using his momentum, he spun it around and tossed the Earth towards Wonder Woman.

With her distracted, he zoomed towards the meteor.

[Wonder Woman]

Wonder Woman flew up into the air at the last moment, dodging the giant model earth at the last moment. It hit the ground and rolled towards the doorway. She look up to see that he was flying towards the green rock. He just doesn't give up does he!? She flew after him.





(OOC: sorry so short, I didn't want to leave you waiting and I have some crap to do at home!)

Matt landed in front of the meteor rock and picked it up as the globe crashed to earth. Surely, she didn't have time to react. He turned around to see the crater that the giant display made, only to be surprised by Wonder Woman flying towards him. He smiled.

"I always thought I would need to beat the girls away with a stick." He said as his eyes began to glow light blue. Mist or condensing water steamed away from the clone's eyes as he looked directly at the Amazon. "Chill!" He yelled as a jet of blue freeze vision shot towards her.

[Wonder Woman]

"What the....." She said as the blue streams of ice shot at her. Wonder Woman tried to jump out of the way but at the last minute, one tagged her in the side. She felt herself slowdown as the coldness spread through out her body. She fell to the floor, "So.. cold.." She said as she lay there.

[Matthew Park]

Matt was rather stunned that he could beat the amazon like that. He was expecting to break the museum into tiny peices before either was the victor. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. He grabbed the Kryptonite and pushed of the ground towards the buildings ceiling. Half-way up, he turned and looked back. It was to hard to resist. "I don't know which is worse: that I beat you, or that I can't brag about beating you. I mean, 'big man, you beat up a girl. How lame are you'" He teased, adding a dumb jock quality to his voice at the last part.

[Wonder Woman]

Diana snapped out of whatever strange stupor she was in. His tone of voice sent a wave of anger through her. It boiled deep down into her core, and heated her up from the inside out. "You think I'm just gonna let you off like that huh? I don't think so." She took her lasso from her hip and built a loop. She swung it over her head one time...two times...three times, and she took aim throwing it towards him, hoping to catch him. "Not to be off subject, but what is your name? I'd like to know who I'm fighting."

[Matthew Park]

The lasso landed around the boy, binding his arms. "Name's Matt." The boy said in a mellow tone, as if they had just met in a bar and Wonder Woman offered to by drinks. All malice and anger was gone from his voice. "And it's okay if your off topic. Hell, I'm the king of being off topic. Did you know that the stretching room in the Haunted Mansion at Disney Land was put in to usher tourists under the train tracks behind the house and into a warehouse where the ride was actually located? And that it doesn't need to exist in any other park because the space problems where anticipated?" He recited, in a childish tone.

He began to struggle against the rope, tugging it in every way. Finally, with a burst of speed, he rocketed towards the ground. "I'm hoping that this here rope's tension will slacken, so that, when I pull out of the dive bomb, you won't and will be slammed into those ugly tiles down there. Is that alright with you?

[Wonder Woman]

Diana was distracted by his remark about Disney Land she didn't notice the floor zooming in close till the last minute. She pulled tight on the rope and said, "Stop." Just inches from slamming into the granite tile of the floor. For not only did it make whoever was entwined in it speak the truth, they also had to obey any command given by who ever was at the other end of the rope.

"Land." She then said.

[Matthew Park]

Matt stopped only inches from the floor and hung there in a sort of daze. At the Amazons comand, he turned straight up and landed on his feet, his eyes droping over in almost as if he was asleep. He figited a little, trying to breat the rope, but it was no good. The magic was just to strong.

He also knew he was vunerable. He told his name, it was finally sinking in. He never did that. His one vunerability other then Kryptonite was being exported to well. He hunched over, not talking, not joking, not doing anything except stand there. He dropped the Kryptonite rock, and looked back at Wonder Woman in a pathetic stare. "Don't worry, it's only an act. I just didn't want you to suspect this." He inhaled loudly and held it for a few minutes. With a roar sounding much like a jet engine, a large streak of flame issued from his mouth towards Wonder Woman.
