Flipnote Studio

I've not been too big on the DSiware it has to be said, so far the selection has been poor and I was begining to regret purchasing my DSi. Until today that is

Flipnote studio is fantastic, it's been getting ALOT of hype, especially for a free DSi game that we were supposed to get months back, however I can see why.
Its not a gamer per se, its an animation tool.

Have you ever made a powerpoint animation?
Slide by slide then putting them all together at the end, it works like that. You have a variety of rushes, the ability to add sound, change the speed, copy and paste slides (a life saver imo), trace over past ones. It took me a while to work around it, but once you know what your doing there is endless amoutns of fun to be had here.
Thats only the start of it though, the real thing that makes this a must have is the community surrounding it. There are tons of animations, some absoloutely fantastic and you can upload your onw (although Ic ant cause my internet sucks)

Only downside is the lack of colours, but its free, I'd happily pay for an app of this quality, so a few limitations are no problem

So it's...like Paint+unFREEz? Or any other GIF animating software out there ?

Eh, I don't have a DSi. IMO by buying it you're giving a big thumbs up to region-locking and erosion of consumer rights, even if you do get free stuff ...

It does what I want it to do and I'm all for region locking
NoE must lose out on a lot of money for imports.

Its the same as you pirating giving a big thumbs up to ruining the industry. But lets not go into that debate, already got a topi for that

The profits NoE makes are of no consequence. It all filters back to NoJ. Region locking has proved time and time again to be anti-consumer. Nintendo are going BACKWARDS with a region-locked DSi. The only advantages are corporate, not consumer...

I didn't try anything special as I was just messing about seeing how it works
There is some absolutely amazing stuff on there, and I haven't got the ideas for it so if you have any ideas lemme know XD
