Ha, Sqeak, I was just about to post that. It certainly looks interesting. Looks like its set to be of the same style as TP.

What would be very interesting is if they had the actual gameplay with that painted look. Although that would just over-complicate it or make it look confusing.

ONMs description of that was terrible XD
First they said it looked like Zelda, then they said it looked like a Zora. It looks like neither o.0

I was kinda hoping for a cel shaded wii one, in the style of brawl toon link. But I suppose TP was lacking in some areas so it'll be good to have a proper realistic Zelda.
Link certainly looks a lot older than he normally does, he may even be a man rather than a kid for once tongue.gif

EDIT: Just read the ONM comments, they seems to think that the different thing in this game is the fact that link isn't holding his sword. I think they may be looking into it TOO much.
But then someone said that the girl looks like a physical manifestation of the master sword, which I suppose is sort of true.

So yeah, as Amir said the most common assumption is that the girl is a personified Master Sword. The pointy head, crystal on her chest, cloak like the handle all hint towards it, but the one that made it fairly certain for me was that her legs have the same pattern as the master swords handle.

People are also speculating that the silver logo means it won't be set in Hyrule, or that it will be more like Majoras Mask seeing as Majoras Mask is the only one not to have a red logo. Again the silver logo in the picture adds to the whole sword being a vital gameplay part idea.

Link being older also may have some significance, Miyamoto says it is in a different Era to TP, whether he just means Link is the same one but older or Link is a completely new one is still unknown.

Then there are the other ideas that I'm not too keen on, the fact that the shield is blue apparently makes it set in Hyrule, I say rubbish to that one!
The flames coming out of a cavern has some significance and others claim to see heads of characters in there, again rubbish thats just to make the art stand out. Also someone said some rubbish about the cavern that I can't remember.

Does anyone have the first artwork for Twilight Princess?
Maybe we could get info from that?

I also still think that it could be cel shaded wink.gif tongue.gif
He said they are still trying things out, this might just be a Red Herring.

Get a picture of the master sword up, then flip the artwork upside down; that woman definitely has something to do with the master sword. And the fact Link supposedly doesn't have a sword in this game must have something to do with it. Can't be coincidence.

Maybe its about the makers of the master sword or something.

This was the first Twilight Princess artwork, but that came with the Trailer. All that was showing was the new look in comparison to the wind waker.

The lack of a trailer, and the extra detail in the artwork this time round must mean they want us to look into it more. They would definitely show artwork with substance to arouse interest. They wouldn't show us something simple, it would just be pointless.

I think that girl might be the actual master sword, like she transformed into it to help Link defeat evil or something

It could be set well before any of the Zeldas and have the origin of the master sword as its story.

Thats what i said Dr Awesome Dingleshit, stop theory-stealing tongue.gif I thought the shape of her legs is similar to the bend of the blade near the hilt as well...

I don't think we can use that as a comparison, Cieran, it was shown very late into the Twilight Princess proceedings...We knew about everything apart from Midna's true form by then.

Except it does confirm the same style of game, of course. No cel shading for you Dinglejunk.

I can be hopefull tongue.gif

Well the comparison with TP artwork idea sucked, that was pretty self explanatory.
But maybe that also means that this is as well, I can see the whole master sword thing making sense but it is just artwork and I don;t think that looking at it in a lot of depth will do anything but create rumours tongue.gif

But its a representation of the content of the game. In the same way that a trailer would be, even just a cutscene style trailer like Metroid: Other M.

There's too many logical connections to the girl in the artwork and the master sword for it to be written off as coincidence. Plus Miyamoto said there would be a difference about the sword in the game. It makes too much sense Dinglegina!

They released this art for a reason imo, to make us speculate... and Miyamoto said the absense of the sword was important, big hint tongue.gif

Why on earth would you carry her like that? XD I doubt shell be used without a transformation, like that

*spreads rumors* n_n.gif

I think Navi's spirit attatched itself to the Master Sword after she flew too close to the sun and imploded.

If it's following on from Twilight Princess then she's most likely a twili. If it is a follow on midna is definitely coming back since she's like the alternate to zelda and was loved too much...and and most likely she is the master sword, me and matt have been debating this for a while and have concluded that she is definitely the sword since shig's said before he wanted to touch on an element in zelda that hasn't been changed for a while now. The master sword is horribly generic to the zelda series now that shigs would want a fresh story.

Oh yeah hey again =P
