Here's 20 different artists whom I believe have not submitted to the "Britney Spears" persona or act. They're pretty good, and some are big names, but they haven't sold out or done something stupid. One has a big fan base in the South, and is in the process of building that fanbase. Very popular on my campus...

1. Reba McEntire
2. LeAnn Rimes
3. Goo Goo Dolls
4. Elton John
5. Rascal Flatts
6. Bon Jovi
7. Savage Garden
8. Sarah McLachlan
9. Tim McGraw
10. John Williamson

11. Mark Harris
12. Mark Shultz
13. Twila Paris
14. Casting Crowns
15. Counting Crows
16. Baha Men

17. Kellie Coffey
18. Matt Sabato
19. Vienna Teng

20. Chicago
21. Carole King

Well, I'm really getting into the country scene, so I like LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts and Tim McGraw. I think I've heard one or two of Reba McEntire's songs. They were really good.

I LUV Bon Jovi and Elton John (even tho he's gay). Goo Goo Dolls are all right, but the radio stations only play like one or two of their songs and I've gotten sick of them. I've heard some of Sarah McLachlan's stuff and I liked it.

Mark Harris, Mark Shultz, Twila Paris and Casting Crowns are also good. Haven't heard of the other ones.

But Chicago ROX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LUV their music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One, Matt Sabato, I KNOW no one here will recognize, as he's from the Chicago area, I went to school with him. That was nothing more than a shameless plug to promote my best friend.

Anyways, Vienna Teng is from San Fransisco, and has been coming by my college for three years, and I've met her, but she's Classical Pop, similar to the AWESOME Josh Groban... "Chamber Folk" as she calls it...

John Williamson performed at Steve Irwin's Memorial Service, and Daniel McGahan also. Both are from Australia. "True Blue" and "Home Among the Gum Trees" are now in my top two favs...

The rest of them, while good, Evanescence isn't worth promoting, and Country is country. Reba and LeAnn I like, but only SOMEtimes. same with Mark Harris, it kind of takes a certain mood to like certain music.
