Possibly the most epic win since Zelda. The setting, character(s), enemies, and even interface is masterfully orchestrated, almost to the point where it's like watching a movie rather than playing it.

I give it... a 9.5/10.

Shadow of the Colossus is a great game. One of my favorites actually.

The game was amazing. The graphics, the gameplay, it was all breathtaking. One of my favourite games of all time. All that I can subtract from it is that it has little replayability. I'm halfway done with my second trek, but I can't seem to get back into it.

The end of the game was odd as well. I actually made it to the girl before being sucked up into the vortex. I had to let myself get sucked up.

I played it, but it seemed a bit empty; at the start of the game I really had no idea what to do, where to go, or do anything. However, the environment and your surroundings were fantastic; unsurpassed artistic creativity, they've got.

It does take a while to figure out what in the world you're supposed to do. There's not much instruction. Also, it's supposed to feel somewhat empty. There really aren't any creatures apart from small things like bugs and lizards, and of course, the Colossi.

You should have read the packet included with the game. It explains all you need to know.

Unless, of course, you were renting.

Bah, instructions. I probably read them (they came with the rental.)

The emptiness is one of he crucial parts of the game. Also, Dormin practically tells you everything you need to know right off the bat, unless you skip every cutscene the first time you played it (in which case you're a retard).

But yeah, the emptiness really makes the game so amazing.

P.S. I've managed to access the alternate ending that you get to by eating the 'forbidden fruit' you can get atop the cathedral. happy.gif

There's an alternate ending? I don't actually own the game, so I wouldn't know.

Yeah, but if anything it's more morbid than the original, if that's possible... O_o

SPOILER:

Basically, Wander gets really weakened because the fruit on top of the cathedral actually drains your health. During the scene where he is shot in the leg with the crossbow, he actually dies. I don't want to ruin too much, but let's just say that it changes the following circumstances dramatically.

I looked it up. I found a few places that say the alternate ending is false. Interesting...

Yeah, well, it's not. Unless you can find an official Nintendo statement (which you won't, trust me, it's true), don't believe it.

Not everything on the internets is true, you know.

I know. I just thought it was interesting.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I don't think Nintendo was the publisher of the game. I played it on PS2, for one thing.

In fact, I'm pretty sure Sony was the publisher and PS2 is the only platform it plays on. Or so says Wikipedia.
