Well it has been some time since my i have started playing it and let me tell you if there is one thing this game is it is Different. Let's start off with the basics. In mulitiplayer( since the main campaign is not out yet) you have but one single structuture for your base and two turrets. I f you want to build more than 2 turrets you have to take one of the builder commanders and build them. This is bad because you may only have 1(!) commander and on top of that it takes away from the number of troops that you can field! On top of that the game revolves around short range troop fire fights with only small untis of troops! This basicly is a gaurd death trap as it takes away one of our best advanteges, our numbers. But worry not as there is good things about the game! To get the most obvious out of the way first it is butifull. My God is it butifull. With a decent computer you are looking at the most lush and full enviroments in RTS history destroable terrain with bigger untis will insure that you take out all those pesky heavy weapons teams before they get you. Another selling point is the fact that each race plays very differrent than all the others. Although there are next to no armor except for transport and last tier untis thus makeing the total nuber of tank like units 2! for each faction. All in all this is a great Space marine game! And eldar/orkz/nids game. I just have too much hope for a decent gaurd army in it. CC welcome!

Post Patch!! Mix up.

Well the Nid kids have had their wicked way with this game.
THey are a powerfull buch who at tier one have the most powerfull unit in the game. The warriors........ My god what the hell? Could they be made anymore powerfull? The fact that they are extreamly customisable doesn't help anything. But other than that they have stayed as powerfull as they were before.

The space mariens didn't have that much of a mix up except for two things. One because the requsition accumulation has grown since last version getting out your squads is easier the ever. O f course this leads to MASSIVE spaming late in the game of preds and dreads. On the other hand the Apothacary got nerfed. But seriously he needed it so bad. He could chain rez HIMSELF once he got to third tier and was bascicly impossible to keep down after that.

The Orks have not changed to much except for the above mentioned ability to get more out there quicker.

Which Brings us to the Eldar. My GOD the poor Eldar. They got hit hard and i mean HARD. Thier main assalts units loose to basic mariens and can't even do much damage to stationary enemy Heavy squads. They die every other fire fight and the Gaurdians are the only real unit worth taking. Them and the turrets they build are all the have. The wraithlord has lost a good portion of hiss CC and can't go toe to toe with a dread anymore.

So if your thinking of getting this game do it. It's still a fun game. Well as long as you don't play eldar. If so just wait for the next patch...
