immortal_Z - November 17, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
The title says it all.

I'm reading A Hat Full of Sky by Terry Pratchet (at least I think tahts the author)

monika_is_here - November 18, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
I'm reading Book of Shadows, from the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. I've read the whole series already, but oh well. o.o They're good books.

immortal_Z - November 18, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
hmm... whats the general plotline? anything about shadows is good to me!

monika_is_here - November 18, 2006 04:36 AM (GMT)
Well, it's about witchcraft, but there's dark magic in there too, so that might interest you.

Emika - November 18, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
WICCA BOOKS!!!!!!! i've read all of those as well! *does dance* well...wicca-BASED books anyways. :D

Emika is currently reading Daughter of Destiny series, the Historian, 100 ways to improve your riding (a horse book of course), and trying to get my hands on 101 jumping exercises for horse and rider.

immortal_Z - November 18, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
*adds a book to his list*

Wintersmith by Terry Prachett (the list of books my library has gotten me steadily grows, this series has a WHOLE lot o' books, so I may get another bookshelf by the end of this!)

monika_is_here - November 18, 2006 08:20 PM (GMT)
Fun, I like reading. What's the series about?

immortal_Z - November 18, 2006 09:55 PM (GMT)
Magic, of course

...

...

why are you all staring at me? a 17 year old person can read books about magic!

Emika - November 18, 2006 10:10 PM (GMT)
lol. *pats on the head* its okay, love. I'm near that age and I read a ton of books about magic. *clings to harry potter series*
*shifty eyes*

i even have the "fantastic beats and where to find them" book...even though its only like...100 pages. :ph43r:

immortal_Z - November 19, 2006 01:26 AM (GMT)

Of course it's okay. o.o
I like magic books, too, even though I'm a lot younger than you two. o.o

monika_is_here - November 22, 2006 10:35 PM (GMT)
I'm still on Book Of Shadows, I finished The Coven for the fourth time since I bought it (Yes, I'm obsessed, shush), and I'm reading Blood Witch again.
This series is seriously my favorite.

monika_is_here - November 23, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
I'm a fast reader.
o.o
I'm done with Blood Witch, now I'm reading up on herbs. I'm gonna start my garden soon.

immortal_Z - November 24, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
0_o

how many pages are these books?

Emika - November 24, 2006 04:09 AM (GMT)
Like..200 to 500 I think because the last one is pretty thick. I am trying to get my hands on all of the Blair Witch File books, even thgou hI can ifnish about 4 in one day because they're only like...200 to 300 pages long and fairly easy to read. But I do tend to get a bit hyped up on that kinda stuff so yeah. Can't help it. And then, the stupid library had 101 Jumping Exercises for Horse and Rider (which I could use realllly bad right now because my horse got fat when I couldn't ride her for a while because of school and driver's ed) and some stupid, moronic, idiotic, dumbhead, birdbrain, boneheaded, dlkfhsdkljhfsdkhfskdhf-ed PERSON! Lost. it. *eye MAJORRLLLLY twitches* it made me SO mad because its nowhere else to be found except online. *nods* sigh...

monika_is_here - November 24, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
Mine are like. 180. around there. The last one has like. Over 300 or something. And then the herb book isn't very long.

ryan.riverside - November 24, 2006 09:10 PM (GMT)
I am not reading anything, but I was thinking of commencing reading of Anthem, by Ayn Rand.

immortal_Z - November 25, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
cool.

most of the stuff I read is over 275, usually 300+.

I like my long, fantasy books. GO DRAGONLANCE! *runs around in a toga like hes in college*

*stabs ryan*

monika_is_here - November 26, 2006 04:03 AM (GMT)
Jeez, am I getting through these books fast or what?

I finished the herb book, started Dark Magick yesterday and finished it today, and I'm already in the middle of Awakening.

I love reading. ^^ -hugs books-

Emika - November 26, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
*eye twitches* Manga. lots and lots of manga. *nods*

Kare Kano

Inuyasha (even though I've seen every single episode, trying to get my hands on every single manga...)

Fruits Basket (yes, I have already read all of them and this is my third time going through the series)

.Hack

Chobits

and Princess Ai.

Theres a ton at the bookstore, so I just go there and block the aisleway by sitting in it and reading. *nods again*

ryan.riverside - November 26, 2006 06:25 PM (GMT)
.Hack!!! Yay! :ph43r:

hikaru_dream - November 26, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
MANGA YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
It isn't recently but Ribon (November)!
It's like Jump, only shojo manga ;)

And just to make it clear, it's not like I'm obsessed with shojo, it's just what my friend's buying. Not that I don't like it.

immortal_Z - November 29, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
*looks at ryan's MSN name* is THAT why you changed it to .hack//?

you people are lucky, the nearest book store is like... an hour and a half away me thinks? if it was iun my town, I would just sit there all day and READ. GO DUNE SERIES!

oh, also started reading the Wee Free Men by the same author as the rest of my recent books. toi much stuff to do latly, so haven't finished any of them yet. meh.

monika_is_here - November 30, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
Done with Awakening, and now I'm on Spellbound. This is like, my third favorite book in the series. First is Night Child, and second is The Calling.

Also the seventh Harry Potter book, and lots of Manga! ;)

monika_is_here - December 12, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
Now I'm on The Calling. Oh yeah. Woohoo. She meets her real father and half-brother in this one. I'm also reading a couple of books by Scott Cunningham and Silver Ravenwolf.

Who are "they?"

hikaru_dream - January 7, 2007 12:18 PM (GMT)
Ah. My mom's friend (?) who still lives in America. He used to live with us.

ryan.riverside - January 7, 2007 04:40 PM (GMT)
So that would mean you are borrowing the books.

hikaru_dream - January 8, 2007 11:09 AM (GMT)
No, he buys them for me.
I guess you could say he's a sorta dadish person.

ryan.riverside - January 8, 2007 10:28 PM (GMT)
Ah, that works. At least you get to keep them!

immortal_Z - January 14, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
The Cobra King of Kathmandu! I read it!

The first one is just the childern of the lamp maybe?

I just know the second one is the Blue Djinn of Babalon (or however you spell it... I think there's supposed to be a Y in there somewhere...)

hikaru_dream - January 15, 2007 08:14 AM (GMT)
