The thing that everyone hates, but can't live without... the rules. Read up, please. Remember, we have a warn system here at The Books of Fire, so you will be punished if you break these rules.


1.) No spamming.
Spamming means posting something that's either complete nonsense or totally irrelevant to the discussion. Making a thread that is pointless also counts as spam here.

2.) Do not flame and/or flamebait.
Here at The Books of Fire, we take flaming very seriously and we will not tolerate it. So behave and treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.

3.) Don't be a suck-up.
Seriously, being a suck-up is very annoying and it could cause flamebaiting from other members. So don't do it, okay?

4.) Please keep these forums teen-friendly. [INSTABAN]
That means do not post porn, hentai, you know what I mean. At the most your posts should be kept PG-13. Although, if you do make an R-rated thread, please put a warning in the thread or on the title.

5.) No advertising.
Please do not advertise anything outside of the Advertising forum. It's stupid and off-topic.

6.) No plagiarism. [INSTABAN]
Plagiarism means to steal someone else's work, words, etc. without proper credit.

7.) Don't stretch the page.
Stretching the page is annoying and gives you that horizontal scrollbar. Please do not do that. In addition to the warn, your post/thread will also be deleted.

8.) Don't be annoying.
Self-explanatory, really.

9.) At least try to use proper grammar.
Your grammar and spelling do not have to be perfect, but please make sure that it is decent.


If any of these rules are broken, you will suffer the consequences. Keep in mind that because we can see your IP Address, it is a bad idea to make multiple accounts, especially if you are trying to avoid a ban. The staff of The Books of Fire reserve the right to warn and/or ban a member should they see fit.
