September 1.

Today was a total mess. I couldn't find Mary anywhere to be found. I think I might know where, but I don't think I should write it. I had to stay in a compartment with James and some of the marauders, Peter wasn't there, the entire time on the train. Well, we had to change and he had to leave then but not including those few moments of peace I had the most terrible headache. I'm quite suprised I'm still alive after that encounter, though he didn't act as immature prick as he had the year before. I still shiver at the memory...

James had said that he was Head Boy, and I had rolled my eyes and rebuked him, of course. I nearly fell over when he showed me the badge. I, of course, asked if Remus had let him hold onto it, and he denied. JAMES POTTER WAS HEAD BOY!

Anyway, while me and Natalie were alone to talk I told her about my idea for contract between me and the marauders. It had originally been only a month, but I thought I would still have the after shock of Potter to live through and made it three months of prankfree. Natalie, of course, LOVED the idea.

What is it with everyone wanting me and James together? I'm into books and hate flying, he spends half of his time flying and even less studying. How can he be better than me in transfiguration??? We're almost complete opposites. Though, I hate to admit this, but I have found some of his pranks rather funny. It's the ones that hurts or humiliates people that I hate. I wonder if people humiliated him daily he might not be so hex happy.

Back to what happened. James came back in, and there was still no sign of Mary or Peter. I was, of course, worried. James joked saying that perhaps his mother had held him back because of his grades, I was pretty dissapointed. He treated one of his best friends that way, how would he treat a girlfriend. Well, I know how he's treated his other girlfriends, and thats enough to keep me away.

We arrived at the castle soon, thank Merlin, and somehow I got seated near James and Natalie had gone missing. I think she went to see some friends or something close to that. It was rather cute when this first year came over. What I can't believe is she asked him to be her boyfriend and Potter had said I was his girlfriend. Of course, he had been trying to not hurt the girl's feelings but me being his girlfriend made me want to laugh.

The sorting went on and I believe we have fourteen new Gryffindors. James and I retired to the Head Dorms and we talked about the contract. We made a few plans, nothing much really. He was going to talk to the other marauders about it, but I think Sirius is going to try and get something out of it. My fear is it's going to be something ten times as worse as not pranking for three months. I mean, they're pranksters and wouldn't they want to leave the school with a big BANG! Well, I'm about to fall over so I'll just stop writting. I hope I wrote everything important for now.

Well, so far it's been one month since the contract. I can not believe the marauders have made it this long. I just wish I could enjoy it as much as I wanted to when I made the contract. In fact, when I made the contract there were a few different interesting things that I had to agree to as well. As if going on a date with James Potter wouldn't be enough.

The restriction was strange, it truly was. I've had my suspicions about Remus Lupin, but this raised my suspicions to an entirely new level. I am only allowed three questions about them disappearing every night. ONLY THREE! I must choose carefully, so I have begun a list of all the questions and crossing out the ones I think won't be one of the final three. It's begun to get quite difficult, I still have so many questions left to cross out.

We have many Head duties that take up alot of my time, often I'm up late doing my work and then I have to wake up early to get to breakfast before most would then off the library to do some homework. I'm not nearly getting enough studies done as I wish, but I am doing my best to keep up my grades. I almost feel in sleep in Potions though, I had to get woken up. Not sure who woke me up, I was still groggy but I sure do need some sleep. You would think that instead of writing a journal entry I would be sleeping, right?
