Chief Statistics

Mutant Class: Class 3

Power/Mutation: Kitty has the ability to 'phase' through things. When sh phases through something, or someone, she is intangible and cannot be hurt. She gains limited resistance to mental attacks while in her phased state because her mind becomes hard to pin down. However fast she is going before she phases into something, is how fast she 'enters' it. She is only able to phase through something as long as she can hold her breath. So if she has to hold her breath for too long she will not be able to phase through the object. Kitty is able to pass through electronics and if she does this, she disrupts them for the amount of time she phases through them. She is also able to phase people with her (like phasing Bobby with her at Alcatraz). As long as she is holding onto them there is no problem. She has to remain connected with them the whole time though in order for them to phase with her.

Weaknesses: She has to be able to breath so she can't phase underground for too long. Also, even though phasing is like a second nature to her she still has to concentrate in order not to get stuck in a wall or something like that.

Personal Skills: She is a whiz with computer and has recently taken up cooking

Strength Level: Kitty posses the normal strength of an average woman of her height and weight who engages in regular physical activity.

Personal Information

Picture: user posted image

General Appearance: Kitty is one that has never really been into fashion that much, and she really doesn’t particularly care for it. She would be the one that would toss on an old t-shirt and a holy pair of jeans and be comfortable all day long. She does however have a love of jewelry. She will usually be seen with at least four bracelets on her wrists and two to three necklaces hanging around her neck.

She does have a fair amount of dress clothes however. They are all usually buried in the deepest darkest corner of her closet, but she has them. The main reason she has them if she goes to a job interview she will look presentable and professional. She has a few dresses buried inside her closet as well. They are all mainly flowing and bright colored summer dresses that during the summer she will usually wear. She loves the whole ‘hippie’ clothes look and that is what she tends to wear during the summer.

She normally has long hair and keeps it very simple. She has yet to dye her hair and she probably never will. As for make-up, she wears very little. Normally a little foundation, a splash of blush and eye shadow, a little mascara and a little bit of lip gloss and she’s out the door. She has stunning eyes that could be described as a doe brown color. Her skin is very light, almost alabaster looking.

Other Distinguishing Features:

Mentality

Personality: Kitty has quite the unique personality. She is a gentle person by nature and if you can get her going, she is quite the chatterbox. She prefers to be the one to keep the peace and not get into an argument. If she is in the middle of an argument with someone she will do her best to take the high road and make the argument end quickly.

However, this can sometimes be a problem. At points in time she will be the person to say whatever is one her mind and then other times she will be the person to be quiet and withdraw into her shell. Ever since she got her powers she created a bit of a shell that she would withdraw into when angry. It was a way for her to make sure she wasn't hurting anyone. She doesn't like to see anyone hurt and she will do her best to make sure she doesn't hurt those she cares about. She is sometimes ashamed of the wall she has built between those and the ones she cares about, but in her mind it is to protect them from getting hurt and also herself from getting hurt.

There is yet another layer to the complexity that is Kitty. Underneath the calm exterior is a girl that can be quite stubborn and rebellious. Once she has her mind set onto something it is near impossible to get her to change it, and if you do attempt to get her to change it...well you'll get a tongue lashing later on in the day. There is also a carefree side to her that not a lot of people see. If you have known her for a long time and she trusts you, you've probably seen this side. It is the side of her that loves to goof off and just relax. She'll sometimes get into a mood and she will even play pranks on those that she knows rather well. She loves to watch from a distance the pranks and in reality, the shell that she has built disappears for a brief moment while she enjoys the company of her friends and is very loyal to her friends.

Biography

Known Relatives: Carmen and Theresa Pryde (Mother and Father)

Past or Current Relationships: Bobby Drake-Current

History: Kitty had a pretty normal childhood. She had two loving parents and they taught her to accept everyone, no matter how different they were from you or what religion they believed in. She had a fun time going to public school and this is where she learned her compassion. She always stuck up for the people that were picked on a lot. She showed the other students at her school that even if you are different, you shouldn't really care, and just try to make friends.

When she became around the age of 13 her powers started to show. She would get horrible headaches that would leave her in bed for days. She would fall asleep and wake up to her mother screaming and realize that she had fallen from the second floor bed to the couch in the living room (Thank goodness that had been there). Her mom freaked out a bit but eventually accepted that her daughter was a mutant. Kitty tried to hide her powers at first, but she eventually stopped and even though her school mates shunned her, her family supported her and tried to find a place where she wouldn't be ostracized.

She was soon approached by Xavier and taken to his school. She still wasn't sure about how to control her powers or what not but she saw this as an opportunity to gain control of them. She practiced and eventually could control when she became tangible and when she became intangible. She practiced her powers whenever she could and she would use them while playing games. She grew close with a lot of the students there and considers most of them family.

Kitty dealt with the professor's death, and Scott's. She participated at the battle between the brotherhood and X-men. She used her phasing ability and her quick wit to save Jimmy (aka Leech) from being killed by some of the brotherhood mutants and Juggernaut. She got out of the building alright and she helped Leech escape with Bobby. She wanted to stay and fight but knew that the rest of it was up to Logan and he had to do it by himself. She got out and went with Bobby and Leech, waiting for Logan to get back.

Now back at the mansion, there is still tension just about everywhere you look and she can feel it in her life too. She has heard the whispers of the government wanting to clone the mutant gene and the like and she has no idea what to think about it.

RP Sample: Her mind hadn't even begun to wander towards Bobby while staring out the window. Sure, he popped into her head on a regular basis, but she did her best to ignore it. He obviously needed time. She wasn't the type of girl to say pick now or else. She was willing to give him as much time as he needed. She didn't want to give him the time he needed, there was no denying that. However, in the long run she knew it would do them both some good.

So Bobby went to England with Tessa for three weeks and she buried herself in schoolwork. She buried herself so deep down that it took the whole time that he was gone before she could even think of him. When he came back, she was excited, no denying that. But she could tell something was off. So, instead of seeking him out, she let him do his own thing. She wouldn't be the first one to make the move. He had to be. In her eyes it was only fair that he make the first move.

"A penny for your thoughts?"

She couldn't help the fact that she jumped, and her body inadvertently started to phase into the windowsill. She looked up to see Bobby and a small smile came to her face. She pulled herself out of the windowsill and she wrapped her small arms around him. She couldn't help it. Even after everything she still cared for him. After all he was her best friend. He was the person she could go to and he would listen to her, regardless of how ridiculous it sounded or was.

"Bobby! I'm so glad to see you. I mean, how was England? And my thoughts aren't important. I was just reflecting on how much homework I did over the past couple of weeks. I swear it could eat me alive," She said, letting go of him after she realized she was still hanging onto him.
