Yeah, when I get to have my GIMP open while returning my computer resources to some place that shouldn't even be on a windows machine (GTK2+ RT) I love to make images.

For the moment, I have none of my artwork to show (due to laziness via upload... ripway doesn't like my bandwidth consumption, and IS is too slow).

Not many rules...

1. Be specific on your request. If not, I may veer off the trail and do whatever the heck I want, which may not be what you intended. The more specific you are, the easier it is to make you a banner.

2. State the banner size. If you don't want a 600X150 large banner, then tell me what it should be. Don't put it in inches, cm, or whatever... Unless I know your screen's DPI, then put it in Pixels. If you are not competent enough to do that, then don't even ask me for a banner.

3. Supplementary materials are very welcome. Actually, it makes my job a helluva lot easier to make a banner out of sup-mat than it is from scratch, or me having to browse the internet to find a picture of Link in the pose you wanted. I'm a CG artist, not a pen and paper one. In case you didn't know, Sup-mat is pre-made images that you want pieces of or whatever to make the banner for you. If you want a banner of Links face, a Hyrule field in the background, and fancy text, then please give me the picture of Links face you wanted to use, and the picture of Hyrule you wanted. And if you can, a sample of the text, or a place where I can download said font. If you don't supply them, I'll find my own, and it may not be what you wanted.

4. Please keep requests lawful and inside the forum's rules (that means no pornography)... Keep profanity to a minimum. I don't care, but other people might.

5. If you use my thread to chat in, then don't go too far off-topic. I don't want to have to read through a bunch of crap to find someone's request, nor do I want to miss a request due to stupidity.

All right, I'll make a request, if not just to boost the ratings for your shop.

I would like a signature/avatar set, featuring The Skull Kid from Majora's Mask. It should say 'useless puppet', or 'foolish puppet', whichever one you think would work best. I don't really have any particular color scheme or anything like that in mind, but a dark kind of atmosphere about it would be nice. Also, feel free to experiment with this set, if you want. I'm perfectly happy being the subject of anything that you wanted to try out.

No font in particular, either. Whatever you think fits. If you think that's annoying when people say that to you, just wait. People will always say that. It's one of the fundamental laws of the universe.

Well, this is embarrassing. My GTK2+ Runtime isn't working, and GIMP is being stupid (running a GNOME program on Windows isn't supposed to happen, so GIMP likes to close at unexpected times, and I've already lost two near-finished copies of the banner). I'm, going to get PSP7 sometime, but I'll have to postpone my imagery for a little while. Sorry for the letdown.

(I'll get PSP7 when I'm able to pirate it from my teacher at school XD)

That actually happens to me a lot... the best thing to do is just re-install GIMP every time (just GIMP 2.2, not the runtime environment), and keep doing it whenever you want to start up GIMP. Sure, it takes longer, but who really cares? It gets open, and in the meantime, make a post or five here.

It's no problem, really. That's one of the things I don't necessarily like about GIMP.

Although my computer is slow (and I mean slow as you wouldn't believe, 64MB RAM, 400MHz processing speed) and I don't have the patience to do that every time, I may just wait for PSP7 instead. Maybe I'll make some random QT movies with VRWorx I hijacked from my advanced web design teacher... He's not that bright, and a flash drive is God.

Hmm. I hate how GIF's are the only format that supports transparency, but it only allows 256 colors.

Oh well, I still did well enough. My internet shut down while I was working, and I was going to get a background image, but instead just made one from scratch.

I winged the wording a little, but I like it better.

I also have PNG versions, but they aren't uploaded to IS.

Also, this is on my personal IS account, so if it exceeds the bandwidth limit, then the pic is gone. I suggest saving a backup to your computer, or hosting it elsewhere.

Doesn't .PNG support transparency? I have lot's of .PNG images that have transparency in them.

I think the newest PNG standards do, but I can never get it to work, so I prefer GIF. The colors came out almost perfect (except the black around the border was a little darker than expected, but no big deal)

Thanks! Lysis has a point, though. .png supports transparency, and it takes almost no work to get it to look nice, because it accepts 'millions of colors'. XD
