2011-2012 TheFrozenPond Yahoo! League

Hey guys,

All the teams are signed up so now Iron Man and I will enter each teams roster. Rosters will be entered based on the Google Spreadsheet, a link to which you can find here:

I suspect minor inconsistencies (ideally there'd be none, but life isn't perfect :) ), so we can handle those as they arise.

In the meantime, if you notice discrepancies, please post them here.

Marc-Andre Bergeron is currently a FA and is not listed in Yahoo. Please make an appropriate roster move so that your team can meet the 25 man roster limit.

You might want to update your roster page (the forum version, and not the google spreadsheet):
- You dropped Stillman but still have him listed in the forum.
- Regin is listed on your NHL Centers list in the forum, but is on the Farm in Google
- Couture is the opposite of Regin
- Grabner is the same as Couture

I stated I'll be using the Google version, so you'll have no Stillman, Regin on the Farm, and both Couture and Grabner on the NHL roster.

I took the liberty of adding first names to your roster in the Google version.

I was tempted to add the following players for you :)

Brown -> Mike instead of Dustin
Giroux -> Alexandre instead of Claude
Sharp -> MacGregor instead of Patrick (whoever MacGregor is, he's in Yahoo)

BTW, Niedermayer and Blake retired, so you have 2 roster spots you need to fill in.

In the Google Doc roster, Dallas had Niklas Hjalmarsson, but he is property of San Jose (picked up July 19, 2010).

Your forum roster page has Francois Beauchemin, but not Hjalmarsson, so I'll be adding Beauchemin instead.

Of the 8 teams added thus far, only Buffalo and Montreal are under the roster limit (everyone else is at the 25 spot limit).

Yahoo needs to have all 25 spots taken, so if Buffalo and Montreal don't make the moves, I will, at my discretion, add players from their farm (if possible). If not possible, then I will add the available players (untaken by any of us) to serve as placeholders until they can make the appropriate roster moves.

San Jose has Paul Kariya, who is currently a FA. As such, he's not listed in Yahoo. Please make the appropriate roster moves to get to the 25 man roster limit.

St. Louis has Paul Ranger and Vesa Toskala, who are also FAs. Please make the appropriate moves to get to the 25 man roster limit.

EDIT: I got this backwards originally.

All teams are entered, with the following exceptions

Buffalo: Needs to add 1 more player
Montreal: Needs to add 2 more players
San Jose: Needs to add 2 more players
St. Louis: Needs to add 1 more player

As mentioned previously, I'll make the appropriate moves (at my discretion), later tonight using the following rules:
- Select eligible farm team/prospect players, who are listed on Yahoo, for the positions missing.
- Same as above, but for any position.
- If I still can't find anyone, then I will select any free player to serve as a placeholder.

I will do this shortly, so that we can adjust our rosters for tomorrows action.

As per the post above, these are the following roster moves made to get all teams at the 25 player roster limit:

Buffalo drops Marc-Andre Bergeron and promotes Jason Demers.

Montreal promotes Thomas Hickey and Jonathon Blum.

San Jose drops Paul Kariya and promotes Viktor Stalberg.

St. Louis drops Paul Ranger and Vesa Toskala and promotes Peter Harrold and Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers
