From the contact information, some of us live in NHL cities and others don't even live in this country :o With that said, any of you plan on attending a game this year?

My wife and I honeymooned in Vegas this past January, and I planned a day trip to Anaheim (Jan 23). Got to watch my boys in Red for the first time and they didn't disappoint with a 2-1 win.

Looking at the schedule, and given my location, I'm planning on going to either the Jan 3, 2009 or Feb 21, 2009 game in Minneapolis to watch the Wings again. I'd love to go to a game at the Joe, but maybe next year.

I live in Pittsburgh, so I try to make it to a least a couple games each season. Usually they're Rangers vs Pens, but I'll take what I can get.

Very difficult to get tickets for Pens games though.

You guys in the States are lucky, where most of the NHL tickets are dirt cheap.

I havent' gone to a live NHL game since I came to Ontario 10+ years. The Leafs tickets price is just too ridiculous to go. Add in parking and drink/food, going to watch 1 game will cost me as much as the ice-times for 1/2 a season of rec hockey.

Did watch 2 games when I was in Vancouver tho. First one, season opener vs Detroit, was a free ticket from my uncle... his company sold the land to Vancouver to build GM Place so they own a private box in GM Place. Second time... a $75 student discount ticket on level 100, New Year Eves game vs Philly.

Would LOVE to go watch a game tho really....

Funny that you ask... I normally catch quite a few games, and my dad called me tonight asking if I wanted to head to the Sens/Wings opener in Ottawa.

My 2 favourite teams on a Saturday, and I live in Ottawa so I can be hammered and bus home... oh dear, should be a great time. :D

That looks like me on my team :( I play with forwards who don't backcheck, leaving our D very exposed (as it looks like from that pic)

Note that the defenceman is Ben Shutron... who at the time was one of the most offensive-minded d-men in the league...

...also note that I said Kingston would be MUCH better this year. ;)

so which other teams may be interesting to watch this year? Maybe I'll go watch a couple this season. $18 ticket for the Fronts is much more affordable than the $150 one for the Leafs :)

That was a fun game.

Last game I was at was Flyers/Lightning, in Tampa. Game 1 of the ECF. Flyers lost by one and it was about 100 degrees outside. Worse venue ever.

Arena must have been packed though, no? I do love the idea that they report 20,000+ attendance, and I hope it's true.
