001. How long has it been since the vampires surfaced?It has been about five months and counting since the vampires took over. At first it was just weird attacks, but then more and more vampires started to wake up.
002. What do you mean Brooklyn is 'Vampire Territory'?The vampires have the majority of the control in Brooklyn. They can roam the streets freely (watching out for rebels of course) and carry on with their daily lives with minimal military interference. However, there are still a lot more people than there are vampires. They're just trying to carry on as best then can. Even if the entire city hid in their homes when it got dark the vampires could still get to them, so for many people trying to stay unnoticed is the best way of getting along.
003. Why don't they leave?For many, finding a place to live is very difficult outside Brooklyn. The cost of living outside Brooklyn has sky rocketed. Not to mention that most of these people have lives and families in Brooklyn. The thought of leaving a dream that many are working to achieve.
004. What about silver?Silver is extremely helpful against vampires, but it is also getting rarer and rarer because of this.
005. When did the plague hit? What happened exactly to the vampires?The plague came around the late 15th century. At this time there were whole countries ruled by vampires. The plague was carried by people and could infect vampires through the drinking of infected blood. Quickly, numbers plummeted. Vampires fled infected land, but the virus came with their slaves. Before long the ancients, leading the different traveling clans ordered them into sleep. A few vampires disregarded this and stayed above ground. Most of them died with a small number remaining.
You must PM an admin if you wish to play a vampire that didn't go into sleep. It was an underground construction project that woke up the vampires.
006. Are all the vampires awake?No, a fair amount are still sleeping. The younger ones wake up the fastest. There are many more young vampires than ancients awake. But more vampires are waking every day.
007. How old are the ancients? Are young are the younger ones?A vampire is considered ancient if he or she was born (and turned into a vampire) before the fifteenth century. All those vampires that had been around only a hundred years or so when the plague struck are considered young. Of course there are also those who have been bitten since the surfacing, they are also considered young. For more information on the vampires, go here;
The Vampires008. How does someone get turned into a vampire?It's a completely different bite than a killing bite. Then a transformation occurs that takes about an hour, often less since the attack and the person's first bite. People such as rebels and military are often known for killing themselves before they turn.
009. Do vampires eat food? No, only blood.
011. Why doesn't Staten Island and Queens have a catergory like Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan?At the moment, we're focusing on those three boroughs. Perhaps at a later date, we will add a catergory for those two boroughs.
012. Where are the vampires.Right now the vampires are ONLY in New York City. There might be a few rogue ones wandering around the world, but they're not important for the plot. The vampires were sleeping and had their sleeping place in New York City disturbed. Right now the rest of the world is safe and desperately trying to figure out how to keep the problem contained. Most likely scientists are trying to figure out what they can about the vampire plague, but only the military would have any clue about this.
