Divian poked his head into the music room. As soon as he'd dropped his baggage off in his room and herded his overprotective parents out of the school, he'd scoured the hallways for this room. A wide grin spread over his face as he glaned around the room, taking stock of all the instruments.

Drums were set up on one side, woodwinds and the smaller brass were tucked away in the lockers on the other; the stack of papers on a set of desks in the back poured out music that Divian could hear from where he was standing. His fingers itched to finger through the scores and separate the notes into a beautiful song.

Still grinning, he stepped inside and shut the door behind him. He dropped the small bag he carried and touched a drum; under his fingers, it quivered, letting out a loud bass note. He jumped, jerking his hand back and looking around guiltily; he wasn't expecting it to be so loud.

"Playing with the instruments?" Nessa had opened the door, and rested herself on the frame, listening as the drum softly vibrated. She was smiling, And looked comfortable, as if she'd been in the room before. In truth she was leaning on the door from to keep herself balanced for at least a second. Neither had she seen this room before. But it was like to other one at home. Lockers, a desk, and the soft smell of the metal and woods the instruments were made of.

A large Cello case was leaning against the other side of the casing, before she straitened back up and grabbed it. She swayed over to the desk and Leaned the case on the desk. She looked more carefully at the desk. It was piled with papers. She bent over to sift through them, picking up a small group one at a time, a softly flipping through them, every so often pulling apart two with he nails. After sifting through only three groups, she herself leaned on the desk, biting her lip and dragging her fingers through her hatless, and green streaked hair. "Kids and their disregard for others. It's almost in humane, half of these papers are notes from club members, and the rest is paper work< Now I have to sit and sort through all of it."

Regardless, she sat down in her chair and began sorting the papers, finding a pen in drawer, and an empty inwell on the desk under a couple papers. Digging further in the desk she found a bottle of ink and pour a reasonable amount into the well, before clossing the bottle and returning it to the desk. now with pen in hand, she returned to sorting the papers into two piles, and looking over anything she found interesting.

"So whatcha doin' around here kid?"

Divian jumped again when the girl spoke, gripping the edge of the drum and blushing. He hadn't heard her come in. Edging around the drum, keeping it as a buffer between him and her, he works his way around to face her.

He studied her carefully, taking in the way she moved and spoke before opening his mouth. "You're weird." At length, he spoke again. "I guess...they don't know how to file things properly." He glanced away, looking around the room again. "I could help, if you want. I need new music to play, anyway."

Cautiously, he stepped towards her, more wary of the way she acted then the fact that he'd never met her before.

"You're weird.

"Ain't that the half of it? Takes one to know one, eh?" She didn't look up from her paper's and continued through them. I guess...they don't know how to file things properly. I could help, if you want. I need new music to play, anyway." "But I'm sure they don't, have a good filing system, you know. I'm gonna have to find a way to keep things sorted if kids keep coming and throwing notes on my desk. I'll take you up on your offer, here, pull up on of the chairs and sort through these." She pushed a nice pile of papers to the corner of the desk for him, "If you find anything important give it to me."

She finally looked up, only to see him slinking across the room, cautiously. This behavior only made her smile more. "Kid, I'm not gonna bite, promise." She paused as if trying to remembers something, "Ah, by the way, my name's Nessa, Nessa Lock."

"Kid, I'm not gonna bite, promise. Ah, by the way, my name's Nessa, Nessa Lock."

Divian pulled a chair up and pulled the papers closer, studying the paper on top. "Well...sorry. You look like the type of person who bites really hard." He flashed an impish grin and dropped the paper into the pile that already looked like it was going to be junk. "Divian Seiben. It's nice to meet you, Nessa."

After junking a few more papers in silence, he looked back at her. "So...I'm new. Are you the head of the music department? Or do you always act so commandingly?" He dropped a paper into a second pile, and handed Nessa a third sheet with the beginnings of a beautiful score. "I can't tell, you could be either, the way you carry yourself."

"Oh, I'm sure I can, I just meant I'm not gonna bite you. Plus with the way I grew up, I should hope I learned to be careful what goes in my mouth." She threw him and equally impish grin, trashing the entire stack of papers she'd been looking at, as they seemed to be a stack deposited by a one person for a large group, and nothing that needed her looking at for the moment. "It's equally nice to meet you, I'm sure."

"If there were a music department I wouldn't be heading it, that's for sure, they'd have a teacher for that. Nah, I'm just the supervisor for the Music Club. And don't worry I'm probably as new as you are if not more." She though over the last part for a bit, leaving a scilence only broken by the shuffling of papers. "Commandingly, I'd like to think I don't, but you never know what other's might say. Either way, I don't think so."

Putting her pen in it's stand, she put her hands on the arms of her chair and put her feet in a cross legged position.

Divian laughed, reaching over to take Nessa's pen; he scratched something out on a paper, wrote something beside it, and dropped it into the non-trashed pile. "Well, then, I'm especially glad I met you, because you'll be seeing a lot of me." He replaced the pen. "It helps that you're new, too. Makes me a bit more comfortable."

He looked over at her again and slouched back in his chair, crossing his legs at the ankles. "What I meant about the confidence thing..." Chewing on his thumb, he tilted his head, letting his bangs fall over his forehead. "I 'unno. You just...looked like you should be there when you walked in. I came in and felt like an intruder, even though music's the only thing I'm good for." Flipping another paper into the trashed pile, he gave her another glance. "What's your power, anyway?"

She leaned over and poked Divian, the reclined into he chair and let him do a bit of the work. "Lessee'," she murmered to herself for a little bit, "your have brittle bones, not in the best of health, probably won't ever be, you have a slight sunburn from this summer, and a cold coming on from the change of weather. Your right ankle is also recovering from a sprain, and you put a little too much strain on your hip recently,so that's gonna be sore... That's my power, I guess. Might want to take a bit of medicine before the cold starts affecting your breathing." She paused for a moment, and picked up some papers from the important pile, riffling through them to see if she had the patience to read any of them at the moment.

"And you, what do you do?" she raised an eyebrow in question. "Definitely something musical if you managed to get here earlier than me. Probably not soething powerful with a build like that." She opened a drawer, and put about three pages of good sheet music she'd found in there. "Alright, " She said, getting out of her chair, "I seriously need to move around." She began looking around at the instruments, checking to see which students may have dropped their's off earlier. "What do you play, Divian?"

Divian's eyebrows raised high, disappearing behind his bangs. He whistled softly, pushing the few important papers he found towards her. "Hmm. You're good at that. It took my doctor fifteen minutes of prodding to get even the sprained ankle bit." He flexed the ankle experimentally. "And I'll definitely take something for that cold, wouldn't want to be whisked back home over a cold in the first week or two of school..." He sighed and bent over the papers, chewing his thumb.

"As for me..." He made a flippant gesture with one hand. "I play anything and everything. Like I said, music's the only thing I'm good at." He nodded at the cello Nessa had picked out. "I can touch that and make it play anything I want it to. That's all I have to do to get an instrument to play -- touch it." He smiled. "But if you meant what did I bring, just my flute and my piccolo. They're in my bag."
