Orbiting high above Corneria, a small space station kept constant watch on the little planet. Nothing exciting for the station's two inhabitants thus far. The area seemed peaceful, yet so troubled. Any ships flying to and from the planet were mostly government ships, and couldn't be intercepted.


"This sucks...", Randy says with a sigh. He had the control room all to himself as his sister slept, and he still couldn't find anything to do. "How the hell can she stand sitting here all day?".

The communication lines had been quiet for the longest time, and the little canine was just praying someone would call. Even a telemarketer would be a welcome thing.


Finally, he had had it. Setting a timer for the bay doors and slingshot mechanism, he ran for his ship. Having made it with a few seconds to spare, he quickly jumped in and closed the cockpit.

The doors opened, and the Arwing was shot into space while still offline. Randy drifted there in space for a moment or two before the ship finally went online. For now, he would simply fly around and blast some space debris. It was something to do.



An hour had passed...
Nothing.

He then decided to take a little trip. Setting coordinates for 'The Dead Place', he set off, hoping he'd be able to find a landing spot in the massive jungle. If he couldn't, he'd make one.

Does that guy actually expect us to have that amount of cash!? Wolfo thought to himself as he and Tailer sped through space.

"Wolfo, I got something on radar." Tailer announced.

"Hm, do you know what it is?" Wolfo replied.

"It appears to be a masked signal. Could be Apostasy." Tailer answered.

"Okay, lets check it out!" Wolfo said as he sped off in the direction of the signal.

As the two crafts approached the space station, it's one crew member was still asleep.

an automated warning was transmitted to the ships:
Warning, you are in a restricted flight zone

This would be repeated two or three times until finally cutting out. If the ships continued their course, the space station's alarm system would soon wake up the young woman inside.

For now, an unidentified transmission would follow the warning. This transmission would scramble their radar, hopefully adding to the effect of the warning to discourage the two from continuing.

Wolfo and Tailer flew a bit farther before they recieved the automated transmission.
Warning, you are in a restricted flight zone
"Wolfo, what should we...What the!"
"What is it-oh! Radar's not working here."
"Yeah, I'm picking up a signal. It's masked and I don't think I can trace it. Defiantly not Cornerian." Tailer said as he braked.
"Hm, Okay." Wolfo announced as he braked as well. "Do you think you can get radar back up?"
"Lets see..." Tailer replied, pressing many screens. "Yeah! I can, actually. This'll be a good field test to that program I've been working on."
Tailer pressed a few more screens.
"There!" He said as radar came back on, "I've sent out a magnetic wave that'll hinder the signal. This is the first field test so I don't know how long the magnetic field will hold before the program crashes, so stay close."
And with that, Tailer sped off and Wolfo followed.

As the ships continued their course, the ships security system would activate it's second defense: AA sentries.

These sentries were deployed on the various debris and other space junk floating around the space station. Only the blue light from these sentries short-circuiting could be seen, since they were extremely sensitive to magnetic signals. They were aimed, but disabled and could not fire.



If the two checked closely, they'd see a craft marked 'SF-3' on their radar. The lone Arwing came in fast from behind, though didn't fire just yet. It's pilot wasn't sure if they were hostiles or just lost.

"Hey, Wolfo! You see that on radar?"
"Yeah," Wolfo answered, "What do you think it is?"
"Don't know. Can you run a diagnostics report 'cuz I've gotta keep the program from crashing."
Wolfo did a quick diagnostics report on the ship.
"Lets see, A Star Fox Arwing. Man, you don't see too many of those now adays."
Wolfo turned onto a public channel.
"How long are ya planning to follow us?" Wolfo said snickering.

[Ace]

It took a moment for Randy to respond, having some difficulty contacting his sister for some reason before going to the public channel.

"Until you get too close to my station. When you do, you see, I'm going to kill you", he responds rather casually.


Jessica had already rushed into the control room, but she couldn't get any of the security systems online. "Stupid magnets...", she mumbles to herself. not much to do except wait out the signal.

"Huh," Wolfo replied with a snicker, "You don't look like you're from Apostasy. And a space station?"
"So THATS what was emitting that scrambler signal." Tailer said as he pressed a few screens.
"That explains things. So what are you hiding there?" Wolfo announced as he switched to a private channel.
"Hey Tailer, you think that program will work on ships as well?"
Tailer replied on a private channel as well, "Probably, but your ship would be knocked out as well."

[Ace]

Randy didn't bother to answer the trespasser's last question. Instead, he adjusted his G-diffusers and turbo boosters. He was already aware or the magnetic signal they were using, seeing the sentries short-circuiting. Jessica had always told him a magnet was the only thing that could do that to her machines.


Charging up as the man switched to a private channel, Randy's Arwing blasts straight forward, rocketing past the two ships as he headed towards the station to see why he couldn't communicate.

Wolfo quickly dodged his ship to the right as Randy sped past them into the distance.
"Well," Wolfo said as he steadied the Canine Fang, "At least we don't have to use that program to knock out his ship."
"Yeah, but I better keep it ready. You know, just in case."
"I guess you're right." Wolfo said as he sped in the direction Randy flew off to.
"Hey! Wait up!" Tailer yelled as he followed.

[Ace]

The station finally came into view after dodging a few asteroids. The station of the Star Fox branch-off wasn't much, but nothing to sneeze at. Everything seemed to be in order. No chunks in the hull...no smoke...nothing. Right now, Randy just wanted to get there to make sure everything was alright. But his sister had other plans.


Jessica watches the three ships approach on radar, seeming to become more and more excited as Randy leads them toward the station. "Yes! Just a bit closer!"

She already had a program ready and a ship picked out. All she had to do was wait.

So, this is the space station, Wolfo thought as they got closer to the station.
Looks run-down. But in working condition at least
"Hey, Tailer!" Wolfo announced on a private channel, "Can you fly up to that guy's Arwing and see if you can get a better view of the station? Not too close, just on his left so he doesn't think we're gonna shoot him."
"Uh, okay..." Tailer said curiously as he sped up towards Randy's ship.

[Ace]

Jessica quickly initiates the program as her target ship gets closer. Sending out her viral signal to the one coming up on Randy's left, she hopes to convert 'Manuel Override' to her control. Sort of like making it a remote control plane if the program succeeds.

Randy keeps flying, despite the other ship coming toward him. Why were they so interested in the station? They didn't seem to be government agents, yet they were suspicious.

"What the!!" Tailer said as he franyically pressed screens. "Ah! A virus!?"
"What is it Tailer?" Wolfo asked as he caught up to Tailer's stationary ship.
"A virus from that station no doubt! Hold on, I'll give them a taste of their own medicine..."
Tailer pressed a few more screens.
"Haha! Yeah! Take that!" He exclaimed.
Tailer had sent a counter signal to the space station, a signal that short circuted the main computer.
"I don't know what you guys are up to bu-" Wolfo was interupted by Tailer.
"Wolfo, I'm picking up a signal from Aquas. Should we check it out 'cuz obviously these guys aren't Apostasy. They're too smart."
"Fine. Lets go. I don't know what you're hiding in there. But its probably nothing we need." Wolfo said as he pointed his ship to the direction of Aquas, then flying off.
Tailer did the same but before he flew off he said, "Your control computer will be up in a few hours. We'll be long gone by then."

(Sorry that I ended it so shortly, I got LoZ:TP in the mail so I'm gonna play it for a few days.)
