"No, man, It's fresh paint!" Liam quipped in reply, noting dully that he'd just been peppered again- 90%. "Aww, you're no fun! Nothin's gonna get done if all you do is stay on my butt the whole time!" He told Vince, smile curling onto his lips as he got another idea. "Quit tailgating!" Then, suddenly, Liam jammed his stick upwards, flying wildly upwards in a loop so he was upside down. He turned a little onto his side and fired his adjustable lasers at Vince below him, before he was forced to return to right side up. It was hard to maintain weird angles in conditions like these forcing you around.

Can't dodge what ya can't see. Liam decided happily, rocketing in the opposite direction.

"I suggest you do something about it then!" called Vince back before he saw Liam pull up ahead fast, before he could evern follow, he was getting shot on top and had to revert to moving randomly to avoid to avoid being a flat target. 85% now. "Darn flexible guns..."

That was the other problem that was there. Vince knew that Liam has more shield then him as his style did attract a lot of close encounters, not to mention that he'll be out there for a very long time, quite the key for the Rebels. Although Vince has got the better weapon, he doesn't have the flexibility in his guns.

If he could get rid of the threat of those guns, he'll remove that problem and make sure he's got clean ground. He can't get close enough to take it out without suffering a lot of damage.

So instead of aiming his locks at the hull, he'll aimed his locked hypers at a gun under the wing, and the rest of the shots will be to punish him if he leaves. If he can remove one, it's a big up for Vince.

So he did a quick 180o and got back at a safe distance behind Liam's tail using the little plan he got, he sent out a little more locked shots then usual aimed at the gun while keeping him in check with the regular laser rain.

It didn't take Liam long to figure out Vince was targeting his special secret lasers. He wasn't the first. Lots of fighters got so pissed with his flexible lasers they took all focus off of him and began firing solely on them. Liam frowned. His first shield was a bit weaker than your standard shield, providing him with more speed. Shields weren't heavy, but added extra weight and slowed him down, which Liam didn't like. But now this need for speed was threatening to cost him his lasers. And he couldn't use his backup shield- it was against the rules.

Well, if I can't fly away from him... Liam figured with a shrug. I'll just fly into him. See how long he waits before ducking. He grinned. Sure, it might beat up his shield more, but it would be good fun. Especially with the wind, and rain pelting on his cockpit. It was a little hard to see.

Liam did one of his famous loop-de-loops and then began rocketing straight at Vince, turning what looked to be a continuous barrel role. He looked like a drill. All the while, he fired both sets of lasers, like some kind of maniac.

Vince still was at it, but when Liam did an extremely fast loop to come back straight at Vince in a barrel roll as in some sort of rapid drill while with constant laser heading his direction.

"Defiantly something Liam would do..."

There is only one thing to do in this situation: Turn on the boosters while diving and make a rapid 180 with aid from the wind. It was important for Vince to know the location of Liam as he could lose him. Which is what he did immediately.

While using the boosters Vince dived, he needed to get back to counter as soon as possible, and did a quick 180 losing little speed before boosting back to go faster then Liam's current speed, since he did it very early and fast, he could catch the cat out.

He knew that Liam couldn't barrel roll forever, and he really couldn't aim backwards at him, so he was able to get closer then usual to him and continued to go randomly to evade any backfire and an easy target, locked a few shots and set out his usual set of laser rain for that "meaty hull," for damage and accuracy all set when Liam began to stop while dropping speed and ground to a safer distance while shooting in his usual pattern, so he wouldn't become an easy target himself. That's when the barrel roller is most vulnerable.

He needed to put some damage on the cat to put on the pressure. He's going to have to forget about doing damage to the extra guns for now.

Liam was actually still barrel rolling like an idiot and smiling wickedly when a red light flashed on his right, meaning "boss man or someone equally bossy is calling." Liam yelped, frowning and breaking out of his spiral towards Vince and looping almost lazily around in another direction.

"Liam if you don't get your furry ass down to Venom right now I swear I will blow the shit out of that fruity Arwing of yours. The briefing started 20 minutes ago and I'm sure as hell not taking notes for you." Oops. Liam had forgotten. He had another briefing after his work on Zoness.

"Aww, I love you too, Stevie." Liam replied with gusto as the the communication ended abruptly. Though, he was quite angry now. He wanted to continue this lovely little spat. It had been fun, though he hadn't been rattled yet.

"Well, kid, I'm afraid this ends here." He admitted sadly, twirling away and chattering into the free channel. "Duty calls. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll finish this later." Liam snickered darkly, waving into the darkness where Vince should have been. "Till then!" And so he was gone, flying away to wreak havoc at yet another military briefing.

Before Vince was ready to anything. He heard his radio:

"Well, kid, I'm afraid this ends here. Duty calls. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll finish this later." "Till then!"

He saw the dot that represented Liam's ship take off for duty as Vince was left to ponder. He didn't suffer much damage at all, but he'd be feeling disappointed that he felt that he didn't really leave an impact on the cat. He'd be looking for ways to conter that and maybe have a little more flexibility himself, but he knew he was up against one of the best, if not the best pilot in the rebel army.

He went back to Titania to recover and tune up his ship.
