Stream, A gently flowing stream

Diabla padded up to the stream, leading Thunder. She was deeply concerned for the smaller fae and it showed in every movement she made. She kept peeking back at Thunder to make sure she was alright.

"Here we are, the stream I promised you Thunder. Now rest and dip that paw into the water, it will clear out the infection." Diabla smiled softly and nudged Thunder to the water.

Thunder's paw was a dark angry red. Pain lanced though it as the fea limped. As Thunder saw the stream, she breathed a silent breath of relife.Thunder laied down, soking it in the stream. The flowing water soothed the paw. Thunder looked at Diabla with gratatude. "Thank you."she simply said.

Thunder looked at her suroundings. A stream blubbled around small reeds. It was very pretty, even if it was were it was not pretty. Thunder looked at Diabla. "Do you want to help me find my memories?" she asked quietly.

Diabla padded carefully over to Thunder and smiled softly. Her body froze stiff when she saw the deep red of Thunder's paw and the blood welling around it until it was submerged into the stream.

Diabla smiled "I am glad you like it here, its not the best and it has no healing properies, but it is a nice place to take a load off."

Diabla had frowned slightly when she heard Thunder, not mad, just thinking. After a moment she gave a slight nod.

"Thunder, I would be pleased to assist you in any way that I may." Diabla smiled again, softer this time, and laid down about a yard from Thunder.

"Thank you.". Two simple little words Thunder spoke. Her green eyes were filled with gratatude. Then, Thunder looked at her paw. The bleeding had stopped, and it was feeling much better. Taking it out of the stream, she looked at it. It wasn't an angrey red, but a soft pad like it was sappose to be.

Diabla smiled softly, creeping forward slowly on her belly to get a better view of the paw. It seemed to be doing much better and Diabla hesitantly kissed Thunder on the cheek.

"You are welcome Thunder. I know it is hard enough to travel alone, but to seek something as important as a memory when most others have betrayed you, it is the hardest thing a wolf can do."

Thunder cocked her head as Diabla kissed her on the cheek. Standing up, she tested her weight on it. It fet better, enough that she could walk on it without pain. Green eyes travled around the place as she said. "That I know.But..I still want to know the rest of my past."

Diabla smiled when she saw that Thunder could move with very little pain and put pressure on the paw.

"I understand that you want to know of your past, and I honor that. I was once lost myself you know, and it took me a VERY long time to find where I needed to be." Diabla's words were soft spoken and honest.

Diabla's tail wagged back and forth once. "But memory hunting later. Are you hungery?" Diabla smiled widely.

Thunder jumped to her paws. "You bet!" she cride. Flicking her ears up, she forze. A mouse scuttled between the reeds. Slowly approching, Thunder stalked it. When she was close enough, she pounced, landing square on it. Nodding with satisfaction, Thunder brought it over to Diabla.

Diabla shook with silent laughter as she watched Thunder leap to her feet and stalk after such a tiny snack. Once Thunder had squashed the poor mouse and brought it back, Diabla smiled and nudged her in the neck softly.

"Good move Thunder, but go ahead and eat it. I prefer bigger meals." Diabla said and licked her ebony maw.

Her head snapped into the air and she snorted.

"Blood" she whispered and continued to sniff the breeze for a moment.

"When you are ready Thunder, there is a wounded white tail buck about half a mile upwind from here." Diabla grinned with the thought of the hunt.

Thunder lifted her head a sniffed. Indeed, there was. A glitter formed in her eyes. Covering her mouse with dirt, she would get it later, she looked at Diabla. Slowly wagging her tail, she stepped forward, "Let's go."

Diabla smiled and flicked her tail once happily. She nodded slightly and turned into the wind, grinning widely, and started an easy trot in which even an injured wolf like Thunder could keep.

It didn't take them long to cover the half mile and soon they were in sight of the buck, who had collapsed to the ground from the loss of blood.

"Hmm... an easy meal" Diabla said to Thunder with a bark of laughter.

Thunder nodded. Wagging the tip of her tail, she went closer. It was wounded on the sholder, and was dieing. Thunder galnced at Diabla. The white wolfess said, "do you want to kill it, or should I do it?"

Diabla padded into the open slowly, looking over the wounded beast before her.

"I shall take this one" she said simply in a flat tone and padded over the beast, not even trying to hide herself. She stopped at the head and seemed to whisper something before locking her strong jaws on the neck and breaking the spine, killing the buck instantly.

"Now, we shall feast" Diabla grinned and walked to the side of the carcass and tore a piece off. This was her right, for she had killed the buck and she did over-rank Thunder.

"Come Thunder, while the blood is hot."

Thunder smiled. Bounding over to Diabla, she said, "Alright." With that, the white wolf tore off a peice. It was stringy, but good. Licking her chops, she ate. Thunder looked up, thinking, solmly.

Diabla ate her fill quickly, constantly alert for any intruders. After she was done she left Thunder to eat and bounded onto a fallen log where she laid and cleaned her paws while watching over Thunder and the carcass.

"Darn she looks just like Snow did. Maybe once I have helped her find her memories and her true place she can join with me. She would make a great Beta." Diabla thought silently, smiling softly as she watched over her friend.
