Due to the no legion restriction that we've been granted, I wanted to know some tactics that you would use that combines some different legions together.

For a bit of variation I'm considering a mixed Nutgle/Tzeentch force (something hard to pull of in the past). My Deathguard Plaguemarines just got even harder to take down, but with the increase in cost of them and their champion and weapons options a full on Deathguard army will be small to say the least. Adding a squad or two of Thosand Sons offers a similarly resilient unit but with the added bonus of AP3 bolters and a force-weapon wielding champion too, the 'inferno' bolters in particular mean I needn't go overboard with the Plasma guns in my Deathguard units. I shall experiment and report my findings

Are you going to sort some fluff, that could be more awkward.

I've a friend that recently played 2x20 Plague Marines alongside a unit of 20 'Zerkers. This army really tore me a new one. Sure, the three units cost nearly 1400pts, but they were nearly impossible to take out, and were dealing massive damage in return. A slow and steady tread across the table was really all he needed to do to secure victory.
Luckily, it was a mission requiring an objective to be met, and he just had too few units to claim/contest, so I got the win... Barely.
I recommended that he split the 'Zerkers into two units and give them each Rhinos and keep the two Plague Marine units as they were. I really liked the setup.

I just got the noew Codex today (finally ) I am rather impressed, sadly, I do not like the limited range of the pyskik powers. As fopr my choices, I am building a Chaos army from the ground up. I'd like some suggestions as far as which combonation of legions to use and what units to give which mark. So far I'm think Khorne and Tzeentch, the contradict each other in styles, but together they cover almost all the bases. Khornes heavy hitting melee plus Tzeenthcs psykik powers and ranged attacks. Should be an interesting combination.

I;'ve been told this is quite sick: Typhus leading a Tzeentch Terminator squad... what? I like the use of a Daemon Prince w/ Mark of Tzeentch, Warptime and Bolt of Change with a couple of squads of Plague Marines to form a pretty solid line of troops. Anything extra like a Predator or maybe a squad of Thousand Sons is nice too!

Can a Lord with a certain mark lead an army with a different Mark? (Khorne lord leading a full Tzeentch army.) Or would you need a HQ for each different mark.

There are no restrictions of any sort. So yes, a Khorne lord can lead an army with Tzeentchian troops etc.
Hell, you could have a lord with Mark of Rod Hull, one with Mark of Malal, and an army made up of Plaguemarines, Thousand Sons and Oompa-Loompas. That's both the strength and major weakness of the new codex.

hmm yeah, its more focussed in the material and phsyical way of battling instead of chance which does kinda ruin it a lil ill admit that as it adds some fun having daemons pop out of no where or not, the whole random element does give flavour, but theres the new daemon codex coming out soon so who knows what we'll see there

use berserkers... lots and lots of berserkers. i think a 1500pts list i managed to get 48 berserkers + Kharn. Tis fun rather than effective... first game with this list was against nids and i can honestly say it was one of the bloodiest games ever, i loved it ps. Kharn is a complete badass, took out a hive tyrant in close combat
