I think I have found all mahensi words in the books now. Here are the very few which are translated, or at least rather clear: hotai : bomb, explos' ![]() haosti : check it ("Mahe, haosti.” Check it, will you? “Shishti,” the mahe agreed.) Pau nai! : probably means "Wait!" (said to 2nd person plural) Mishio-ne. : I'm sorry. hao : yes mishi'sa : sorry (perhaps adj., perhaps infinitive, perhaps 2nd person singular) Neshighot-me pau taiga? : What the hell good it is? (Ok, but which word means what?) shoshe : hi (or something like that. Long time no see. Hello. “Lo,” he said, “Soje. Shoshe-mi.” “Shoshe,” Kesurinan said. shemasu : we'll talk ( I think. It could mean anything, but I assume it's "we'll talk" “Shemasu. We talk. We talk plenty." And Hilfy, to one of her crew after delivering a bunch of orders: "Ma'sho?" "Sho'shi." Oh well. Not so much, huh? Anyone else got something? -------------------- |
