The chlorination of the jacuzzi and the main pool is done, the rack is freshly oiled, 'Tacs Malts are safely locked in their tantalus, the goat hobbles are neatly arranged on their big steel hooks and the club shield and the Safe, Sane and Consensual signs are on the mantelpiece. Everyones personal kit is stowed and the door into fiction is safely locked

I think the club can be called to order.

Maybe a shrine could be placed in a corner of the Zimmer Club, decorated with little rhino statues, in Susan's honor?

Mule, would it be worth a gentle reminder in that direction? Susan's sense of ironic humour was often a breath of fresh air in the old site. I would love to see her back here, even as an intermittent reminder to be on our mental guard, as it were.

I did send Susan an ecard at Xmas but alas had no reply so I'm not sure whether her email address is still active. I will endeavour to see if she can be contacted.

I think Susan had departed by the time I arrived here, but I always enjoyed reading her posts when I perused the archives. We share a name and a city, and I miss her too even though I never knew her. Would that she would join us in our new home, or at least know that she is missed. Perhaps, Mule, you could entice her here on some pretext and then secure her to one of the goat hobbles?

I always rely on Kokipy for those kinds of questions, because she is both knowledgeable and reliable. A goat hobble is used as a form of alien ball-and-chain, ie. for securing to the body of persons who are at risk for flight in order to restrict movement.

i have a vague recollection that susan said sometime back that medical issues were limiting her computer access-so snail mail might be a better mode of reaching her? and btw, where's hawklady? we miss her too....
