Damien sat on the old armchair in the abandoned house on the edge of town that he had made into a home of sorts. He fingered his pentacle and run it between two fingers, so much had happened in several short months. He had lost his family, his home and many of his friends. Now he hid out here in the town of Rowan, hoping that those who hunted him would not be able to find him again. But in his heart he knew that it was only a matter of time, those Warlocks were extremely crafty. So he spent many of his days trying to come up with ways to defeat them and avenge his family.

But no matter how much he thought he could not come up with anything and loneliness was eating away at him. He missed having friends, people he could speak about his path with. Could there be other witches in Rown? The town's very name seemed to suggest it, but for now he would have to wait and be patient.

Sydnie had been running away from the warlocks for hours now. 'God...I think I lost them...' she thought. Her clothes were torn, her face was scratch, her legs were so weak she thought she was going to fall. Yet she never did so far, only when she tripped on a root, but that was while she was running from the warlocks. She walked up the woods she was in. SHe came upon some sort of path, decided to walk up on it carefully. What she saw gave Sydnie some hope. It looked like a little house of some sort. "I wonder if the owner will let me in..." she thought out loud. She walked up to the house nad knocked on the door 3 times. 'Please let me in." she thought looking at the darkening sky. It was threating to rain pretty soon.

Jenni Garou, she knew that her last name was special, that it signified that her family were possibly part of the 'loup garous' also known as werewolves, but that didn't bother her. She didn't have 'lycan' blood flowing through her veins; well not enough to let her shift shape that is, that was her parents who could, as well as her siblings. It had, unfortunately in her eyes, skipped her but maybe, if she were ever to find someone she granted worthy, she'd have babies and pass the gene on through that. She wasn't the only one hoping that'd be the case. She yawned as she stared up at the gray roof above her head, thinking that she should probably get her lazy butt outta bed, but after a long time of studying, she didn't want too.

Her pale, almost transparent, blue eyes slid off the roof, and moved to the window. Her pinked lips immediately curved up in the corners as she gazed out the window at the darkening sky. Oh how she loved the storms! She eagerly slid out of bed, forgetting her earlier laziness almost immediately and donned on a black, spaghetti strapped tank-top, and a pair of silky black boxers over her under garments and swiftly darted out of her room, heading easily passed her parents to the front door, but not before her older brother blocked her path. She glared up at the 6'2" giant of muscles. "Derrek! common... please? You didn't let me watch you guys last time!" She complained up at him, her parents snickering softly; Everyone in their family knew how much she hated that she wasn't able to join them in their hunting when it rained, but they'd let her watch them take off, but that wasn't the only reason she loved storms.

"Sorry squirt, not this time..." He said flashing a grin as their eldest brother, Rickey, took them both out as he tackled them... smashing the door and pinning Jenni between the giants that were called her brothers. She let out a howl of anger, hating when they did this to her, but she was glad Derrek was under her, cushioning the fall. She started to laugh along with the older wolves, until she heard her older sister let out a huff directly behind them. She took in a giant breath as Rickey got off of her, and she slid off Derrek while they all looked up at the fussy lady wolf.

"Relax Roxy.. the door will be fixed before your pretty little shoes get ruined by the rain.. unlike last time, so don't get your tail in a twist." Rickey's rough voice huffed out in the general direction of the door, before they started to laugh again as Roxy stormed passed them. Jenni watched as her parents came out of the house, walking over the broken door with an amused look in their eyes as they headed towards the back yard, well, the woods really.

Jenni stood there as the first trickles of rain started to come down fast, her head back as she listened to her family bicker about what they'd hunt, she knew all of their eyes would be on her as she stood there with her face towards the sky as the rain pounded against her face. They all knew the secret behind her enjoyment of the rain, though she herself didn't. She turned her head back towards them at the precise moment when they all began to change into the sleek forms of wolves, her awe and jealousy obvious on her lips as she watched them turned into the magical beings that their blood allowed them, but not her, to become.

OOC: Sorry if... it's a bit long.. lol.

She looked up from her stitching when the rain started, and pulled her hood up over her head. Kendra Montgomery was in the woods again. She'd not seen any abandoned places around as she'd travelled in the last weeks, so she was confined to the forest, which wasn't all that bad, but she'd fallen and torn one of her pant legs. Her light bag was stashed under a low branch of the tree she was sitting under, so her other few items were staying dry, but she knew she would probably get a little wet, herself. That wasn't a big deal though. It beat the hell out of death. And when did a little rain ever kill anyone.

Once the morning was beginning to come, she heard the wolves. They always came out in the rain. She smiled and got back to her stitching. The sewing let her mind wander as her hands focused on not pricking themselves. It had been months since she'd been in contact with any human being besides the occasional tinker or peddler to buy an item from. Inwardly, she cursed the tyrants who'd put her in the situation. For a moment she thought of that though. She put herself in the situation too... but it was either that or imminent death, and she chose this life. After all, life is life, no matter how odd or secluded. Sometimes she longed to just go back home, see her friends, sleep in her own bed... but if she had any brains in her head, she knew that the warlocks had probably burned the building down already, and going home would be stupid, because they'd have someone there watching for her.

She finished fixing her pants, and tied a knot in the thread, and put the needle back into her bag. The cold was getting to her fingers, so she blowed on them and slipped them into some gloves, then pulled her cloak tighter around herself with one hand, stuffing the other one in her pocket with her pentacle. Her hand wrapped around the symbol of her faith, and she prayed silently that it would all be over soon and she'd have somewhere to go back to when the time came.

The rain had been raining for a while and she was drenched in rain. Sydnie sighed. "Some luck I'm having. At leadst they have stopped chasing me....maybe they lost my track becasue of the rain." she said outloud. She kept on walking. She thought she saw once or twice a women walking by, but it could have been her imagination playing tricks on her. Boy she was hungry. She didn't have a place to stay though. She kept walking still, maybe she would end up in a little village or something... "Maybe I could try finding a place on my own with my magic." she said to herself. Sydnie stopped and concentrated on a place near her. She concentrated very hard. She came and she was able to see all over. 'It worked!' she thought very happily. 'Now...find a place with a witch and it's close.' She thought really hard and she saw a little women walking. 'Maybe she has a place. Can I find her name? No....I see...she has a needle and thread...for what I wonder?' she thought. She then heard a crack behind her. This broke her concentration. 'Oh no! Please don't be a warlock or anything! Please don't be a warlock!' she thought desperatly. "Please...have mercy on me...." she whispered to the on coming figure.

(Very good everyone, sorry I have taken so long to reply. Was away from Christmas. )

Damien was shaken from his thoughts by a knock upon his door and he was instantly on the defense, just in case his hunters had tracked him down despite all his best efforts. He quietly approached the door after placing a protective spell about himself "Hows out there?" he called cautiously. It could be anyone out there, maybe even someone in league with the Warlocks, he could not afford to be too careful and so he waited for an answer before he would open the door. He held his pentacle with his left hand and gripped the door handle with his right, he hoped with all in him that it was not those who hunted him.

His eyes were slightly narrowed as he stood stock still, awaiting a response from beyond the door. The rain thudded down onto the roof of his ramshackle house but still he would not budge, still he would not give in without first knowing whether the door knocker was a friend or a foe.

Sydnie was saw who was coming from the bushes, warlocks. 'They found me again!' she screamed in her head. She realized she was still near the old house where she was before and she heard, still from her magic a bit, someone was there. She ran quickly, and queitly, from the warlocks to the house. She tripped on a rock once but luckly the warlocks didn't hear her. She got to the door and she started calling to the person from inside, "Please help me! I'm being chased by warlocks! I swear I'll be good, please just help me for the time being!' She was crying, for the warlocks had sensed her out and they were coming for her. "Please! Help me! I-I beg of you, please!" she cried once more. 'Is this how I'm going to die?' she thought to herself.

[That's alright Kaine, Hope you had a good Holiday, and welcome back! =D]

Jenni watched as the wolves circled her a few times, and she went down onto her knees to accept the kisses and tackles. She may not be able to change her shape, but she did have a few traits from them, and she wasn't scared of wild animals that's to her family being a pack of wolves. She watched with very pale eyes as her father and mother looked back at her once more, before the took off, bounding over a bush and off into the hunt. Her sister followed them quickly, while her brothers rubbed against her shoulders, their large forms as tall as her when she knelt. She smiled, and scratched behind both of their ears, before she received a huge lick across the face from both of them.

She sputtered, then wiped her face off as she watched them sit beside her. They always gave them a head start. "You guys are lucky that you can change... I wish I could." She said softly, so quiet she barely heard herself, but Rickey let out a low whine. They all wished she could run like them. They sat there in silence for a short time longer, waiting for the call from her father's maw. And when they heard it, oh how Jenni wished she could see it. She knew her father was seated on his haunches, his maw in the air as opened slightly as he called to his family. His sleek black form, slightly smaller then his sons but bigger then his wife and daughters forms, would have perfected posture as he pointed his nose into the air, up at the stormy clouds.

Jenni smiled as her brothers, Rickey and Derrek, barreled up and across the grass, easily jumping over the bush before racing after the others. She sighed wistfully; Oh how she'd love to be a wolf with them all. She looked up at the sky, her throat starting to hum a slow song, though she didn't know the actual words, nor did she know that it was a chant. She closed her eyes and sat still for a long time, her minds eye picturing the running wolves as they stalked an elk. Rickey glanced up from the steaming, bloody body and gazed at where Jenni was seeming to watch from, then slowly he bumped his father, earning a snap at his face; but not long after he was able to get his dads attention upon the spot. The wolves looked up over their kill and let out soft yips, smiles seeming to be upon their maws.

What Jenni didn't know, was that she had actually managed to appear there, though her image was very transparent, seemingly almost not there. But was a shimmering that Rickey hadn't been able to not notice. She watched them like that for a short time longer, before she felt herself start to fall asleep in the rain, getting woken when a cold wet nose touched her face and hands; she knew it was Derrek or Rickey, they always were the ones to find her like this, asleep on the lawn, even though the others were still out running through the bush. "Oh Jenni, my silly little sister.." Rickey's voice faintly echoed in Jenni's ears as he stroked the blonde and blue hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear.

(I don't know the school schedule in Rowan, so I'm saying it's a seven-period day with shorter classes. If there's any reason for it to be otherwise, PM me and I'll change it.)

Linta pulled her pale yellow hoodie over her head and shoved her books into her knapsack, closing her locker. In sixth-period English they were going to have a sub, and it was always easy to cut last-period biology. The teacher never paid attention to anything.
Footsteps sounded down the hall - a teacher with a prep-block, or maybe the principal. Linta darted forward ten lockers and slipped into the bathroom, the main reason that she liked the location of her locker. She stayed in the bathroom for a count of one hundred before sliding out and making her way to the back entrance.
Someone, a long time ago, had seen fit to build a brick wall around the back of the school, and the administration thought that would prevent anyone leaving the school grounds from the back. They were mistaken.
Linta slung her knapsack over one of the low-hanging limbs of her favourite tree, the one right up against the wall. She shinned up the trunk, recovering her knapsack and climbing a few branches higher. Secure of her position - as much as she could be on the wet bark - Linta leaned forward and dropped her knapsack over the wall. Then she swung her legs over and dropped onto the top of the brick structure.
Her feet slipped on the wet surface, and she felt herself falling. Desperately, she grasped at the branch, barely catching herself as her shirt ran up, rough brick scraping her stomach. She allowed herself a few deep breaths before attempting the scramble back to the top of the wall. Once there she sat, unwilling to trust her feet on the wet brick.
Usually, when it rained, Linta stayed in school. The climb out of the schoolyard would be drenching in the wet, she knew, so she'd never done it. Today, though, she hadn't been able to handle the droning, condescending teachers and the mind-numbing classes. And she'd learned the hard way not to do it in the rain again.
Slowly, as the horrible feeling left her stomach, she stood - carefully - to risk the jump down. This time, her only injury was slight trauma to her knees from the landing.
Linta picked up her knapsack, winced at the pain in her stomach, and headed into the woods for the shelter of the trees. There was a small grove where she usually went, but it might be soaked today. She'd have to see.

(Thanks Midnightfire, I did have a good holiday thanks. Vinyaya, thats absolutely fine)

Damien understood and opened the door hurriedly, he gently pulled the girl who stood there inside and closed the door behind them. He quickly placed a protective spell over the door and checked to make sure that it was securely locked. Then he turned to the girl and studied her for several moments;

"Hello, my name is Damien," he said in an effort to be friendly "you were lucky to get away from those Warlocks, they are cunning and ruthless in the extreme."

He smiled at her again in an attempt to calm her, he knew very well what she must be feeling. Fear and panic mixed with the feeling of helplessness. This was exactly how he had felt when he had first fled to Rowan. He quickly moved about the small house, shutting all the windows and pulling the curtains. Then he walked to the table, lit a white candle in its centre for protection and then pulled out a chair for her.

Sydnie was getting worried because the warlocks were closing in on her. She was beginning to doubt that the person behind the the door was going to save her. 'This is it, Sydnie...' she thought as she braced for impact. 'Your going to die.' She was ready for pain until all she heard was a door open, arms helping her though the open door, the warlocks yelling and some spell being casted. Blinded by confusion, she looked about where she was but she was so confused. 'Where am I? Is this Heaven?' she thought. 'Did I die?' She looked around and then down at herself. She looked fine, she felt fine. 'No I'm not dead.' she thought, relieved. "Hello, my name is Damien," said an unfamiliar yet friendly voice. "you were lucky to get away from those Warlocks, they are cunning and ruthless in the extreme." Sydnie looked up and was staing in the face of a young man. Sydnie was scared at first but he went away and shutting windows and making sure they were locked, she knew that she was safe if he was around. "Maybe he can teach me..." she whispered. 'Now now Sydnie don't get your hopes too high up.' she thought. He came back, smuled at her camly almost as if saying 'everything was going to be alright'. For once Sydnie felt at home. The man pulled up a chair for her and Sydnie sat. "M-my name is Sydnie..." she said, stuttering a bit still from the shook. She realized she stuttered and blushed slightly. "Uh...thank you for..uh...saving me Mr. Damien...sir..." she said again. She kinda half bowed while she was saying it. "Um...Mr. Damien you have a very lovely home here." she commented, she smiled after. "Is there a Mrs. Damien?" she asked, trying hard not to sound rude. She was trying to chat him up since she was going to be staying with him until the warlocks left. Then she'd probably be chucked out of the house and back on the street, so she figured she might as well get to know the Master of the house. Sydnie was looking at Mr. Damien in his eyes, awaiting the answer. She always looked at people in the eye, she was raised that way afterall.

Damien was glad when Sydnie started to relax, it would take a little while for the shock to wear off completely. He laughed when she kept calling him Mr. Damien "Please call me Damien, Mr Damien sounds far too formal and stodgy," he laughed again and flashed a warm smile in her direction. "You woul call me Damien or Mr Willow but to be perfectly honest I would much prefer a simple Damien, its much easier than calling me Mr Willow all the the time." When she asked if there was a Mrs Damien he chuckled, a deep rythmic sound "Unfortunately no Sydnie, my life has been too....unsettled of late to allow for that," he said and watched her with interest "you certainly are a willing talker, a good quality I would have to say."

He moved to adjust the candle upon the table and as he did so his pentacle necklace swung from its place on his neck and dangled in the air. "Are you hungry or perhaps thirsty? I would not be a very good host if I left my guest hungry and thirsty. As for your comment about this being a lovely home, I thank you but it is rather ramshackle if I say so myself."

A willing talker he had said to Sydnie, when in honesty Sydnie was just trying to make a relationship, a bond, with Damien. She was a bit sadden that there was no Mrs. Damien but it didn't matter as long as she knew she was safe she would be fine with Damien, for now. When Damien moved to adjust a candle, Sydnie saw the pentacle from his neck. She tried hard not to stare at it and listen to Damien, she had heard him ask if she was hungry or thirsty. Sydnie was going to saw no until she noticed that her stomach was growling, loudly too. She felt the rumble go right through her body and it sounded very loud. She wasn't sure if Damien heard but he must have seen her clutch her stomach. She looked at her stomach then at Damien and said quietly, "I think I could do with some food." She didn't want to sound rude, so she chuckled a bit and smiled a bit. "And no your house is'nt a ramshalk to me, Damien." she said looking around. "I think it's more of a....sanctuary." She looked at Damien and smiled. She really wanted to ask Damien something about the necklace but she wasn't sure if he would teach her. The question was too tempting though for her to take. "Uh...Damien could...Could I ask you somthing?" she asked.

((Waiting for others to post))

For everyone's reference this is a Pentagram:

It is often confused with a Pentacle. But a Pentacle lacks the enclosing circle.

Kendra stiffened. She heard movement somewhere, around her, in the grove. Slowly, she took a breath and silently gathered her bag close to her, preparing to get up and run. Her legs almost shook in anticipation in her crouch, but she stayed in case they didn't see her. She didn't want to start running again, she was wet, and cold and tired.

Hey dark eyes scanning the trees for any sign of warlocks, any sign of anything else. but trying to keep her heart and breathing quiet. Then she saw it.

A yellow hooded young girl, a few years younger than her, maybe. She had a nap-sac with her, 'Is she hiding too? Is she also a witch?' She thought, 'Or is she disguised? Perhaps she is nothing really.' No matter the truth, she was calmer than she had first been. Her black cloak shielded her from the rain, and possibly from the girl, but something told her the girl was not dangerous, and would actually be helpful. 'I do need a place to stay... food perhaps? I shouldn't get my hopes up, but if she is willing... If she isn't I can keep running for a few days.'

And so she stepped out from her hiding, toward the girl, her bag in her arms her head, up enough so the girl could see her face, and she walked closer, so that once she was close enough for the girl to hear her, she spoke. "Uh... hi."
