Perfect Moments - A Camp Rock FanfictionSummary: Since Shane and Mitchie are my current obsession, I thought I'd make a fanfic for them just because Camp Rock didn't provide as much cuteness as I would have preferred. It starts off an hour after the ending of the movie, and continues from there. Rated PG 13 for sex eventually (not detailed, just afterglow.) And language too if you are living in Disney Channel world where "crap" and "suck" are pretty much considered swears. Chapter 1:
It was an hour after the Final Jam had ended. Mitchie had never felt like this before in her life. Her heart was fluttering and she could not believe that her hand was holding his. To others, he was arrogant, drop dead gorgeous superstar Shane Gray. But to her, he was the sweet, artistic, guy who she was slowly beginning to fall in love with. This was the most perfect moment she could ever remember experiencing. Suddenly, Shane's voice took her out of her dreamy trance.
"Ready for that canoe ride?" he asked her, his brilliant smile flashing in the moonlight. Mitchie nodded as they walked down to the lake and hopped into the canoe which they had first ridden in together many weeks before. For a little while, they just sat there, floating in the water. Neither one knew what to say to one another. The quiet summer air just seemed enough. Words were too complicated. Finally Mitchie decided to break the silence. "I'm so sorry." she whispered. The guilt was finally catching up with her. Shane gave her a confused look. "For what?" he questioned, confused about why she was apologizing. "For everything. For lying and making you think that I was just using you for your fame. I would never do that. You are such an incredible person, way better than all those stupid teen magazines make you sound. And I really don't even deserve forgiveness for what I did and -" Before Mitchie could finish her sentence, the beautiful boy in front of herleaned in, and she felt Shane's gentle lips brush hers, silencing her, and once again making her heart beat faster and faster. "No need to apologize. What you did was wrong, but...I forgive you. You are the first person I've met in a long time who likes me for me. You have no idea how much that means to me." He rested his forehead on hers and began to sing the song he had written for her. The song he had written before he even knew who she was. "You're the voice I hear inside my head. The reason that I'm singing. I need to find you, I gotta find you. You're the missing piece I need, the song inside of me. I need to find you, I gotta find you..." He lifted his head and grinned at her. "I guess I finally found you, huh?" Mitchie laughed. "Yeah you did. And I am really glad." She kissed him once again, this time with more passion and fire. The kiss went on for almost an hour, until Mitchie realized that it was getting late. "Shane, we really better get back or we are gonna get in a lot of trouble." Shane sighed. "I know, I know. I wish we didn't have to though." He ran his hands through her hair and gave her one last kiss. They then brought the canoe back to shore. "Well, I guess this is goodbye for now." Mitchie said, half smiling because she was still in a trance from the kiss, but half sad because she had to leave Shane."Yeah, I guess so.' Shane stated. "I'll miss you, Mitch." Mitchie nodded. "Me too. But it's only for tonight. I think you'll live" She said, teasing him, and then embraced him. "I know, but I went so long not even knowing you were the one...I wanna make up for lost time." He said, still holding onto her tight. "There is plenty of time for that. I promise." She kissed his cheek and then walked away. Shane stood there watching her, until finally she was out of sight. Eventually he walked back to his cabin and crawled into bed. "I think I'm falling in love." he mumbled to himself, and then drifted off into sleep.
As Mitchie walked back to her cabin, she couldn't get Shane out of her head. She had never felt this way about anyone before. When she arrived at her bed, she collapsed down onto the pillows and curled up in the blankets. She had finally broken out of her shell and she had finally found someone to love. Everything was so perfect. To be continued....
