I don't know if anybody heard of it yet (or even here anymore) but according to the new issue of Nintendo Power (Vol. 232) Sonic is having a new game called "Sonic and the Black Knight. The graphics was amazing, and in this game, Sonic is using a sword...that's right, a sword. One picture shown Sonic slam his sword on the side of a wall to prevent himself from falling, and another picture of Sonic racing towards the Black Knight himself. From Nintendo themselves (pg 40) they say (grab some popcorn, this is gonna take a while) "Our hero begins his quest as a mere knave. Only by becoming a full-fledged will he have any hope of defeating King Arutur. (A.K.A the Black Knight, We're not sure what turned him to the dark side, but we supsect it might have been that awful Clive Owen movie. Plus, Sir Sonic has a nice ring to it) anyway, Since the finger-wagging hedgehog isn't exactly known for being chivalrous, his sword--a talking blade named Calibur--serves as a mentor on the ways of the round table. Of course, the most important of a knight's virtues is devotion to helping others, and throughtout each stage, you can find civilian townfolks in need of assistance. Should you lend your services--rescuing some poor soul from wrongful imprisonment, for instance--you earn points towards knighthood. If, on the other hand, you inadvertently smite one of these innocent bystanders, your reputation will take a hit. (And if you do it on purpose, you're just a jerk). At the end of each stage, the game tallies your good--and your not so good--deeds and updates your rank accordingly." After tying all of that, I can't wait to play that game.
