Appearance: She easily stands at her full five foot five height confidently, loving her job, her life, her work, and her friends. She knows everyone in Miami – and we mean everyone. If not by name or family, then by sight. She travels around Miami enough to everyone by at least those standards.
She wears, sincerely, whatever she feels like wearing. Some days it’s flowy dresses, some days it’s skirts and a nice shirt, some days maybe even a suit. It all really depends on how she’s feeling and what she feels like portraying – but she always makes sure to be fully clothed before hugging her precognitive friend, Lox.

Character: Merits:
Kind, loving, stubborn
Flaws:
Naive, stubborn
She’s always very happy to help anyone who needs it, and is almost kind to a fault. She’s also loyal and as protective a human can be to her fae ‘bodyguard.’ Again, her kindness is to a fault of naivety. She’s willing to help anyone – if someone is playing dead to lure her into a trap, she’ll fall right into it.
--
Personality: Leila is kind and helpful to a fault. A picture of a loving grandmother, she takes that personality with everyone – unless you’ve hurt someone who she trusts or love very much, either her sister or her dear friend Lox. Always willing for an adventure, she’ll periodically just decide to walk around Miami, and will close up shop for an hour or two during the day and go out with Lox. Except for these times, the shop it literally always open. Even when it’s ‘closed,’ she lives right upstairs in a little flat with Lox, and she’ll hear the bell ringing – or Lox will, and he’ll wake her up.
She loves her job, and it shows in the way she takes to it. She won’t handle certain gemstones – they don’t like her – and when some get shipped in she likes specifically, she’ll keep those on hold until she decided if she wants them or not. Being a very hugging, loving woman, she often hugs Lox, even if he doesn’t understand him. She lets him know it’s her way of letting him know she loves him and is always there for him – and also, if he doesn’t accept her hugs, she knows his full name. She’s never used that against him though, as any time she needs an errand run, he does it dutifully and quickly – if only to get back to protecting Leila faster.
She loves Lox so much, she’ll even cook the birds he brings her so they can enjoy them together. He’s never a fan, but it’s that or eat it raw by himself – which she knows he will sometimes do.

Background: Leila was born as the older child of two, her little sister being born five years later. Growing up in Georgia, she was raised almost purely to cook – until her parents noticed she had to Sight. True Sight. Her father had this too, and taught her to hone and use it, and told her she wasn’t crazy.
As a child once, on a playground, she found Lox. Having never seen something so much like him, she was intrigued – and of course, it was in her kind nature to take him home, holding his hand the whole way there. Her dad saw him for what he was, and accepted him, though kept a close eye.
Until the fire.
Lox, having a fondness for Leila, got her out, and Leila’s sister had been sleeping over at a friend’s. At the age of 17 and 12, and with Lox, they moved to Miami. Lox helped her hone her recently discovered sorcery, and by the age of 50, she’d honed it better than some young faeries. She learned to cook, and is often visited by her little sister – if only for the food, which of course, Leila doesn’t mind.
Leila lives with Lox, and makes him shirts for when he goes out in public that fit his four arms. A quick add-on, she’s also very stubborn. Being in a fight with her is like being between a rock and a hard place – only she’s harder. But she of course trusts Lox, more so than she even trusts her sister.

Skills: Intrinsic Abilities: Magically potent, ancient knowledge of magical entities, knowledge about local supernaturals, able to find supernaturals easily.
Other Abilities1-Minor Glamour – nowhere near as good as a trained faerie’s, but she can still use their ‘dimension’ to hide things, and to vaguely change things – rarely permanently – into other things.
2-True Sight – Glamour has no effect on her. She can see straight past your silly deceptions.
Side Effects: Performing glamour is very taxing on her, which perhaps explains why she went grey so early. She’s relieved to have Lox there, in case she ever overtaxes himself, and faints – he’s there to tuck her into bed and makes sure she rests. With True Sight, she has bad vision, though usually wears contacts or glasses, thought they’re not awful. She credits this not completely horrid eyesight to the fact that true sight apparently runs in her family. She also gets migraines and headaches periodically, especially if she sees glamoured things to much too often too long, which is why she prefers Lox to be unglamoured anytime they’re alone.
