Are satanists atheists or theists?

How do you feel about Buddhism, Wicca, and Jainism?

Is mysticism allowed if you belong to the Church of Satan (like belonging to a Unitarian Universalist church or a Wicca coven)?

Is everyone welcome to join?

How do most Satanists feel about homosexuality and gay civil union?

How do most Satanists feel about abortion laws?

MOST Satanists are ateistic.. however there are some exceptions to this. Anton LaVey did not outline any deity in The Satanic Bible, on the contrary he said we should pick a god that fits us best. My interpretation of that is if you believe in a god personally, then by all means continue to do so.

I'm more fond of Buddhism and Wicca partly because I looked into them before I discovered Satanism and partly because they're more peaceful, naturistic religions.

Mysticism, like gods, are up to one's self. The Church of Satan doesn't shun them but the typical Satanist isn't interested in such things.

No, not everyone may join the Chuch of Satan. They take careful screening on everything from you're sex life to other things (you can find a .pdf of the survey and membership application on www.churchofsatan.com ). You DO NOT have to join the Church of Satan to be a Satanist. These days it won't earn you much other than a reputation and access to a forum (w00t?). It's a $200 that can be better spent, IMO.

Satanism accepts any kind of sexual preference and fetish or activity.. as long as it doesn't involve or harm someone unwilling. We feel they have the right to have gay marriage and the religious oppression of it in 20 US states is not only violation of the Establishment Clause but also violates the personal freedom Satanism stands for.

Satanism does not advocate the harming of things that cannot defend themselves unless they try to harm you and under no circumstances should a Satanist harm a child, in fact no true Satanst would (so, no we do not condone abortion).
