Michael, before you re-base do you want to try a scrap or two? All my stuff is based for Napoleon's Battles so happy to help.

Base sizes are 3/4 x 1 for inf, 4 to a base.
1 x 2 for Cavalry, 4 to a base
1 x 1 1/2 for Guns (3 crew heavy, 2 crew light/horse)
Div commander 1 x 1
Corps Commander 1 1/2 x 1 1/2, 2-3 figs
Army/Wing commander 2 x 2 or slightly bigger

An inf bde can be anything from 4 - 7 bases
Cav - 3 - 5 bases

There is a thread on TMP in the old rules section which takes you to the old NB site and a download called "Armies for all scenareos" which goives you an idea of the amount of bases/figures required,

Nick

Micheal,
It all depends on the level of game you want to play, Nick's armies (I'm sure he'll correct me if wrong) plays divisonal\corps level games whilst I prefer 'In the Grand Manner' which can be used for all levels, involves a lot more figures, is a bit slower and hence tends to be played at Brigade level. Typical Btns are 36 - 48 fig strong

If you want to try out the rules one evening let me know and I'll bring some stuff along

Hi, being an old Empire rules man, I like big armies, masses of artillery and heavy cavalry, yes I would like a game, I will be at dorchester on the 18th for sure, not so sure about yeovil at the moment as I limited time at the moment.
after the 18th should be able to make any date. michael

Indeed NB is for larger battles, Corps, Wings and Divisions - masses of guns being rather common and colourful cavalry stomping around adding class to what would otherwise be a rather messy brawl!

Tally Ho!

Great...if you have Thurs free in future we can do some games round at my place!

I have a game booked with Roger for thurs 18th, a dry-run for the game we wil do at the yeovilton bash.

Ohterwise, on a later date, yes, the bigger tables at Dorch would permit of an 800 or 1000 pt game!

No probs Colin!

I aim to leave out between 6 and 6.30 so as to get a parking space in Dorch High St!

I'll be home a lot earlier than that though so stroll on round as soon as you wish!

Did you book a twin room at the travellodge or a single, I think I will count myself in!
