All,

This area is for individuals to introduce themselves, let the club know what games you like to play, what armies you've got, this will help organise games and give new members an idea of who we are and what armies we each have.
This will act as a repository of knowledge regarding membership.
Please follow suite but however, please don't reply to intros here as it will just clutter the thread.

New Members

Please add a few lines, by way of introduction, to say who you are and what you play.

Gentlemen,

good to meet you last night, and what a success:-

a club, in a pub 10 minutes from Hardington!

I ran the Napoleonic game last night and intend to run a Boridino game Firday 6 - Sat 7th June (This weekend) If anyone feels the need to play let me know, or even if you just want to pop down to have a look, I shall check here over the next days.

Otherwise I have been in the area for 3 years, work near Stonehenge, dive and ski when I have the chance and have the following games/armies etc:

15mm - Napoleonics - Napoleon's Battles, pretty well everyone except the Swedes
28mm - Eastern Renaissance/TYW - Polish/Muscovites and Swedes/any one involved (case of change the flags!) Hussaria rules but looking at other systems
28mm - Victorian Sci Fi/ Franco Prussian war/ Colonial - Gaslight rules, plenty of wine and slight insanity
20mm - WWII - 1939-1946 Panzer Marsch and most recently converted to Rapid Fire
20mm - Fire and Fury
20mm - WWI - Manouvre warfare at 2 miles in the hour
15mm - DBA/M/HOTT - Dark ages/ Airfix Spacemen!
15mm - AK-47 - Peter Pig say no more!

I also have my old Warhammer collections from the times before I converted to Historical many moons ago and large unpainted Italian Wars/ Medieval and Lord of the Rings armies waiting for a little inspiration.

Looking forwards to more games,

Nick

Gents,

I'm Ralph Ashdown, father of Sam who lives next door to Skittles and found the Room for us. I'm married to Debbie and live in bruton with her, my stepson and 8 snakes.

I have a metal mountain that is probably causing structual damage to my loft; the excuse being hat I'm hoarding lead for my retirement!

Current projects/armies include:

28mm Ancients
Late Republican Roman - just started painting
Early Imperial Roman - everyone must have one somewhere
Assyrian - too large to even concider starting to paint; the thought scares me!
New Kingdom Egyptian - to follow the Assyrians!
Huns - 120 Horse archers and spear; cheap on Wargames forum B&B
Persians - can't even remember where they came from.
Hoplites
Macedonians - cheap at the Downend Tabletop sale
Indians - needed something to take on Alexander!!
Arthurian/dark age types - they looked like pretty figures.

15mm Ancients
Assyrians - I just like Assyrians
New Kingdom Egyptians
Macedonians
Hoplites
Indians
Gallic types

28mm Renaissance
Huussites - beautiful Kingmaker figures - just had to have them!

15mm Renaissance
Polish
Turks

28mm
Back of Beyond Chineese warband - actually a finished army!!!
Back of Beyond British - a flying column
Back of Beyond russian - a pile of lead from Salute B&B this year.

15mm WWII
Brits - Both for PBI and Flames of War
Germans - PBI
Cossacks - PBI
Italians - Flames of War

28mm WWII
US - Painted for Rules of Engagement
Germans - pile of lead for R0E

28mm Cowboys and Indians - Legends of the Old West

Tons of Dwarves, bretonnians and Orcs for Warhammer
Too many Imperial Guard and Orks foe 40k

Plus loads of other stuff I can't even remember but I'm sure will turn up when I'm looking for something else!!

Having listed everthing I can remember I am always interested in the next Project.

Anyone for WWI ?????????????????????????

Steve,
I work at Blandford and we have a wargames club there as well, unfortunatly the majority are only interested in GW stuff but I'm sure we can organise a game there one weekend. If your coming over to either Yeovil or Dorchester in the near future we can try and sort something out if you want
