Law Of The Land

Accepted Characters
This is where the master list of all characters will be placed after acceptance. (Or abandonment.) If you have joined and submitted a character without posting, you will be given a gracing period of 3 days. On the 3rd day, the application will be sent here in the Abandoned Characters sub-forum.

The Borders
The King often assigns other males within his pride to engage in constant patrol. This is where any new comers seeking permission to join the pride must come for acceptance.
*The King does not have to accept any Lion or Lioness

The Gathering Grove
This is where the Ra'faï Pride dens and resides. Pride meetings are often held here. But this is also a crowded location during the rainy season. This leering grove of trees provide shade and shelter. The earth that surrounds the trunk and roots of the tree is easily shifted. One can dig a little pit or attempt to make a den if they like.

The Hunter's Plains
Here is where the Ra'faï Pride comes to carry out their hunting. Not many promising herds reside here, as prey tends to be scarce within these lands. At any rate, an angry rhino or a bull elephant will definitely make their presence known.

The Flatlands
This is an area within the Ra'faï Territory that is rather desolate. The ground is sparse in it's fauna, and there are hardly any trees. The African sun beats down on all that dwell here. But the occasional straggler from a herd could easily be picked off here.
*This is also where male lions come to partake in duels.

The Rendezvous
This is the only bit of land within the Ra'faï territory that is lush and beautiful. Quite simply it's a patch of trees and shrubbery that forms a small grove of comfort and shade.
This is the perfect meeting place, for those plotting or courting...

The Ashen Field
This field is notorious for suffering with wild fires. During the driest times of the year, if lightning strikes and flame ignites a fire will be had. For this reason, the trees that are left standing are charred and smoked.
*Many rogues and wanderers yet to be granted acceptance by The King reside here.

The Gorge
During the rainy season the gorge often floods serving as a barrier to prevent anyone in the Ra'faï territory from leaving. When it floods, it also prevents others from getting in.
Any other time the gorge is a large hollowed out space of rock and stone. So please be careful.

The Watering Hole
This watering hole isn't very big, but it seems sufficient enough for those in need of quenching their thirst. During the drought, the water hole dries up ... Leaving the animals to seek refreshment and nourishment in the river...

The Elephant Graveyard
This is a shaded area located nearly half a mile from the river. The graveyard consists of barren trees and bushes. A few boulders are scattered about in the dead foliage. If you look closely one will also find a variety of skeletal remains.
*This is a sacred land. Not only the elephants use this location to mourn for those they have lost. So please be respectful.

The River
The river that winds through the Ra'faï Territory is very dangerous, as it's often used by herds trying to reach the land of the Bimbari.
*This river has very FEW crocodiles. They tend to remain within the lands were food is abundant.
*During the drought, the river acts as the only source for water in the Ra'faï Territory.

The Hills
This land has remained unclaimed, because the ground proves difficult for any prey. The view is rather lovely, and it's a great place to seek counsel for the spirits of the Earth.
*Be watchful, just as you can see everything here. You can be spotted from below.

The Lowlands
Situation just below the hill side, this land is often that of a shady place. The grass grows high here as the land is lush. But because of the surrounding hillsides, most herds rush to get in and out of this land...
*This is a great place for rogues to take temporary residence.

The Brush
Many trees of all shapes and sizes are found here. It's a twisted tangly maze of a place. The shade is plentiful, and hunting here tends to be successful. When small herds of antelope and gazelle pass through here, it's easy for them to be divided and confused.

This is where the Nakobe Pride rests and takes shelter. Often times The King will hold meetings here. The Lionesses rest here with their cubs, because the caves provide cool shade of comfort.
*A Lion or Lioness must be accepted by The King in order to sleep here.

The Lush Meadow
This is a beautiful meadow found within the Nakobe lands. The grass here is very thick and very green. Even during the drought, this land survives a bit longer then the other surrounding fields.
*As beautiful as this spot is. Most wise forms of prey avoid grazing here. The grass provides too much shelter for a predator...

The Rock Cliffs
These rock cliffs over look the gathering caves, but they are some distance away. From here The King and all of his successors and can hold private meetings while also keeping watch over their land.
*It's dangerous, so please be careful. Some how a few trees managed to grow upon the very top of this odd cliff side. The shade is decent... But be weary of the edge...

The Sand Dunes Field
This sparse bit of ashen land and dust is near the south border of the Nakobe Pride's territory. It's a beautiful place that houses an odd feel of scenery.
*Be watchful... The Sand Dunes is where hyenas and other challengers often dwell...

The Watering Hole
This is where all the animals within the Nakobe Territory come to drink. A large elephant herd often resides here, making a muddy mess...
This watering hole is FREE of crocodiles. It's located in the middle of the plains. It dries during the drought ... Causing all the animals to seek water from the river.

The River
The River winds all through out Africa. This River is shared by the Ra'faï as well. It sweeps through both rival Lion Territories.
During the drought, the river is where large herds gather for nourishment. *Please be careful of crocodiles.. This is where they hide and take up residence.

The Large Birch
This is the largest oldest tree in the Nakobe Territory. The trunk is massive in size. The majority of the Pride could easily climb up and sleep in the thick over sized branches.
This tree is huge! Plus it provides a great view, and wonderful shade.
*Watch for Baboons though...

The Oasis
This location is almost a tropical haven. Its very lush with a small clear pool where some fish live. A slippery rock side is present with a water fall.
*During the drought the water fall becomes a mere trickle.
*During the rainy season, this location floods horribly.
