Despite her envy, she spent the first 7 years of her life well, building her social skills as a child, reading, singing and playing the piano.

Extra information: Melina is a shy girl, quiet, and clumsy. Some wonder how she can even manage to stand up right. Soon after she attended this school her father became ill and died, her mother refused her request to come home and later fell ill as well, and died. With no home to return to she keeps dancing, she had never once attended dance lessons but, as it turns out she is a natural. All Melina's hopes ride on upon getting a scholarship for university. She has many talents, like mathematics and playing the violin or piano. Although Melina is a shy girl, she has moments when people actually talk to her. Melina's favorite places on campus are the library, if you can't seem to find her anywhere, you can guaranteed she'll be there or silently reading/staring out into the lake. Soon after coming to this school she realizes that it is meant for ballerina's and tries to dance as a ballerina, but as you can tell this does not work out very well.

The school system is the same as America (Junior, Sophomore etc.) so I'm not sure what age 13 would be. Australian schools are different... I think 16 years old would be Junior, 17 Sophomore and 18 Senior. Anything below that is Middle school or Elementary school aged.
edit: There is an outline of this now in the Sister thread. You would be in "Middle" if you are 13.

You could make your character super-smart so they're in a higher grade before they're supposed to be, but you wouldn't move to America and ask that question normally...

Extra information or pictures: Emily's mother was a dance teacher, and taught her how to dance when she was just 5. Unfortunately, she passed away when she was just 8. Her father sent her to this academy after she begged him for the opportunity to go. She sometimes tends to interrupt people and is known to be a little impatient. However, she is determined to learn properly, and doesn't give up that easily.

Extra information or pictures: Febuarie was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. She started dancing when she was 3, when she was 5 she started doing ballet. She started en point when she was 9. When she was 11 her mom died and she moved to London to live with her aunt Maria. She began putting all of her time into ballet and began to excel. She doesn't like talking about families, she really likes all types of dance especially ballet andd hip-hop. She's very American even if she has developed a very slight british accent in the last 3 years. She's very excited to attend the school.
