The smell of bacon filled my nose. The force from my hungry gut made me rise fom my bed like a zombie coming from the grave. By the time I rubbed the gook away from my eyes, reality set in. Today was going to be the buisiest day of my summer vaccation. I lookied at my suitcase and all of the electronical wires from my camera, PSP and Ipod was tangled in a ball. I sighed " Ohh! How convienient". In a groggy mess, I stumbled over to the window and closed it. The heat from the cracked window overpowered the air conditioner.I grabbed my backpack and shoved the wires into what little open space I could find. Then i grabbed some clothes and got ready fairly quickly. I didn't want that bacon to be devoured before I could get my hands on some. All of the stuff hanging from my arms made me look like an over worked packastany cammel. Though, no matter how stressed I was now. I knew by the end of the day I would be in paradise, Hawaii. After I had ate I sat down and watched the clock intently as I was waiting for the end of the world. Itseemed like the clockvnever moved a bit. Dad wanted to leave for the buss early, so we had no chances of missing it. We gathered our stuff, shoved it into the car and headed off to the busstop. The Busstop we orriginally were goignt to go to was right down the streetn but for a last minutechange we went to the busstop by the WestHills hospital. We thought it would be a bit safer that way.My dad dropped me off with the luggage, then went back home to drop off the car. It was easyer tot take the buss to L.A.X. rather than paying 15 dollers a day while we were gone. I lugged the stuff over to the bench and sat down. I was so hot outside that I burnt myself. I thought up a easy solution by sitting on top of two drawing books and a sweater to top it off. Withhin 5 minutes it seemed as if 20 busses came and left. I would have worried except for the huge "Out of order" signes smack on the from of all of them. Dad finally arrived at the busstop. Huffing and puffing he plopped down. He didn't seem to notice the scourching seat. Pausing for a second and looking over his shoulder, as if someone was stalking him he said "W-was that our bus?" He sounded irrotated by the fact that I didn't run up and make it wait for him. "No it was one of those out of order busses. All of them that have gone by have said Out of order" I tried to sound sure of myslef becuase in a time like this he would doubt me even though I was telling the complete truth. "Is this the right busstop? Were we are is in the middle of a bus loop. I just don't know if this is the beggining or the end of the loop. If those Blanking truck drivers stop for lunch right here then they mitght just skip up this stop." He sounded like he was trying to hold back rage. "Well, do you wanna walk back to the other busstop? Just to make sure." "No! I'd rather just wait it out. Bleep it" He said in such a way that i had no idea if it was sarcasm or if he really was hardheaded. He sat and fumed about it for a few minutes and when he couldn't stand anymore busses passing us he stood up looked at his watch and said "Ok, lets husstle over to the other busstop". "How much timedo we have?" I couldn't believe that he waited and then desided to hurry. "About five minutes. Lets go!" He was getting angry already. Trying to be a good person I offered to carry my sisters luggage for him. He has a shoulder problem so I felt bad. We were taking my sister a few of things. It felt like i had sixty pounds of stuff on my back and another sixty in a non-rolling suitcase with a small handle. Not to mention the ice water i had in my other hand. Yay! Pack mule! He walked as fast as he could and I waddled hehind him, trying not to fall behind. "Bleepity, bleeeep, blooooop beep BEEEP! I should have never bleeeeeepity doubted myself, bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Bleep bleep [insert profanity here] bleep!' I had no idea what he was yelling at himself for. I was to buisy making sure my hand didn't fall off to care. "Put your stuff here and wait. I'll be back. I'm going to get the car". "Okey" I was int he shade so I could care less. He stomped across the street and trudged up the hill back home. My phone rung and to my surprise it was my sister. She sent me a text message saying" Hey, How're things? Dad blow up yet? Haha!" I smiled and sent her back a text. " lol yeah. We missed the bus." By that time my dad was already back. I ran over and shoved the luggage into the back, and climbed into the front seat. We got up to the house once again and waited. One hour until we could try it all over again. The next text came in "Lol no way! That sux!". I sent her another one "yeah but he is calmer now. I guess we both lose the bet." My dad was looking at the bus routes ont he laptop, while i used my time wisely and played my PSP. He looked at me and appologised for being mean. I said "It's okey. Actually, I think it was funny. Well, Brianna and I made a bet on how long it would take before you blew up" He stopped for a second and frowened " BRANDY! WHAT! GET HER ON THE PHONE THIS INSTANT!". By the time he finished his sentence he was laughing to hard to be mad. I guess he diddn't relize that his daughters knew him a little bit more than he thought.
