Welcome to Rodecia, a medieval fantasy roleplay forum
Rodecia was once a single continent planet, it had one huge, gigantic that stretched for tens of thousands of miles. One day, however, this giant land split into four different pieces - creating many legends and stories as to why it happened. Now for the past several hundred years, the four islands have segregated themselves from each other, establishing their own way of life.
However. The islands are having problems. From in-fighting in the ruling forces to corruption behind the scenes - from war with each other to trying to make peace, the world of Rodecia is in turmoil. Some races are making unlikely alliances, and others bitter feuds. From dragons to dwarves to elves to angels to morphs to humans to vampires and everything in between; the world of Rodecia is in need of heroes. Could one of those heroes be you?

Currently undergoing reno for no real reason besides the fact that forum owner and leader Pheonix is bored. Please keep checking back, as eventualy the renovations will be done, and Rodecia will be prettyfied!.
STAFF
PHEONIX
Creator of the board and the person doing a lot of artwork behind it all. Also the person who checks the coding over every now and then and does most of the updating. Quite possibly insane, but apparently fun to be around. Don't get on this person's bad side, though.
Black Relic
Was dead, but is now starting to revive herself via use of a Phoenix Down. Helps to check the coding and update it too. Tries and fails to inject humour into most situations. Makes an ass of herself regularly.
Xenon
Well you'd have to assume this awesome person is busy, wouldn't you?
Niiro
Again, assume they're busy. I don't know where this one went either.

Emerald Mountain
This mountain is probably the most dangerous of all the mountains in the world despite being the smallest. The many different caverns of the mountain house many different creatures, many of them aren't friendly towards visitors. However, people are tempted to explore the mountain to search out and dig up the many thousands of emeralds within the mountain.

Airu City
The biggest city of them all, this place is also known as the City of Royals. It is here that the Royal Palace lies, as well as the Royal Academy of Dragon Riders and Elite Guard. Many people live in this city, and it is usually always busy whether it is night or day. There is always something to do here.

Archer's Forest
This forest is named after Archer, one of the beginners of archery, because it is this forest that provided him with the special wood he used to make Archer Arrows. However, the 'archer trees' have since been lost to the forest, and now it is simply a large forest in which many people visit or travel through.

Meadow of Mines
A meadow that was once mined into because of the ore once beneath the surface, this place is now dotted with holes. While many are shallow and aren't particularly dangerous, there are a few holes that, should you fall down, you will never escape from.

Tiamat's Sea of Sand
An expanse of sand that is inhabitated by one of the largest dragons alive, Tiamat. While no-one has ever seen Tiamat up close, the dragon has been spotted 'swimming' through the desert.
The reason this desert is also called the SandSea is because of the ocean-like appearence it has, as the sand seems to have 'waves'. This is why Tiamat is also said to be a dragon built for swimming.

Rest Island
In the middle of the SandSea is a small, firm piece of land. Aerial creatures flying over Tiamat's realm pause for rest here, and as of yet Tiamat has either never found the island, or doesn't care for it's existance. There is a small lake of water on this island, but as the weather gets warmer and warmer and the SandSea rises, this lake seems to be disappearing.

The Still Desert
While this is the same SandSea that Tiamat resides in, this half of the desert appears to be a bit firmer than the rest, and for those daring to walk, it is easier to cross. Tiamat, however, still 'swims' through this part of the desert too, and careless mistakes will end up getting you eaten.

Chiserin
Chiserin is Ayurru's second largest city, and acts as a home for Ayurru's only trade center. Being so near the coast it is easy to find both Ayurru goods, and imported goods in the trade center.
At night, Chiserin is completely still. No-one comes out from their houses at night for fear of meeting the band of thieves said to leave in the city.

Chael Ridge
This place consists of a medium sized canyon, which can be entered by dropping from the highest ridge and then flying through the narrow crack in the earth out the canyon, and over Chiserin city.
Chael Ridge is usually always off limits, and guarded by elite guard and elite dragon riders. This is because the ridge is used as the final examination for training dragon riders, and to sail through this ridge and out the other side symbolises skill and is the summation of many years training. Because the examination is always held the same time every year, Chiserin holds celebration during the exam. Exam time is when the ridge is at it's busiest.

Gold Coast
Gold Coast is named simply for the sand of the coastline, which almost shines a golden colour in full sunlight. The coastline stops at Chael Ridge, since the ridge is a canyon made from to mountains which extend slightly beyond the coastline itself. Great for holidays, but far from a tourist attraction, the coastline is never terribly populated.

Silversand Coastline
Surrounds all of Isselyn and revered for the silver colored sand that covers the coasts. At night, it glows in the moonlight making it a great place to see. It is also home to Shaded Cove, where many pirates land because of the small community they have devloped there.

Oslen's Forest
The only large woodland of the whole island, it is very expansive touching almost every part of Silversand Coastline. It was named after the forest troll that was named a hero in Isselyn's History. Ever since his death, many bandits and other dangers lurk in this forest.

Moonlight Range
A very small chain of mountains that seem forever dormant and have been worn down by erosion over the decades. Yet on this range, when there is a full moon rising, it shows multicolored light emiting from the mountain. It is on the Northern side of the island.

Frozen Lake
The only lake on the whole island, its name is given to it by the unnervingly calm water it has in any wind. It is located in the Western side of Isselyn and has one of the main rivers flow through it. Sometimes it is called The Lake of the Dead Water.

Saram Plateau
A steep uprising of land that is on the southern side of Isselyn. Its sheer height prevents many humans to climb up to the higher place. It is headquaters to a main troop of dragon riders that try to keep peace on the island. It is also home to wild dragons and other animals with flight capablities. All the levels have forest except the few of the taller that go above the tree line.

Crystal Waterway
A well-traveled waterway that is a main trade route between the capital and the Eastern main port city of Rasmel. It is given it's name for the clearness of the water even in the deepest point of the river.

Blood River
A very dangerous waterway that is on Isselyn's Western point. It starts a few miles away from the capital, goes through Frozen Lake and empties out in the ocean. However, it has many rapids, waterfalls, and a very murky surface. Many people who have traveled this waterway hasn't seen the end of it.

Falondor
Capital of Isselyn, located slightly Eastward from the center of the island. It is known for the silver sand of the beaches that is in most of the stones that built the walls around the large city as well as the castle itself. At night in the moon the city seems to glow eerily. Crystal Waterway leads into the city to the market place of Falondor, the enterance is highly gaurded and everyone is checked before they enter from any enterances just not the waterway.

Rasmel
It is the island's main port city, and is set to the dead center of the Eastern part of Silversand coast. The city is bustling with trade as it has the easiest way to transport trading goods to the capital via the Crystal Waterway. It is a very prosperous city, but small compared to the capital, but with way more people in its confines.

Wishing Coast
The coastline of Umae is famous for the number of shooting stars that seem to sail overhead at night. Therefore, many believed it to be a lucky place where you can wish for many things.

Pearl Desert
This desert is a beautiful place, it's white sand blends perfectly with the coastline. Also, should you be able to brave and bare the weather of the desert, within the sands are pearls that can be sold for a high price.

Forest Chain
This area is a huge forest, which has a small 'chain' of woodland linking it to the small, tiny little wood of Greshai. It is one of the most dangerous places on Umae Island, because of the wide variety of inhabitants, and the different areas of forest (like thick forest, or forest with a very thin canopy)

Greshai Wood
Not even fit to be called a wood, this little patch of greenary houses smaller animals, like wild ponies or rabbits. It's good for small to medium predators as perfect hunting grounds, even in winter.

Aerial Canyon
A huge canyon in the earth the lies part-way between Greshai Wood and Deep Lake, slightly to the right of both; this is where many aerial creatures like to go for flying practise, or aerial combat training. It has not been unusual for battles to start here out of pure anger, or crossfire of training.
This mountainous region is dangerous to those who do not know the areas ways.

Deep Lake
A lake so deep that no living creature has ever reached the bottom, or if they have never lived to tell the tale, many freshwater aquatic beings live here. Fisherman of the nearby town regularly fish by the lake's side, catching the freshwater fish, and some have even claimed to have seen mermaids.

Lumae Village
Lumae village was originally named Little Umae, but the villagers shortened its name over time. Much of this village's survival relies heavily on the fisherman catching the freshwater fish only available in the lake beside the village. Trading is therefore good, despite the distance between Lumae and the next nearest city.

Thyme Meadow
A huge, huge meadow that is probably several meadows adjoined stretches as far as the eye can see for an awfully long time to travellers. At the centre of Thyme Meadow (named for it's amazing ability to grow the rare herb thyme in incredible quantities) is the Umae Trade Centre, or the UTC.

Note River
A gentle flowing river that starts somewhere in Draco Mountain and end just before meeting the Deep Lake, this is at the edge of Thyme Meadow. Many people wash clothes and possessions in this lake in the belief that the river will wash away the impurities of said item. The river seems to constantly sing a gentle tune as it flows across the land.

Greater Umae City
Biggest city of the island and therefore capitol of Umae, this city prospers and grows with each passing day. Once a small village like Lumae, it now prizes it's name and cherises it's status on it's island. It also homes a small trade centre.

Steel's Cliff
Steel was a hardy explorer who travelled throughout Erryth to see if the island really was the smallest island of Rodecia that held no secrets whatsoever.
His last place of travel was the sheer cliffs that surrounded Erryth Island before they died away in the North East, and sadly his climb down to a 'hidden chamber' never resulted in a climb back up. Hence proof that these cliffs are highly dangerous to most animals, and too dangerous for humans.

Kirato
The capitol of Erryth just so happens to sit next to Steel Cliff, which is slowly starting to crumble away. The fear that Kirato might fall when the cliff collapses was confirmed when two blocks of houses were lost to the ocean, as well as their owners. However, the Governor of Erryth insisted Kirato remain his home and capitol of the island until it falls completely. Many people have left Kirato in search of a new safer home, meaning parts of this city are deserted.

Kirato Plains
The Kirato Plains were named after the city because at the time of Kirato's completion the plains were quite small and within Kirato's invisible boundries. However, since that time the plains have expanded to cover roughly half the island, and are no longer just in Kirato.

Rubian Fort
Erryth is the smallest of all the islands in Rodecia, and many people had fears of invasion when settling to live on Erryth. Rubian Fort was built as a line of powerful defence, and also to calm the people. From atop the small 'Mini-Mountain' it stands upon, the whole of the island is visible.

Shaded Hollow
The woodland that seems to be slowly growing to cover the other half of Erryth, Shaded Hollow has since consumed the city of Harisha. However, despite it's gloomy appearence the people of Harisha will testify that the forest itself is a beautiful and plentiful place.

Little Shore
The shore of Erryth is indeed little, and since it holds nothing miraculous, it was simply named after it's size. Little Shore might be the perfect irritation for over seas traders, but because it is the only shore and because it's so small, it also acts as the perfect defense. Also, the trip from the shore to the trading center isn't far at all.
