As a Survival-Horror RP, the aim of the game is obviously survival. A crucial part in creating an experience where making an ill-advised choice can truly harm your character is ensuring that there is a realistic pace.

For every post, your character has 10 Actions Points, or AP, to spend. This amount may be changed in some situations, and you will be told of this if it occurs.

The following is a list of actions, under the amount of AP they cost:

(Note: When an action has (Fine/Caution/Danger next to it, this refers to the state of health the character is in. For more information, look at the topic on Health States)

One AP
Walk (Fine)
Reload (Firearms 90 and over)

Two AP
Fire Gun (Firearms 70 and over)
Slide Down Ladder (Requires 70 Wits)
Melee Attack (Strength 80 and over)
Walk (Caution)

Three AP

Four AP
Climb (Up/Down)
Fire Gun (Firearms below 60)
Melee Attack (Strength below 50)

Get to your feet from ground

Five AP
Make Herb Mixture

Six AP

Use a Herb

To comply with AP, when you post in the RP, please list the EXACT actions your character takes at the end of the post, and how much AP they cost. For example:

QUOTE
Jeremy rolls to the side as the out of control car comes towards him. Should he avoid peril, he would then run into the nearby alley.

AP List
Run - 3 AP
Roll - 7 AP

If you are unsure of the actions your character is taking, list them in order of the highest priority. This way, if you have gone over the AP limit for a post, the actions not taken will be the ones you prioritised the least. Let's take the previous example again. As you can see, Jeremy used 10 AP which is the maximum. However, let's add an additional action:

QUOTE
Jeremy fires a shot from his handgun at the oncoming danger, before rolling to the side as the out of control car comes towards him. Should he avoid peril, he would then run into the nearby alley.

AP List
Run - 3 AP
Fire Gun - 4 AP
Roll - 7 AP

Notice anything? In this example Jeremy has gone over the AP limit. As such, I have to remove an action. Now of course it's obvious in this situation that as the Admin I would remove the firing of the gun, as the Roll action is necessary for a chance at survival in this case and after that, the Fire Gun action would cost too much. But let's say I was acting purely on the priority list, as I may have to in less blatantly obvious situations. As Roll is at the bottom, I remove the character's roll to the side in my reply. This means that after Jeremy fires a shot, he will probably be hit by the car. (Though in a situation such as this, I may well throw in a penalised survival throw for the Run action to give him a chance.) So, though not vital, if you are unsure then you will want to prioritise your character's actions in the list.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, note the 'Enter Area' and 'Exit Area' actions. When you enter an area, you can't do anything on the first post. When exiting, it is the only action you may take in that post.
