Emergency Stairwell

Connecting the East Office with the 2F East Hall, this steel staircase is located outside the station, though it is fenced off from the street. The door from the East Office leads out into a small plot of dirt at the bottom of the stairs.

The eerie sounds of a dying city can be heard in the utmost clarity here.

Shane stepped out into the fenced area. His weapon at the ready. Glancing around he looked for Aaron. "Rita? You see him?"

Entering the area, Shane and Rita find that Aaron is safe and sound here, though there are a number of Zombies on the other side of the fence that surrounds this little area. Aaron turns to face the two, offering a nod.

"It's under control here so far. The fence is holding up."

Shane swung open the door and looked around, seeing if Aaron was in any distress.

"Fuck me this is getting worse than I thought, now the birds are attacking us."

Emerging from the hallway and onto the landing atop the stairwell, Shane and Rita can see Aaron down below, a number of crows flying around nearby him.

"Argh son of a bitch, Aaron use the butt of your pistol, firing at them won't do any good. You can't change a bullet's trajectory mid-flight, swipe them outta the air!" Shane continued to slash at the crows, waiting for one to move in to peck before slashing at it quickly.

Shane manages to catch one of the birds with his second slice, though the others seem happy to fly over towards Rita on the middle of the stairwell and begin pecking at her. Aaron raises his gun and takes aim, though doesn't fire, unable to get a decent shot without potentially hitting Rita.

Aaron takes the green herb and applies it to his wounds while Rita does the same with her own. (Aaron +20) (Rita +20).

Rita nods at Shane afterwards, ready to continue on.

"Wasn't that ladder that led to the second floor of the main hall down when we were last there? I could use it to get to the otherside of the waiting room." Shane said while searching around underneath the staircase, looking for anything to help him out. "Also Aaron with crows, things that can bypass the fences flying about; you sure you want to be out here?"

Aaron takes the time to reload his gun, offering Shane a look of determination.

"I knew what I was doing when I volunteered to keep this area secure. It might not be safe, but if I don't stay, we'll be overwhelmed soon enough."

"Alright, but don't get yourself killed. Make for the Main Hall should you feel you're getting overwhelmed; I've had enough people die on me today whom could have lived." He clasps Aaron on the shoulder slightly, then heads back towards the main hall. "And should that fence fall I want you to hoof it out of here immediately...we'll find a work around...there's more than one way to get around this place I'm sure...."
