East Office

[Bern]

Connected to the Lobby by a door in the actual office area and to the 1F East Hall and Emergency Stairwell by two seperate doors in a small hallway towards the back of the room if entering from the Lobby.

The office area itself has two rows of desks, a smaller one made up of two desks to the left if entering from the Lobby and a larger row consisting of four to the right if entering from the Lobby. Each desk belongs to a different member of the R.P.D., with their own drawer and computer, as well as various files. A few bookshelves can also be found around the room, as well as a water cooler and a mini-fridge.

There is also a smaller office within the room, walled off and with a door to enter, which contains a desk and computer as well as a small safe on the floor in the corner. On the desk sits a cup of coffee still steaming hot as well as some newspaper clippings.

Shane entered the office, looking around. It's amazing to see this place nearly devoid of life.

Much like the lobby, it appeared this office was safe for the time being. Rita holstered her gun and made her way over to the desks, beginning her search.

"These plates we're looking for... None of us recall ever really seeing them around on a regular basis, just from time to time in the early days of the station. I guess they're hidden around, huh?"

"Probably some place people hardly frequented, any storage areas or offices hardly visited?" Shane started to look around, searching a few desks and checking behind any hanging art.

"I guess some of the rooms in the basement maybe. But there's alot of drawers and cabinets and such in rooms on the first and second floors that nobody ever really went into that much."

Checking behind a couple of paintings hung upon the walls, Shane finds no secret stashes.

Searching the desks in the middle of the room, Shane found a couple of things to put to use, as well as another memo.

Shane slipped the unloaded pistol into his belt and put the first aid spray into his utility pouch. "Hey I got a memo here about movement of safes...perhaps they're located in these."

Shane walked over to Rita and handed her the memo. "Looks like one is in the S.T.A.R.S. and one in the west offices. I have no clue what the combinations are though."

"Hm?"

Rita took the memo, glancing it over.

"Not quite. They've been moved from those offices... We won't be able to get to the one in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, that's in the west wing. But the other safe is here... Must be the one in that private office."

Rita replies, pointing towards the smaller office within an office.

"Hrm, well wouldn't hurt to check then." Shane moved over to the private office door, and knocked; just to be safe.

Knocking, Shane recieved no reply. The door was already open anyway and looking inside, this part of the room was just as empty of life as the rest.

Rita moves over to the back hallway doorway, peering to each side.

"Hear anything?" Shane stepped into the small private office and looked around, something has got to be here, whom has a private office with nothing to privatilate?

"Groans from the emergency stairwell... I doubt it's been overrun, it must be some of those things outside it."

Looking around, Shane can see that the safe they are looking for is sat on the floor in the corner of the private office directly ahead of him. Elsewhere in this private office, he finds something else of use. Another medicinal herb.

"Judging by the memo, the combination for that safe is 2236."

"You want another herb? I've got enough on me." Shane kneeled down next to the safe and entered in the combination, 2236. Must be an odd safe since most of the ones he's dealt with used only three digit codes.

Rita walked over, taking the herb for her own.

Putting in the combination, the safe unlocked. Opening it revealed one of the jeweled plates!

"Here we are." Shane lifted the plate up. "Just as I thought, it was in the safe. But how the hell will we get to the other one?" Shane stood up and held it up for Rita to see. "I know you don't like the idea of going over there....but I think we might have to."

"It might've just been chance. A lot of the stuff from the station's days as an art museum were kept in the east wing. Maybe the same goes for the plates. Once we've looked the whole of the east wing over and are still missing one of the plates, then we'll consider opening up the west wing."

"Perhaps....what's next then? These offices are nearly cleaned out." Shane stood up and walked over to the hallway door.

Rita moved out into the hallway, looking from one door to the next.

"The emergency stairwell. We'll take it up to the next floor. We need to see the state of the place anyway and see if Aaron's okay."

"Sure thing." Tony said, stepping out into the hallway and moving to the door that led to the ememergency stairwell. He unholstered his revolver and passed through with Rita in tow.
